Join in a discussion and rate ABBA - Ring Ring in the retro part of forum. The shameful promotion : http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=176947 :)
  6. Why "Ring Ring" ? It's the most underrated, but my favourite ABBA album and there is not obvious winner. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/77/ABBA_-_Ring_Ring_(Original_Polar_LP).jpg Tracklist : 1. 2. 3. 4. People Need Love 5. I Saw It in the Mirror 6. 7. Love Isn't Easy (But It Sure Is Hard Enough) 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. Do we have any another fans of "Ring Ring" era on Buzzjack ? Discuss, rate the songs and open your mind for retro pop (if you didn't heard it before) :) Rules of rate : without -1 and 11, but you can give any mark from 0 to 10 with 0.5 step.

  8. Such sad news, firstly Anthony lost his lists and you now. That's why I always prefer a piece of paper. :)
  9. :yahoo: Good work, John. Still wait all your retro charts. Will you continue to post about personal # 1s of any decades ?
  10. My favourite UK # 1s from 70s decade : 1. Dana - All Kinds Of Everything (1970) 2. Blondie - Sunday Girl (1979) 3. New Seekers & Lyn Paul - You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me (1974) 4. ABBA - Knowing Me, Knowing You (1977) 5. New Seekers - I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony) (1972) 6. ABBA - Waterloo (1974) 7. Brotherhood Of Man - Figaro (1978) 8. Brotherhood Of Man - Angelo (1977) 9. Blondie - Heart Of Glass (1979) 10. Baccara - Yes Sir, I Can Boogie (1977)
  11. OK, this list will coming soon. Some years kills my mind and it's not easy to choose two songs for ABBA, Madonna and Sugababes. OK, I always can give a wild card for Heidi Range's solo material. :)
  12. It's eternal party for two. John, thanks for your opinion. There will be many pop classics from 60s, 70s and 80s, 90s is 50 / 50, from last years mostly I include low-known or flopped songs from the most my iconic modern singers / groups. Even add some non-singles, because I prefer them to all singles from those artists.

I'm not a fan early 90s (before Shampoo's invasion on the top of girl power), because I hate all those dance club hits. Sadly "Tears On My Pillow" (my favourite Kylie's song with a huge gap over anybody else) didn't reach # 1. Very cute "Dear Jessie" is lovely, my second favourite song from Madonna. John, push "Runaway Horses" for the unpredictable # 1 debut. :cheer:

  15. Firstly, I can do my final good-bye to Eurovision Song Contest and complete all-time top 100 ? Seems good for 60th anniversary of the contest. Second idea is the selection of 100 songs, which represent my vision on last 50 years of pop music (1964-2014). It's similar with all-time chart, but there will be some restrictions : no more 2 songs from any singer / group + no more 3 songs, but minimum 1 song from each year. Third idea is top 100 singles (or maybe top 150) of my favourite time period in music charts, when pure pop was everywhere. From late 1997, when Aqua released their first album to Christmas 2003 (Sugababes - Too Lost In You). I can do all three, only need to know the order (because every countdown need many free time) and the chart with the most followers will be the first. P.S. : Please, don't move this thread.

  18. Every participant post their retro charts (usually top 10/20) for chosen week. You can use your old chart (if you compile them many years ago) or do new chart. Most peoples used UK and US official chart, but there is not any restriction, you can include songs from any another charts and flopped singles, if you know a date / month of release. For top 20 : 1st place in a chart of any single poster get 20 points, 2nd place - 19 points... 20th place get 1 point. Combined chart is a summary of all individual charts. Haven : http://fatherandy2.proboards.com/thread/83...chart-1982-post UK Mix : http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=108140 http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=108139
  19. UKMix use top 10 from every person for week and they have 10, 20, 30...e.t.c. years ago charts every week. Haven use top 20 from every person for week and they have 1 new retro chart (current - 1983) every week.
  20. Is it here enough interest in combined Retrochart or it's pointless idea of mad retro pop fan ? UKMix forum have "Decades ago" series, Haven starts with 1982 year in 2014 and have 1 combined retro chart every week. What about us ? Will we have enough posters for these charts ? Which retro year / years will bring more peoples ?

Very different with my ranking. "The Winner Takes It All" is ultimate pop song, should be # 1 in every mainstream chart of ABBA songs.
