I’m by no means an Ariana fan, but to call Yes, and? a flop is outrageous That Mariah remix is still the worst thing I’ve heard this decade, however. Nor do I think Training Season not debuting at #1 is an underperformance. Like Joseph said, Dua has never debuted at #1 before, so what exactly is it an underperformance in relation to? In order for it to be an underperformance, she would have to have a reputation for consistently debuting at #1, which is evidently not the case. Do I think Training Season is going to be huge? No. There is something missing for me as for as the song is concerned, but I have no doubt that it will experience some degree of commercial success, and I think she’s destined for a #1 album in both the US and UK. Dua is not going anywhere as much as some of you seem desperate for her to fall off the face of the earth. I am not a fan but she seems like a pretty lovely person and she’s proven herself to be a very capable artist.

Like I said, it’s almost an inevitability that she’s going #1 next week. She’s been trending upwards since the song was released and is ahead of her closest competitor on the 3 most important platforms.

You make a good point about 16 carriages. I personally prefer 16 carriages, but it does put a stop to the idea that Texas is performing well just because it’s Beyoncé. Of course it makes a difference but you could make that argument for any big artist.

That Mariah remix is absolutely the worst thing I’ve heard in a very long time. Honestly.

How is Beyoncé smashing so hard with a country song? :o Thought Dua Lipa would have it in the bag this week but Texas seems to be trending upwards as opposed to downwards (which I expected). Really hope Dua can snatch that #1 (although Training Season doesn’t quite hit like I expected it to) but it is very impressive for Beyoncé to be smashing like this considering how long she’s been around, I have to give all credit to her.

Cuff It is also now top 10 on Apple Music. Its performance so far is definitely promising.

I suspect her upcoming record is going to massively underperform. I’m not seeing much hype for it at all.

30 wasn’t up to scratch for many of you because it was much more R&B influenced than any of her previous records, as opposed to the pop balladry we’ve come to expect from her. I personally thought 30 was her greatest work to date conceptually, thematically, and sonically. I suspect her next record will be a lot less emotional and probably an experimental fun record to represent where she is at in her life right now. However, I don’t believe the rumour she is dropping an album this year. It seems way too soon but it would be a nice surprise.

I don’t love or hate it tbh. I find the chorus quite hard on the ears as it’s out of Sam’s range but I like the concept of the melody itself. Maybe it will grow on me.
