Yes but banning audiences will obviously anger quite a few die hard fans as well as motivate people to watch the games together. There's so much risks involved of having that 1 asymptomatic superspreader. I'm glad both Belgium and The Netherlands have banned the leagues. It'll for sure squander any goodwill towards clubs if they insist on proceeding the competition The dutch football clubs have actually all got together and made pacts to support each other, the top 5 will go into europe and donate some of the proceeds, and the dutch government is very likely to to step in as well

I honestly I am so confused by countries allowing football games to continue. The most obvious cash above health example in my opinion. There are so many risks involved and it is such an unneeded addition to society in these times. Imagine closing bars, yet allowing football matches to go on (without viewers but still)

I am very much doubting the Iran numbers
  6. *Tim posted a post in a topic in News and Politics
I am living for these updates  Less than 100 new hospitalisations in The Netherlands as well Both Belgium and NL are starting to kick the regular healthcare kn higher gear as well

It's so confusing to me how every country in Western Europe has the ability to increase their testing drastically, while The Netherlands are still stuck with a shortage of fluid needed. We have the capacity for 29k a day, but are stuck on less than 10k

No, I am trying to have a civil discussion with you and trying to understand your posts. My opinion however doesn't fit your narative and thats why you "end" the discussion. I have not antagonised you in any way

Good for you, taking the moral highground and all. Anyway, I'm gonna have to pass a closed border in a days to get back to Belgium for my exams :cheeseblock:

This has to be one of the most ironic posts I have ever seen on my days on this website
  11. *Tim posted a post in a topic in News and Politics
There's no need for you to be this condescending and rude lmao Anyway people counting down the days is kinda extra anyway. If you just go with the flow and just keep up with the news when it arrives, this lockdown is a lot easier

Anyone else who would like to explain to a poor foreigner? I'm literally just trying to understand lmao
  13. *Tim posted a post in a topic in News and Politics
But how are they confusing to people, that was my main question haha
  14. *Tim posted a post in a topic in News and Politics
It ends when it is announced? Isn;t that how the government is working? (genuine question btw, as thats what The Netherlands does mostly. The announce a date until which the measures are in place for sure, but we all know they'll be extended anyway) This also mentions the roughly 30% infection rate tho? That was later revised as an error to the 26% I posted
  15. Confirmed another BOP from The Netherlands

Show us your sources then. (We're not even "going back and forth" we're literally having a discussion, which is the whole purpose of a forum)

Sweden has only 20k positive tests Their prediction is that 26% of inhabitants in stockholm will have been infected by may 1st. Far from herd immunity https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/28/europe/swede...intl/index.html

Over half of Swedens deaths are from stockholm county? Thats over 1000 deaths in a county with 2 million inhabitants
  19. I guess that RCA check didn't come through
  20. *Tim posted a post in a topic in News and Politics
In my humble opinion that is a very worrying stance on things 🤷‍♂️

Well to be honest. People are already stretching the borders of the lockdown. What do you think is gonna happen if you loosen them for 1 particular group? If ur a silent carrier you pose a danger to the people you visit, the people you come along in the streets and anypne they visit.

I literally have facetime parties with my friends. Grab the vodka hun, we're going out to our livingrooms drinking. I hate this lockdown as well. I am in an entirely different country from my friends as well. But I'm trying my best to make something out of it. Complaining will only make me feels worse about it so I just forget about it an started playing some videogames again as well. Sidenote: I've been in lockdown since the 13th of march. On my 8th week already :cheeseblock:

Spain has started testinf their resting houses deaths as well I think so a lot of these are backlog data. Looking at cases is kinda useless though as depends on how many tests one does. It is only usefull if you're actively testing a la South Korea or at the start of a new wave. Deaths, hospitalisations and ICU patients are a much better indication

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/uk/ And you're still very much above 750 a lot of the time. You seem to be platteauing now, which is good. The decline will be slower tho. First your ICU's need to empty a bit as well. I have no numbers for those so can't judge based on that

In other non-UK news, The Netherlands has only reported 65 new hospitalisations in the past 24 hours :cheeseblock:
