If Taylor doesn’t perform better than Midnights, the decline narrative will begin. She’s bound to decline at some point as is the case with every big artist in history and it will seemingly come out of nowhere.

Texas has 2 versions in top 5 on iTunes and another at #28, has had 2 versions of Texas in Apple Music in top 20 for past 2 days (now combined at #1), is #1 on Amazon Music, and has a 44,000+ stream lead on Spotify. Even if Benson has a 200,000-300,000 stream lead on Spotify by end of week, I’m not sure he gets the #1. I don’t think it’s as close as you guys think it’s going to be.

I really don’t see how he stays at #1 this week looking at iTunes, Apple Music, and Amazon and with only a very slight lead on Spotify. I’m sure he’ll extend his lead on Spotify throughout the week but I genuinely see Texas reclaiming the #1 this week.

Just reading that Beyoncé is only one of 5 women to ever reach #1 on global Spotify artist chart, and is only the second artist to topple Taylor from the top of said chart this year. And she’s 27 years into her career. Absolutely insane. Did Ariana reach #1 in the UK Spotify artists chart when she released by the way? I know she reached #4 globally but what about the UK? Just genuinely curious, not trying to start anything as I am a fan of Ariana myself.

Oh definitely. It’s not really a fair representation of what’s happening until they combine the versions, but 4 songs in top 10 based on just explicit versions alone is not at all bad.

For some reason, they haven’t combined the clean and explicit versions in the US for CC. This is also an album that will perform much better on Spotify, but we’ll have to see if I’m right.

I don’t see how Ariana could get #1 this week taking everything into account. She’s trending downwards, not upwards. And she’s already falling quite extensively on iTunes. I could be wrong but I don’t see it right now for Ariana. I think it’s between Benson and Djo. My prediction: 1. Benson 2. Djo 3. Ariana 4. Beyoncé

I hear I have been summoned? :smoke: I was expecting a bigger “collapse” from Beyoncé on Spotify but she’s holding up well. She’s out of the running this week but poised to return on album release week as it stands. It’s going to be a very tight and fun race this week.

I really like both Djo’s and Ariana’s songs so I’m happy with either of them replacing Beyoncé at #1. Beyoncé really seems to have a good grip on Apple Music and iTunes. It’s only Spotify letting her down really.
