Why do most people stop listening to Christmas songs after
I usually start listening to Christmas music around Christmas Eve/ Chiristmas Day, and keep going until the 6th Jan.

Top of the Pops: Review of 2022
Regarding the absence of a New Years episode this year, spotted that this is scheduled for the 30th December, sounds very similar to what we got in the Christmas TOTP episode: The Year in Music at the BBC: 2022 A chance to look back at an amazing 12 months of live music at the BBC. Lauren Laverne leads us through a year of unforgettable performances – from the 6 Music Festival to Glastonbury, Radio 1’s Big Weekend to Later... and featuring some of the world’s biggest artists as well as some exciting new talent.

Most Christmas No.1s?
Paul McCartney was also on Justice Collective - He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother, so Ladbaby has a few to go to overtake him.

Top of the Pops: Review of 2022
The article is a bit misleading, as it's not really 'axed' at this point since there is an episode, but very much cut back from usual. The mention of the cost of a studio suggests something like the live lounge format for this year that has been suggested. As a fan of the specials, hoping that the reports of the specials axing will trigger more emails to the bbc to get them to reconsider for future years, or at least reschedule this years cut-down episode back to Christmas day.

Top of the Pops: Review of 2022
That has also been sad, we still occasionally get repeats, but would be nice to have a new compilation, especially as TOTP2 can't have been that expensive to make as mostly archive material and a voice over.

Top of the Pops: Review of 2022
Digiguide has this description: Clara Amfo and Jack Saunders look back over the past 12 months, presenting performances by Harry Styles, Stormzy, Sam Fender, Raye and Sam Smith and playing the Christmas number one. Also joining Clara and Jack is 2022 British breakthrough star Cat Burns, performs her hit Go, while Sam Ryder chats about life after his hugely successful appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest in May. So there is at least one new performance from Cat Burns, but only that one listed.

Top of the Pops: Review of 2022
Thank you, that seems a reasonable rating for daytime on Christmas Day, although down a lot, considering most BBC Three programmes are under 100k in prime time and they keep going. Hope they can find a slot that works for it so it will continue beyond this year.

Top of the Pops: Review of 2022
This has been the highlight of Christmas TV for me, and the only two programmes per year that show music from the modern charts, so gutted it is being cut back, and worried if this is the end for Top of the Pops, how has it been rating in previous years, it was only back in 2014 they were talking about possibly having more episodes per year due to the good ratings, have they fallen significantly since then? If anyone would like to see these continue, I recommend reaching out to the BBC to say how valued these are, it was likely only the fans that have kept these running this long.
