Melodifestivalen 2012 / ANDRA CHANSEN/FINAL
Caroline af Ugglas as an artist character is fully understood when her background in Swedish high aristocracy (she is a Baroness) and classical music training (choirs) is considered. It's a play with contrasts. She became famous for translating and singing Janis Joplin songs in Swedish.

Albania 2012
Oh no, it seems they hired Americans (producer and musicians) to level the edges out of this song. Will there be anything left? Off topic: Kejsi Tola - Me merr ne enderr/Carry me in your dreams (Albanian act in ESC Final 2009, one of my absolute ESC favourites). If I remember right, there was at least 2 promotion videos (2 versions, 1 english and 1 albanian?) of Kejsi walking in an oak forest, possibly in a white ballet dress. Both must have been available from the official Moscow ESC web-site. I remember it because the Albanian version was so much better than the English version. If I'm right, there must be an Albanian version of the final revised song. The only videos I can find now is the Moscow ESC finale (English) and the Festivali i Këngës 2008 (Albanian studio version of the original song?). Anyone knows more about this? edit: OK, I found it I think. It doesn't really look as I recall, but it's probably the one. www.eurovision.vg/Past-Contests/2009/AlbaniaPromo.htm Embedded flash - why isn't it on youtube? But where did I hear the Albanian version?

Melodifestivalen 2012 / ANDRA CHANSEN/FINAL
Uugh :o ... so totally the wrong person to make such comments about. This is a very talented and intelligent woman with great integrity. Besides that, she actually is a musical genius. Besides she actually is very beautiful and loveable. For example, look at this video: LALEH - Simon Says (Official video) www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3DhrmL_YTI&feature=relmfu The song is so so though. So dear Caïn, it must be only you, clearly you are mistaken :teresa: (Crap, I didn't see that).

Melodifestivalen 2012 / ANDRA CHANSEN/FINAL
Hello buzzjacks, :) I want to thank you all for super fun readings of your posts in Melodifestivalen 2012 heats/Andra chansen/Final. I read them all with great pleasure. The desperation and confusion expressed during Andra chansen voting was hilarious :D. For me as a Swede though, everything was completely logical this year, without any surprises what so ever (that doesn't mean I agree with everything). I think there is a consensus to not allow unfortunate mistakes any more, like Pauline in 2010 and Dilba/Loreen in 2011. BTW - Pauline if you wonder: Pauline - Never Said I Was An Angel (Live SVT/Musikhjälpen 2008) www.youtube.com/watch?v=okMthExrbNI Pauline - Sucker For Love (Live Melodifestivalen 2010 Semifinal 2) www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlsSMPCgxy0 At least no one wanted anything bad happen to Loreen and the people gave her special unofficial protection throughout the process. Somehow she managed to get into our hearts and there was never any doubt who should win this year. A unique phenomenon I would say and a story that remains to be told. Therefore, a very special thanks to MelodiVÜLKivalen for his story about the events when Loreen entering stage in Globen. I have been searching more info about this in Swedish but found very little details. And yes, the act by Sarah Dawn Finer as EBU-tanten was probably directed to you brits (and all other following MF). A kind of acknowledge of the attention. So from now on you actually know that you are part of the show (Sweden isn't bigger than that). Problem is how you should respond.
