  1. Sadly, there is no place for Pure Pop on the current music scene. :( Main reason : music piracy and illegal downloading, pure pop is the most vulnerable music genre, based on the age of genre fans .
  2. Sadly, most young forum members don't have any interest in retro rankings / discussions / music , it's always a nostalgia of older generations in a style "when we were young, the music was much better, than now" :) It's not easy to choose 80s album, which will bring many peoples to vote. As I said before, don't want to do Madonna or Kylie rate. All albums suggestions for the future rankings are allowed, exclude the artists with personal forums and the rates, which were done in Pop or Indie forums before.

  5. Here is my plans : Albums rate Current : 1980s : Bonnie Tyler - Faster Than The Speed of Night Future : Early 2000s : compilation of huge retro artist 1970s : classic pop album 1990s : album from my all-time favourite + Bucks Fizz singles rate in end of month. Also I want to do the rate of any Pet Shop Boys album from 80s or early 90s. Which album will be the best choice ?
  6. "I'm Never Giving Up" is my favourite ESC song of all 80s decade. Berit's song is a Finnish version of FR David hit "Words", this single from Barbara Dickson was a minor hit in Belgium and flopped in all another charts. 9. Michael, are you Irish or maybe you lived in Ireland ? I see some amazing Irish songs here : Dream Lover, Come Up To Dublin  (could be # 1 in my chart) and songs from Chips. My favourites from Eurovision 1982 : 1. Austria (Mess - Sonntag) 2. Germany (Nicole - A Little Peace) 3. United Kingdom (Bardo - One Step Further) 4. Ireland (Duskeys - Here Today, Gone Tomorrow) 5. Luxembourg (Svetlana - Cours Apres Le Temps) Very strong line-up again, Norway's song also was good. Maybe it's the most unpredictable # 1 in all my Eurovision rankings. My #1s from 1982 : ABBA - When All Is Said And Done ABBA - One Of Us ABBA - Head Over Heels Bucks Fizz - My Camera Never Lies Bardo - One Step Further Mess - Sonntag Tight Fit - Fantasy Island Dana - I Feel Love Comin' On Bucks Fizz - Now Those Days Are Gone Brotherhood Of Man - Lighting Flash Nicole - A Little Peace Nicole - Give Me More Time Mari Wilson - Just What I Always Wanted Tight Fit - I'm Undecided Bucks Fizz - If You Can't Stand The Heat ABBA - The Day Before You Came Renee and Renato - Save Your Love It was amazing year, almost every # 1 is a retro pop classic.
