I have to say though, I love the guitar from 2.57 onwards.

I agree with you, but she's grown a lot since then.. and Like You is just FAR too lyrically blunt to ever sing that live I would have thought. Like you actually gave me shivers when I heard it for the first time.. it really suprised me how blunt the lyrics were.. I think the difference in Hello and Like You really shows the change since the last album. But yeah she's remained persistant with Hello.. never performed it.

The Only One

Just thought I'd introduce all the drama that's been taking place on various Evanescence forums the past few days. A couple of weeks back evwebsite.com reported that Evanescence would be releasing four items for their Lithium single. HQ pictures of the Lithium EP CD and DVD cover were posted. Ecotone was a new track people had never heard of before. A lot of drama took place as a user lied about posessing the song.. but I won't go into that. Then apparently, Windup records were cancelling the release of the EP that contained the CD and DVD, and a petition began to try and get them to release the DVD again. Many threads discussing the unreleased track Ecotone were locked until someone could prove the existance of the song. Apparently, Amy e-mailed a moderator on the official EvThreads forum confirming that Ecotone does exist, and will never be a song by Evanescence. But this then goes back to the tracklisting and the information release on the Lithium singles and EP. The website with this information is known to have contact with the record company. They recieved exclusive pictures from the Lithium Video set yesterday from the record company.. so they must have recieved the information about the Lithium releases too. It's all legitimate.. I don't understand why Ecotone cannot exist? It certainly sounds like it would be an Ev track.. but why would all of that be real, except for that one track? It's all very confusing

True. I hate their interviews with Amy.. the first paragraphs of this issue is really snide.

According to todays kerrang (which has some great EV stuff in it) Lithium is out next monday! The video hasn't even premiered yet. How can they promote it? Its a great song and deserves a chance.

There is, it's just REALLY subtle in this video. It's all about sorrow and happiness. The Amy in white at the piano etc. represents happiness. There's frozen spiders etc. which shows the numbness from the Lithium (I think). The amy in black in the water is fighting from drowning, and represents the sorrow. The camera shaking is part of the storyline.. I thought that was a great touch, a techinique I haven't seen used before I didn't notice this at first, but when Amy's walking through the forrest before going in the water, the snow flakes are black. And thanks for explaining that to me Grimly, is a bit less confusing now!

No idea. I'm so confused with this record company stuff. I know there's wind up, Sony & Columbia that I've seen on Evanescence stuff. Not sure who owns what tobe honest :P

Wind Up are so uptight. The video debuted on Much Music Channel in Canada yesterday, it shouldn't be long until it's over here.

The video leaked on Youtube yesterday for 2 hours, anyone manage to see it? It's absolutely GORGEOUS. Such a fantastic video. Starts with amy in the distance playing the piano, with tress around her like an arch, followed by a shot of her on the cushion lying down (From that picture of the lithium cover), and when the guitar kicks in the camera shakes. Then she gets up and shes wearing this huge puffy white dress, and she's walking around the forest. It shows a close up of her face (her eyes look amazing) and then it fades into a shot of her in the water. I won't carry on and ruin it all, but it's a fantastic video.. so wintry and beautiful.

It must have been premature. The baby was due end of November and tonight was the last night of the promo tour. Their next apperance after tonight was December 10th for an acoustic christmas performance. They did plan around it, but I guess it just came that little bit sooner. Sucks for everyone going tonight. But they will be back during their world tour next year.. and I think it will have a longer setlist than the promo tour.. so it'll be a lot better.

Theyre in Japan and Canada in January, USA in February, so Im praying they come back to Europe. I need them at the Bham NIA! I went down to london to meet them in September.. I can't travel again :P

Single is no longer in the top 75. The Open Door has gone down 19 places to Number 59 Week 1 - 2 Week 2 - 4 Week 3 - 6 Week 4 - 12 Week 5 - 24 Week 6 - 40 Week 7 - 59 Going down quite fast.. :(
