  11. If you mean CloudTen, that wasn't a friend of Amy's. They claimed the weddig ceremony was at 5.30, when it was in fact at 1, and they said Amy was marrying Oliver Goodwill who was in the CMWYS video. The e-mail business was made up by them too, and were banned.
  12. And now for news on the fourth single from The Open Door:
  13. 'Sweet Sacrifice' was added to B4, Scuzz & Kerrang on Friday 4th May.
  14. She was also pretty stingy when it came to helping out the official forum, EvBoard. The owner E-mailed her asking if she wouldn't mind supporting the board as they were getting low on funds and couldn't keep the board running. Amy meant to send an e-mail to her manager, but sent it back to the owner of the board by accident saying; "Would you deal with this, kind sir? I'm about to rip a new one into this guy" Pretty horrible considering he's helped bring together a huge fanbase for the band. Even if she couldn't actually afford to help out the board, she could have been a little more diplomatic about it. I'd be greatful to anyone who was running a board like that. She obviously had the funds though. A week later, her thanks to the owner, was to create 'EvThreads', completely deserting the original board the owner spent a lot of time and money maintaining. She now owns EvThreads. I guess she just wants control of everything.
  15. I can't say whether or not who's to blame in this because we still don't have the main story. One story says Rocky left in January and would finish the tour, and John was still fired for no reason, and the other says Rocky walked out in protest. I'm still really interested to find out why she fired him. Rocky has acted immaturly with the 'Evanescence Sucks' but John hasn't exactly been completely childish or anything. His blog seemed as though he was really disheartened, and I don't think there was anything wrong in what he said. Sure, he called her 'Shallow', but it does seem that way from the recent interview when it was basically all 'me, me, me'. And IF He was fired for no good reason and without warning, I don't think it's unreasonable for him to be at least a bit hurt or angry? He put a lot of effort into the band, and I'd be pretty pissed to be kickd out of something I felt passionately about. BUT, we don't know the whole story.. Her statement was okay, but it was very vague. Told us nothing about what had happened, but there might be legal restrictions or something, I don't know. But as she's Evanescence now I thought she could have said what she wanted and do what she wanted. To be honest, her sister Lori made a better job of explaining to the fans.
  16. As if this couldn't get any more confusing, it APPEARS Amy Lee's wedding today is today... Here's a post off Rocky's sister on one of the forums.
  17. Statement from Amy Lee:
  18. Amy-Lee's management confirmed yesterday all tour dates are to go ahead as planned. We have to yet to hear anything else on the departure of the two members. And, I agree with GRIMLY. I did blame ben, well it seemed his fault, and Will left because of family commitments. I can't see why Amy would fire John from a job he dedicated his life to. The only thing I can think of, is that she dissaproved with him being in another band, Machina, and decided to kick him out when he refused to stop playing in that band.
  19. We have yet to hear from Amy.
  20. Amy has yet to give her version of the events, but I think she's gone power mad. Taken from a recent interview:
  21. Evanescence guitarist John LeCompt said Friday he's been fired from the band, and he also said drummer Rocky Gray has quit, so things aren't looking good for the multi-platinum, two-time Grammy winning alternative rock act, one of the biggest bands in the world -- but apparantly shrinking by the second. "I'm done, and I'm pretty upset about it," LeCompt said, calling from Little Rock, Ark., the band's home town. "(Singer) Amy Lee called and fired me today. There's absolutely no loyalty in this band." Evanescence, touring in support of its second major release "The Open Door," is on a short break after returning from South Africa. The group has two dates scheduled later this month before plans to tour Europe, beginning in Paris on May 25. A phone message to the press office at Wind-Up Records in New York seeking comment was not immediately returned. LeCompt, 34, said he and Gray, 32, plan to pour all their energy into a new band, Machina, managed by Chris Long (Crossfade). Gray wasn't available for comment. "Machina is an incredible band -- it's rock and roll," LeCompt said. Evanescence's first major release, "Fallen," featuring the hits "Bring Me to Life" and "My Immortal," has sold 14 millions copies worldwide, 6.6 million in the United States. It's one of eight albums in Billboard history to spend at least one year in the top 50. In 2004, the band won Grammys for Best Hard Rock Performance and Best New Artist. The followup, "Open Door," was released in October, selling nearly 500,000 copies in the United States in its first week and debuting at No. 1 on Billboard. It's sold about four million worldwide. This is not the first time Evanescence has had personnel problems. In 2003, guitarist and co-founder Ben Moody quit while the band was touring in Europe, replaced by Terry Balasamo from Cold. Last July, bassist Will Boyd quit, replaced by Tim McCord from Revolution Smile.
