The band is Ginger Ninja and the title, "sunshine". ;)

I think french Nielsen's chart doesn't take many different radio stations, only national ones and, perhaps, few regional. Most part of radios that play Sexion d'assaut are national because the song is very popular in Paris, a little bit in Marseilles and Lyon, not popular everywhere else or just in rap stations. Of course, people from province hear the song through national stations but they don't like to hear it in their own local stations. In the UK, Nielsen added 33 stations to their panel very recently (as you can see here : http://www.recordoftheday.com/www/news/article.php?aid=1026). The compilation result can only get better informations each time they enlarge panel. I compile myself an airplay chart for France. Panel is 54 stations from whole country plus 4 webradios and I try to enlarge it every time I can. Here is the list of radio stations from my panel that played the first 10 songs of Nielsen for same period (stations in order of rotations & audience -from most played/popular to less-) : 1 4 DESOLE SEXION D'ASSAUT SME JIVE (14 radios) SKYROCK VOLTAGE VIBRATION RTS EVASION FM RESONANCE MARITIMA NRJ RADIO STAR SCOOP ECN ADO ESPACE LA LA RADIO 2 2 JUNEBUG FRANCIS, ROBERT WEA (23 radios) NRJ RTL2 VIRGIN RADIO STAR EVASION FM HIT WEST SCOOP OUI FM KISS FM ALOUETTE RESONANCE DELTA FM TOP 40 FMC RVM MARITIMA LA LA RADIO VIBRATION MTI TOTEM CHERIE FM RFM MFM 3 1 TE AMO RIHANNA UNI (25 radios) SKYROCK NRJ FUN RADIO STAR CONTACT KISS FM SCOOP EVASION FM ESPACE ACTIV VIBRATION LA LA RADIO VITAMINE ADO RTS MTI HIT WEST VOLTAGE RVM MARITIMA FMC LUCKY HIT HAPPY FM FREQUENCE 3 GOOM JUST HITS 4 8 OMG USHER FEAT. And as you can see, Sexion d'assaut are not so popular! -_- And you can trust me, the other stations that are not included in my panel don't play it at all (perhaps WITFM plays it from time to time, but it's not sure).

Sexion d'assaut, #1 with 14 radio stations playing it, B list everywhere except on NRJ and Lady Gaga, #5 with 27 radio stations playing it, A list everywhere (90%). What a very accurate chart lol !!! :P And Ocean Drive at #13 with only 7 radio stations far ahead Shakira with 12 RS... That's what I call making charts without any sense of representativeness.

First one Steve. ;) Congrats to Russ, great cover! And my cover for this week : http://www.charly1300.com/images/covers/ladygagaalejandro1.jpg

Polish Nielsen are not accurate with their airplays chart. Much more "in touch" with today's rotations : http://www.charly1300.com/polskaairplay.htm ;)

My cover for this week : http://www.charly1300.com/images/covers/lange.jpg

Thanks very much everyone!!! :yahoo: Generally, the "podium" covers deserve their win, still the case this week : brillant covers from Lewis and Russ! They were the best definitively! Don't know yet what I will choose this week... PS : the blue one Mickey. ;)

It was the best occasion for me to design something for the first time, using Picture It software every week until I've changed into Photoshop one year after. I finally designed templates for professional websites. That's what I call a great success thanx to Mikey and this wonderful covers challenge!

When I vote, I always forget the name of the ones who made their work. :D Of course there are exceptions, few artists like Russ, Notso or Lewis mark their own style on each cover they make. I agree with Steve, only few non-designers don't play the rules and I also noticed that few members only vote for their favorite artist. I guess the best way to stop it is to have only one theme to work about per week (as it was the case at the beginning of the competition many years ago). In this case, only people who want to vote for "the design" and nothing else will vote. :)

Thanks Mr Lovett! Your work on Xtina's eye is wonderful! Russ's work on Xtina is also very impressive with a little change of style.

Mikey, I prefer the blue one.

Congrats to Lewis and thanx for my 3rd position! Bionic or not bionic, that is the sci-fi question... http://www.charly1300.com/images/covers/christinabionic.jpg
