My Favourties from UK Singles Chart (Part II)
12.02.2000 : Britney Spears - Born To Make You Happy (2 weeks at # 1) Yy5cKX4jBkQ UK Top 40 chartrun : 1-2-4-6-9-15-24-30-36 (9 weeks) Third # 1 single for Britney Spears after "Baby One More Time" and "Sometimes" from her "Baby One More Time" era. The last single from album gorgeous ballad "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart" wasn't released in UK and she lost a very good chance to get additional # 1 single in this retrospective chart. "Born To Make You Happy" is a pop ballad in a style of early innocent Britney. Britney even had to ask change the original lyrics.

ThePensmith Reviews Every Girl Group Top 40 hit (2000 - now)
I don't like all major girl groups from this time period (Spice Girls, TLC, Destiny's Child, All Siants), but have a very warm feeling for low-known groups. Supersister, Girls @ Play, M2M, Vanilla, Alisha's Attic, Little Trees, Clea, Girls Can't Catch, 21st Century Girls, Loose Chippin's, Benefit, Thunderbugs ... Almost every group from this list had # 1 single in my chart. From major groups only three had # 1s in my chart (Sugababes, Girls Aloud and Saturdays).

Loose Chippin's
Somewhere in period 1999-2001 British girl group Loose Chippin's released three singles : I'll Be There For You JExPdGAr7z8 Girls Getting Naughty (possible it was their first single) svVbWXWpXaQ Inspiration BK29_q44qL0 Is it possible to find a correct dates of these releases ? Maybe anybody here have any teen music magazines from 1999-2001, for simple "Smash Hits" and can help me with any information. There is not any info about group in Wikipedia and Discogs too.

Alex's Favourite Madonna singles
From last singles I like "Masterpiece" and "Ghostown". From post-Evita albums I have only "American Life" in my collection. I know well all singles, but can forget any album tracks, because I listen them only once or twice.

My Favourties from UK Singles Chart (Part II)
Last # 1 from 1990s decade and the first # 1 from 2000s are the same. 26.12.1999 : Steps - Say You'll Be Mine (7 weeks at # 1) EDZoefLylcY UK Top 40 chartrun : 7-8-4-4-14-19-32-38-38 (9 weeks) My favourite single from all 90s decade and 9th consecutive # 1 single for Steps was released in Christmas week. Usually I have a very special warm feelings for personal Christmas / New Year # 1s and this year wasn't the exclusion. On this period of time "Say You'll Be Mine" obviously was their best release and the music video still the one from my all-time favourite videoclips. "Say You'll Be Mine" video include six little episodes from popular films with all possible boy-girl Steps combination. They are : H and Claire - Romeo + Juliet H and Faye - Austin Powers H and Lisa - Titanic Lee and Claire - There's Something About Mary Lee and Faye - Batman Returns (my favourite episode, Faye is the most sexiest Catwoman ever) Lee and Lisa - Armageddon

My Favourties from UK Singles Chart (Part II)
This thread is a sequel of my old famous "Alex's Favourites from UK Singles Chart" from Retro forum. After 70s, 80s, 90s I will post my retrospective # 1s from the fourth decade (2000-2009). After a bad start 1990s became amazing in the second half of decade, 1999 was a highlight and most possible my favourite year in all history of pop music. 2000s had a very good start, but since 2003 pure pop popularity decreased, downloads were included in UK singles chart from 2005 and every next year was worse, than previous. Also sometimes I will include the songs, which didn't reach # 1, but deserve to be mentioned as my favourite songs from this decade. All predictions are welcome, it will be very interesting to compare them with the results of my retrospective.
