  1. Yeah, I thought a rate might be better too but happy to take part regularly. Voted for Alabama Song as it's one of the worst cover versions of anything ever!

I really hope it isn't. BBC4 fills the remit to inform, educate and entertain better than any other TV channel. I figured that because so many shows were yew-treed they're simply dispensing with the need to follow the dates and are just pressing ahead. So we might get 1982 or even 1983 starting before the end of the year. By the way - Racey... I was 3 when that programme aired and even at that age I'd have found them embarrassing. Ditto Matchbox.
  3. Totally agree. I think the lyrics irritate me. For some reason I'm quite happy with the nonsense lyrics of Firestarter but not those of Breathe. Strange.
  4. UMMMMMMMMM yes. I can't believe anyone could vote for anything from the Walt Disney / Nine Old Men era before the (admittedly much better than late 70s / 80s) 90s revival. But that's just me.
  5. Totally missed this at the weekend. I too thought Firestarter was a strange new direction but I jumped on it really quickly...mainly through having seen The Prodigy live the year before. Their live show had morphed into a heady rock 'n' roll display with Keith Flint coming to the fore far more than before. So it made sense that he would go on to front the next record. Still holds up as a great rock record that can sit alongside the likes of Anarchy in the UK. Can't quite say the same for the follow up though...which will be along soon. Not bad, but nowhere near as good as it thought it was.
  6. I only had the 1969-1974 collection on CD. Been listening to a few of the 70s albums this week though and Low is my favourite of the lot.

It's all part of the plan to make Bray Wyatt champion!
  8. This. It's also one of his best known and most played and the accompanying TOTP clip is THE definitive Bowie moment. How on earth did you not know how it goes!?
  9. Really would be a victory for music over fame if Bowie could get the top 4 slots and take Bieber's record away after just one week.
  10. Beauty and the Beast is the worst on that list by a long, long way.
  11. I stream practically all my music and he is my demographic ye young whippersnapper!
  12. Dunno how it works. I just listened to the remastered version off of the Heroes LP on Spotify. Not that one stream will matter...but lots of them and...
  13. Easily in my top 5 Disney films so no way! The 90s films need to go before any of the ones Walt was at the helm for.

  15. Nope, never liked it and never will.
  16. Alternative? To what?
  17. Aye, happy hardcore had a huge following in Scotland (and still does, albeit less popular) in the mid 90s. Not sure why we weren't as sophisticated as those down south, but there you go. I'm sure there was a much harder (better) version of 'I Want to be a Hippy' going about a year or so before, but I've never managed to find it. Not that it's really worth tracking down.... Still think Tricky Disco is the best thing GTO ever did - although The Bullfrog is a close second.
  18. True, but I'm lazy! I didn't actually go to the pics that much last year. If you've a foreign film category then I'll nominate The Further Adventures of Belle and Sebastian!
  19. Not actually sure I know 'So Pure' but a good act to start the year off.

In what reality is Richard Blackwood a newcomer? Skipped most of the categories as I don't watch them...and the definition here of drama and comedy is very thin indeed.
  22. Ah well, I try to forget these things! Robert blimmin' Miles then?
  23. Although I don't see 1996 being much of a year (Sash!, Sash! and more Sash!?) looking forward to seeing this thread back on page one.

I'd say it WILL be back to back wins. I'd say this also means that Lesnar will not enter the Rumble as I'm guessing they would have had him win it to set up a WM32 rematch between him and Reigns otherwise. This way they can have anyone they like face Reigns at WM32 instead of having to stick with the Rumble winner and that probably will be Lesnar but he probably wants to just be given the shot rather than earn it...or they might still be in negotiations and want to keep things fluid. The Reigns must defend clause smells of business continuity far more than an intentional, scripted bit of excitement but they'll be hoping it works both ways. Just as long as Reigns doesn't enter at number 2 and keep clearing the ring for 60 minutes. Boring.
  25. Didn't watch very many on the definitive list so I'll just nominate two. Best Director - Sarah Gavron for Suffragette Best Animated Film - Big Hero 6
