2008... my comments... 1) Average winner. Should've won with 'Never Let You Go'. 'Believe' is average at best. 2) Ukraine was EXCELLENT. She's sexy, she can sing, she's hot, the show was impeccable... deserved to do so well! 3) Norway deserved to finish top 5! 4) Armenia achieved their best result, good song but terrible vocals on stage 5) Germany was terrible live too... shame as the song was decent. 6) Azerbaijan's debut. My ears still hurt :( 7) I can't even remember properly how our song goes, or how the performance was for that matter (Malta) 8) Iceland deserved better. Fridrik is ... nice!

Surprised Moldova didn't make the top 6 to be honest!

Stefan Filipovic - Zauvijek Volim Te (Montenegro 2008 - 14th in the semi final) Seems they forgot to add a tune in this one! Awful! 25. Highlights/lowlights 1. Finland winning. Didn't like the song beforehand but the performance was just... great! 2. All in all a great top 5! Pleased for Bosnia! 3. As mentioned, the horrible auto qualifiers, particularly MALTA :angry: , LATVIA (boring), SWITZERLAND (failed attempt in getting 5x 12 points) and MOLDOVA (the worst stage performance ever - kitchen sink!!) 4. Tina Karol. She is just PERFECT! 5. The Dutch votes lol 6. The absolute horror of the Portuguese entry + singers + singing (one of them was going to sing the refrain an extra time) 7. Silvia Night (hate her or love her) 8. Kate Ryan's elimination. Bad vocals performance but it should've been there instead of LT United or Armenia who gave one of the worst vocal performances! 9. The pregnant Polish lady 10. The magnificent opening show!

Oh yeah, by Kate Ryan I meant qualify but finish in the bottom half (with the two semifinal system it's easier for the favourites to qualify give or take a few exceptions)

Oh and BOO for the sound production, especially the Turkish song was ruined by the Moldovan backing track (and her screaming, she sounded like a cat during mating season!)

It was the year I realized: a) You can do well without neighbours - go us! b) A favourite can crash and burn with a crap performance - Iceland! c) A favourite can crash and burn with an excellent performance - Netherlands! d) A bad vocal performance can be muted and yet you'd still get the meaning - Latvia!

Yay for 'Lane Moje' qualifying - THE best Eurovision song of the decade by miles! Turkey was awesome, and different from all the rest. Latvia didn't deserve to be a nil pointer though, I almost voted for them!

I don't like our entry but tbh I doubt Claudia would've fared much better than this had she been chosen...

Haha, that nail-biting voting was one of the most painful experiences in my lifetime! We were so close to winning and when we finally gave up hopes, I had a sudden urge to smash down the TV! Crap year though. Malta, UK, Estonia, France and Macedonia would probably be my top 5.

13... wow that's embarrassing! Considering my tiny fish of an island had over 100 submissions (if my memory serves me right). Alas, I hope it's a pure case of quantity vs. quality!
