If this post refers to me then I don't know what your on about, there was never a time when I said pre-orders didn't exist in 2012 or before that. Of course I know that they did, my point was that I miss seeing newly released songs rise from the bottom of the singles chart to their peak positions later in the day/week as they did in 2012 and if pre-orders were scrapped then that's what we would be seeing again. It would also be good imo for entertainment reasons for EP's and newly released albums to rise up the chart in the same way. The charts would become A LOT less predictable than they are at the moment, now we know months in advance which songs are going to be #1 because of pre-orders.

Yeah it was but imo seeing a song rise from nowhere to the top whilst documenting the various chart positions is more epic. I think that Meghan Trainor will go back to #1 the following week after Cheryl Cole gets there. Speaking of Cheryl Cole it's not been a good weekend for her, she was humiliated so many times by Simon on Saturday and then 2 of her acts got eliminated :lol:

It kills the entertainment, suspense and excitement of the charts, it's like when you're with your partner and something happens prematurely. Using chart battles as an example Cheryl Cole vs MAGIC! from July could have been a really good and unpredictable showdown if pre-orders didn't exist (at least in the first half of that week anyway). Clean Bandit's rise to the top would have been quite epic to witness as well.

Scrap pre-orders I say, they make the charts really boring and predictable. I miss the days of seeing newly released songs climb from #1500 to #1 like they did in 2012.

You forgot Sam Smith who is #7. All the other songs in your top 10 that are below Sam Smith are 1 position lower than you've written.

I think this is the song that will break his top 10 streak (Azonto aside), it will chart somewhere between #14 and #19 I think.

I guess Ed Sheeran will be no lower than #2 next week unless that Bump N Grind song can get wedged in between.
