That will be worth a lot in 20 years. Take care of it.

Like I said, people are still complaining about her using the word in the first place. Listen to the Loose Women discussion on this matter. It did not matter to them that Bey had taken the word out. It was an opportunity for them to hate on a successful black woman and there’s nothing white people (disabled or not) love doing more than that.

They’re still not happy and still complaining. She shouldn’t have changed a thing.

I think Kelis is classless and an absolute embarrassment based on what I’ve seen. A woman full of bitterness and scorn. Last I saw she was calling Beyoncé a pawn of Satan for interpolating 6 seconds of “La La La la’s” on a song and not giving writing credits to her when she doesn’t even have rights over the song (crediting her as a performer despite this). It’s ludicrous.

Bey shouldn’t have changed a thing. People are never happy. At this point she won’t have an album left. She needs to stick by her artistic vision and ignore the PC crowd. This world has gone bloody mad.

I think she’ll end up with something similar to Drake, which isn’t bad by any means. But that doesn’t negate from the fact that her numbers could and should have been much higher with a proper rollout of the CD and vinyl. What I’m confused about is why the rollout of the CD’s, Vinyls, and boxsets seemed so centred to the US when the music on the album is a lot more UK friendly?

One has to seriously question the logic behind not making the vinyl widely available in UK stores. It’s all a little silly, really. Especially when vinyl’s are such a big thing right now, especially in the UK. Also, it seems like those pose boxsets do not count for the UK charts.

Disappointing for Bey really but not surprising at all since she didn’t even put the CD up for preorder on UK stores like Amazon and HMV until 10 days ago. You also can’t purchase the vinyl from anywhere but her website so that 13k is just solely CD sales and streaming. If the vinyl had was up for sale from places like Amazon and HMV, I suspect we’d be seeing something closer to 30k. M I don’t suppose it really matters what she debuts with in the long run as long as the album has longevity. But 13k is a little low for her standards. Then again, sales on the UK chart are utterly abysmal in recent times. Streaming has really destroyed the ability for artists to have huge debut numbers really.
  9. I’m seeing that it’s performing very well in the US based on projections. It’s also had a very small drop in the US on Spotify and she’s still dominating AM. The narrative being pushed by some that this is an underperformance doesn’t really stand up when you actually look at the statistics. BMS is also expected to go to #1 on BB100 next week, so she’ll be #1 on both BB100 and BB200 simultaneously, 25 years into her career. Like, let’s give credit where credit is due here. I’m not the biggest fan of Beyoncé but I still think what she’s doing is very impressive.
  10. It’s not bad and it’s exactly what I was expecting. I don’t know why some of you expected Bey to be dominating a platform like Spotify when she is a 40 year old black woman 25 years into her career. It doesn’t help that she has all but abandoned streaming for the past decade. It’s genuinely impressive that she’s still able to compete with the young artists of today in the way that she is doing. I also think this album is going to serve longevity based on the songs I’ve heard. Alien Superstar sounds great and I can definitely see that becoming a hit.
  11. I wouldn’t say these numbers are disappointing for Beyoncé. She’s a 40 year old woman 25 years into her career. I think they’re very impressive. Better than I was expecting, anyway. I think BMS can get to #2 on the charts this week which would be a nice peak.
  12. 1. Break My Soul 6. I’m That Girl 7. Cuff It (+2) 10. Alien Superstar (+1) 11. Cozy (-1) 16. Energy (+2) 18. Church Girl (+2) 23. Plastic on the Sofa (+4) 24. Virgo’s Groove (+4) 28. Summer Renaissance (+4) 30. Move (+1) 32. Heated (+2) 34. Thique (+4) 35. Pure|Honey (+5) 40. All Up In Your Mind (+9) 43. America Has a Problem (+7)
  13. I can see BMS going #1 next week.
  14. Break My Soul is only going to get bigger and could go to #1 on album release week. What an absolute banger! She hasn’t released the video yet either has she?
  15. Go is a beautiful song. Don’t really understand the hate for it on here!
  16. I’m the opposite. I wasn’t expecting her to be performing quite as well globally as she is. This is a woman 25 years into her career and I cannot name one of her peers from that era doing these numbers. She’s an anomaly in the way that Madonna is and was. This era is proving to me that Beyoncé is going to be around for as long as she wants to be. I think what’s most interesting about BMS is its stability and its potential. The video will only serve to elevate a song like this and I think it has the potential to go massively viral on tiktok. My instinct tells me it’s going to be a definite #1 in the UK in the coming weeks and has the potential to do the same thing in the US. I think the album going to #1 in the UK and US is already a given.
  17. I don’t even think many like the song. They just wanted to see Adele toppled, but it doesn’t make that much of a diffeeence at this point since she has the record for most weeks at #1 for a song by a British female.
  18. Ah okay, my apologies.
  19. As I suspected. Hate it when that happens but those are the rules and people will understandably exploit them.
  20. How is EOM #1 in sales, audio, and video but only #2? Has GAYLE got more than one version or something?
  21. I think abcdfu is a bloody awful song.
  22. BlackNBlue posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
My prediction: 1. Adele: Easy On Me 2. Lauren: Fingers Crossed 3. The Weeknd: Sacrifice 4. GAYLE: ABCDFU
  23. The fumes in here have really cheered me up after a long night shift. Thanks guys :michelle:

I’m confused why people think Adele’s label or anyone else’s label for that matter would not want the song to get more weeks at #1? She is literally one week away from breaking the record for longest #1 by a female. It would be very stupid to decline that opportunity
