I love devoted too :D However, what does annoy me - my problem I know! - is people who come on Devoted, which is obviously for Will Young, and have avatars and banners with other artists in them! Sorry, just had to say that :blush:

I remember the earlier days of devoted, when we'd be collectively listening in or watching some pop concert multi artist type event and everyone got a good slagging off for their singing, miming, and general awfulness. Until Will came on, then we all went ballistic about how wonderful he was, and so much better than all the others. I loved those threads - absolutely hilarious :D :yahoo: It was only a bit of fun really. I think we'd be shot down in flames these days for being negative about other artists now :( It seems cool now to rave on and on about other artists in OM - which is fine - but I do think people who have a different opinion should be allowed to give it. When Will returns, I have no doubt there will be a huge diversity of opinions :o ;) :D

What will happen after this release? I suspect the song will drop like a stone - then - nothing - for weeks. Will Gareth do all this running around radio stations, TV stations, press interviews, signings etc all over again? What will be the 'big sell' next time - it can't be his 'comeback and controlled stammer' USPs next time. I'm confused - why don't they release the album whilst he's done all this promo. There's a danger he'll be forgotten by the time the next single is released - especially if this one doesn't do really well. I'm not trying to be critical of Gareth, I'm genuinely confused.

Love it - I think she's great - as long as she doesn't sort of overdo her voice, which she doesn't here. Great song.

I like Darren very much - just had a listen - very disappointed :( Listened to Spin earlier on today, by coincidence - what an album!

He's visiting record shops to do singles signings - that could push his chart position up - you don't need to sell that many to achieve a top 40 position, I believe.

Wow - amazing news - it's fantastic how Keep On won't fade away. I tried to get a copy in my local Tescos, but they had loads on offer, but no Keep On - I should have complained :rolleyes:

What a shame he didn't release Angel on my Shoulder - maybe his record company is saving that for the pre-album release single. What are predictions for next week - top 10, 20, 30, 40?

I think people need to face up to the fact that both Darius and Gareth need a good sized fanbase and great songs. full Stop. Not even the might of Simon Cowell could prevail against those!!! LOL. Simon never supported Will and was left with egg on his face when Will came back with great music for his second album, and with his fanbase not only intact, but growing healthily as a result. As for Kinda Love - my mum says 'you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear' - however it was produced it would have been the same rubbish song! Changes is far superior as a song, but still not good enough and it remains to be seen how many fans Gareth has lost and won since his last release.

I do think the Simon Cowell conspiracy theory is a bit OTT :o I doubt he's given GG a thought, to be honest.

Changes isn't being playlisted because it's not really good enough - bottom line. Angel On My Shoulder is good enough - much better song for radio. Maybe there was a deal struck - Gareth attends radio 2 show - radio play AOMS for a couple of weeks. It's a shame for Gareth - other artists with worse songs get airplay - Lemar's Tick Tock for example :cry:

I don't think we'll ever properly know what Will contributes to the song writing process. I think most of the lyrics are his - and he says he writes the melodies - someone else comes up with the riffs etc. The main thing is he chooses what he sings, he's not given the songs, and he does contribute creatively to most of them. Most artists co-write - Lemar for example - it's not unusual.

Me - I love Simon Webbe - very cool music. Muchh prefer him, his style and his voice, to Lemar!

I quite liked it at first, but have since gone off it - dull, dull, dull. Sorry. He could have looked a bit more enthusiastic about his comeback on Popworld too :o

I think she's had lots of opportunities - but she's blown them all. The Brits, on Moyles show, on the Live Lounge etc, well playlisted - lots of talk about her return to the UK. She's handled it all very badly. Having said that, the UK public do seem to move from one artist to the next newby very quickly, and I don't think she would have had the same success on her return even if she hadn't acted like a total plonker. From what I've heard, the music isn't strong enough either.
