john's 1975 charts
John, I'm very happy to see "Toi" here. It's my favourite ESC song in 1975. One from the best French language entries in all history of the contest. My top 3 : 1. Geraldine - Toi (Luxembourg) 2. Sophie - Une Chanson C'est Une Lettre (Monaco) 3. Ellen Nikolaysen - Touch My Life (Norway) Irish singer won for Luxembourg. It was third their win after France Gall (1965) and Vicky Leandros (1967). Geraldine was fourth Irish woman, who won in Eurovision (after Dana, Sandie Jones, Maxi). Monaco got the highest position (2nd place) for the first time in history. Norway had the most successful decade and got a medal again (after 2nd place in 1971, 1972) and will be unpredictable winner in 1976 (yes, higher than real winner Brotherhood Of Man).

My personal retrospective charts
I can do similar charts for any retro year from 1949 to 2005. Maybe they will be very static and smaller (top 10 or top 20), but I can do it. It's only a question of free time, many my countdowns still wait. :( Most possible I will do any another year, but not soon.

My 1970 charts
Dana vs Mary Hopkin. Looks very familiar. The one from two epic Eurovision battles for win (another is France Gall vs Kathy Kirby in 1965). Dana won my ESC ranking for 1970, had more weeks at # 1 and it's my second favourite all-time UK # 1 (behind "The Land of Make Believe"), but both songs are WONDERFUL and were included in my all-time top 5 Eurovision songs. My favourite Mary Hopkin singles : 1. Mary Had A Baby (Best Christmas song ever !!!) 2. Knock Knock Who's There 3. Temma Harbour All 8 Mary Hopkin's singles were # 1 in my retro charts. Mighty pop beauty. :cheer: It's a record : Shampoo had 5 # 1s from 5 singles, H & Claire and allSTARS* had 4 # 1s from 4 singles.

My personal retrospective charts
John, do you heard or maybe even like something from Luv' ? Ladies didn't have any hits in UK, but were popular in the middle Europe. 10 from them are Dutch entries. In most my retro charts Netherlands will be a very strong contender for main favourite (United Kingdom). Their top 40 is the best source for low-known pop treasures. All songs are available on Youtube and I add all links. So people can listen something, if they want to do it. From unknown songs firstly I recommend "Taxi Mary", "Good News, Bad News", Tight Fit and maybe # 1 song.

My personal retrospective charts
Welcome in my retrospective thread for 1983 singles. For many peoples 1983 was the best year in all music history, especially for pop genre. Two my major music icons : Heidi Range and Lithuanian pop singer Natalija Zvonke-Bunke (YVA, Pop Ladies) were born in this year. My Top 30 chart is more alternative vision on the pop music scene of 1983, because the most worldwide hits are not represented in my chart. For completing retro weekly charts I used the singles charts from United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, United States, Finland and Eurovision Song Contest with pre-selections. Also I add some flopped singles from my favourite singers / groups of this era (maybe even missed something). P.S. : 1. It's my first attempt to do full retro charts and English is not my native language, so please don't judge me very strict. 2. The charts were / will be compiled in 2015, not in 1983. (I'm only 32 years old, so I couldn't have personal charts in 1983). 3. Unfortunately for me not all possible chart-breakers are available on Youtube, but it's only 5-10 % singles. 4. Albums tracks are not allowed, only official singles. 5. I try to update them as faster as I can, but it's not easy work. Are you ready for the most unpredictable charts, which you ever watched ? Let the show begin.... Coming soon.

Good Delta Hit Parade: End Of Year Charts 2014
If include British entries : Jessica Garlick with "Comeback" reached # 13 in 2002. If don't count British entries : Dutch "I See A Star" by Mouth and MacNeal in 1974, peaked at # 8. Before Sanna it was only one non-British third place at ESC in all history of the official UK chart.
