  2. 117. Girls Aloud // Wake Me Up // February 2005 More GA awesomness now with their best song since Sound of the Underground (up until that point of course). Not really much to say here, I've already more than expressed my love for Girls Aloud and they are without a doubt in my Top 3 bands of the decade and Wake Me Up is just another example of how great they were lK7oOVp7BJE
  3. 118. The Kooks // She Moves In Her Own Way // July 2006 I've already talked about my love for the summer of 2006 and if there is one song that takes me right back to that amazing time in my life it is definitely this one. The Kooks never had much of a career outside of 2006 and in a way that's the way it had to be, for me that album will always be synonymous with that year pquhYpGHrlw
  4. 119. Good Charlotte // Girls and Boys // May 2003 I was a big Good Charlotte fan back in 2003, I thought liking them made me cool. Their stuff has not aged all that well and this is probably the only one of their songs that I would still choose to listen to 3FTS2tdmyYM

  6. 8. Marina & The Diamonds - Electra Heart I learnt many things in 2012: Don't trust 70's TV Icons, Korean people can dance and that 'The Diamonds' aren't a backing band just the name Marina gives to her fans. Electra Heart is her best work yet, and I was obsessed with The Family Jewels back in 2010, long may it continue! Gj5L9SYhoSE
  7. 9. The Killers - Battleborn Best group of the 00's are back and I couldn't be happier. Battleborn is no Sam's Town (my personal favourite of theirs) or Hot Fuss but it's a lot better than Day & Age which I didn't like all that much to be honest. Welcome back Brandon and co! :cheer: TMbyWSGYUgc
  8. 10. Taylor Swift - Red Definitely her best album to date and I've been with her since Fearless. I do appreciate she seems to have abandoned her country sound for a bit of mainstream pop but I don't care - it's one of the best albums of the year and has sent my Taylor looning off the scale, particularly I Knew You Were Trouble, 22, All Too Well and Begin Again. vNoKguSdy4Y
  9. 120. Taylor Swift // You Belong With Me // July 2009 I Knew You Were Trouble and the whole Red album have sent my Taylor looning into the stratosphere this year but back in 2009 it was a much more moderate affair between Taylor and I. I liked her clean and wholesome image, I was pleased her songs were stuff my little sisters could listen to without fear of them coming in and asking me what a stupid hoe was (thanks Nicki Minaj ). So yeah pretty big Taylot fan circa 2009 and this is her best song from that era, and one of my favourite music videos on this countdown too VuNIsY6JdUw
  10. 121. Jordin Sparks // Tattoo // June 2008 Occasionally in life the right song to define your feelings comes out at just the right time and Tattoo is one of those songs for me. Coming out at the end of Year 11 (though I still had two years of school left) the lyrics pretty much matched up our feelings of losing friends as we all began to take different paths in life. Call me sentimental or whatever but surely we all have a song like that? EspCzgXH0o0
  11. 122. Bowling For Soup // Girl All The Bad Guys Want // August 2002 If ever there was a song to define my life... Anyway, this along with Nickleback, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Linkin Park were my first real exposure to 'rock' music in 2002. Ten years on there's only How You Remind Me I listen to regularly (that's coming up soon) so it's very nice hearing this again as I do have quite a lot of memories attached to it VGRxmYXi4Io
  12. Your either being incredibly rude or I'm just not picking up on something here. Care to elaborate?
  13. Taylor Swift but no Marina, Pink or Kelly :(
  14. I never got the reasoning for that release. Don't get me wrong I love "Radar" but why release it after all the Circus singles?
  15. How can you not think When You Were Young is amazing :o I do agree about Human though worst single they've ever released, everything elses completely pisses all over it :puke2: and what makes it worst is the fact it's their best selling single as well. A similar issue arises with another artist who will appear on this thread very soon
  16. 15. Kelly Clarkson - Greatest Hits: Chapter One OK, maybe this is cheating a bit as it's a greatest hits album not a studio album but it's Kelly Clarkson and she's my favourite artist of all-time so I could hardly ignore this. Featuring some of my favourite all-time songs as well as two fantastic new ones (Catch My Breath and People Like Us) THIS has been none stop played for the past two weeks. I love Kelly HEValZuFYRU 14. Ben Howard - Every Kingdom This was my third favourite album of 2011 and the only one of those three to maintain a Top 20 position this year (Adele's at #21 weirdly enough and Ed's down in the 30's now), mainly because I've just never stopped listening to this gorgeous creation all year round OWlKZ6C7cDY 13. The Script - #3 The Script, despite their unpopularity on here, are my favourite band of this decade so far. #3 isn't a patch on their debut but I do think it's better than Science & Faith (which I did love). Hall of Fame's there with the worst song they've done but personally I think Six Degrees of Separation is up there with their best FCT6Mu-pOeE 12. Carly Rae Jepsen - Kiss I'm a sucker for a good old pop album and the minute I found Call Me Maybe I was looking forward to an album release from Carly and she certainly did not dissapoint with this offering. It's not the deepest album in the world and she's no Mariah or Whitney vocally but it's a damn good collection of pop songs and I've never been one not to indulge in that fWNaR-rxAic 11. Jake Bugg - Jake Bugg He might have come across as a bit arrogant post-Leona victory but he's definitely released one of the best albums of the year! Looking forward to the future for this boy, very real songs and he's very talented. The sky is the limit here as far as I'm concerned J9XwFecNXyU
  17. True. Didn't All of the Lights go Top 20 though? That deserved number one
  18. Kelly Clarkson - Catchy My Breath. Deserved so much better than a shitty #51 peak HEValZuFYRU All-Time Low - Timebomb. Maybe unpopular here or not, but I genuinally thought this was going to be a massive hit here xkgNsE9Uhzc Kelly Clarkson - People Like Us. Screaming out to be a single 0AV8lxGjdZ0 Carrie Underwood - Good Girl and Blown Away. Massive successes in the US, hoped they would have done something over here when she began to promote. But alas it was not meant to be 7-uothzTaaQ pJgoHgpsb9I
  19. Rachel Steven's whole Come and Get It album would have been massive in 2008/2009. One of my favourite albums of the 00's as well. Lisa-Scott Lee's material also might have stood a better chance than as well, particularly Too Far Gone and Lately Doesn't really matter because it was sucessfull but I can totally see Call Me Maybe fitting in around 1999/2000. Same with What Makes You Beautiful

    34 out of 60: 1 from the 50's 1 from the 60's 2 from the 70's 8 from the 80's 10 from the 90's 10 from the 00's 2 from the 10's Rather pleased
  21. 123. Girls Aloud // Untouchable // April 2009 HOW WAS THIS THE ONE TO MISS THE TOP 10???!!!! It's amazing and pisses all over The Promise, I'll Stand By You, Long Hot Summer and Love Machine! The UK public sometimes  Still this gave them a #2 hit on my charts. Gorgeous track rGkpoGZOzpo
  22. 124. Sugababes // Change // December 2007 3.0's best moment came with this in December 2007. I won't deny they still had some decent tunes left in them (About a Girl  ) but this was really the last time that they were truly brilliant Bok-c2-zZws
  23. 125. Destiny's Child // Lose My Breath // November 2004 It's gonna be girlband central today, just to warn you ^_^ DC were never my favourite girlband but they did some good songs and this one is my second favourite that they ever did AqeIiF0DlTg
  24. God, Cliff is awful. I can't think of one of his songs I actually like
  25. Albums: 20-16 20. Christina Aguilera - Lotus Poor Xtina, she just can't seem to catch a break these days (Moves Like Jagger wasn't exactly all about her what is it?), and whilst I can see some reasons why she would flop (lack of promotion, bad attitude exct...) but I really didn't think it would do as badly as it did. Oh well, she can at least salvage something as this is a good album filled with some great tracks which, in my opinion, demonstrate why we love Xtina so much (or did once upon a time). 6cfCgLgiFDM 19. Leona Lewis - Glassheart Another artist who has sadly fallen from grace this year (though to a much lesser extent) is Leona Lewis. I've never cared all that much for Leona; I think she's an amazing singer and she's done some OK songs so why did I buy this album and end up loving it? Truth is, I didn't it was bought for me as a joke by my Uni room mates but I actually found myself really enjoying this album. I can't compare it to "Spirit" or "Echo" as I haven't bought either and only heard the singles from them but this has been a real find for me D5U6CaNlyEQ 18. Lawson - Chapman Square No can say I never appreciate the under dog. In a world where One Direction have taken over the world, and where The Wanted and JLS continue to perform strongly this talented bunch seem to have been some what ignored. A shame, the first three singles from this impressed me so I happily bought this when it came out and do not regret a second GmQRAXJoHg0 17. Gotye - Making Mirrors Chart wise he may not have proved it but there is certainly more to Gotye than "Somebody That I Used to Know" (though admittedly it is my favourite song on the album ). Other favourites include In Your Light and Easy Way Out, sad he'll be remembered as a one hit wonder as their are plenty more potential hits on here 8UVNT4wvIGY 16. Green Day - !Dos! As a mega Green Day loon I was so excited to hear they were putting out three albums in quick succession; though admittedly now all three have been released I feel empty again but I can't complain too much. Three albums in three months would make you think there'd be a lot of filler but as far as I'm concerned the trilogy has been their best work since American Idiot gfoZP26V5y0
