iTunes Weekly Thread: W/C 25th November 2012
Glad Kelly has climbed into the Top 40. Does she have a strong chance of charting Top 40 officially? I would count that as a success now, honestly thought this would have done Top 20 at least she should have done X Factor Heard "People Like Us" for the first time today as well, really like it and to be honest should've been released over Catch My Breath (not that that isn't amazing either)

My Top 200 songs of 2000-2009
142. Lindsay Lohan // Over // March 2005 I'm really not coming of well today am I? I would however argue that Over would be a lot more well regarded had it not been Lohan singing it. Let's just pretend this is a Kelly Clarkson song and move on Kjrch1VFd8I

143. Kevin Lyttle // Turn Me On // October 2003 I'm not even sorry I still love this ^_^ Me and my friends, just started high school at this point bare in mind, all danced to this in our school's "Rock Mime" (Christmas concert) that year. Luckily, I'm actually a good dancer so managed to escape from that relatively unharmed as I did a backflip; my friends never lived it down though 4apHuWytLko

144. DJ Sammy // Heaven // November 2002 Yeah, I've since discovered the Bryan Adams original but when I was 10 this was my absolute tune! I can see it for what it is now (a bit shit) but I generally did adore this song this time ten years ago and I have some very nice memories attached to it RhifPQ55Z7Q

Really want to see Catch my Breath do well! Wasn't keen on it at first but I love it now

Like Alicia Keys and Rihanna, they're success seems to have grown ten fold since the beggining of this decade. Before 2011, they were on their way out and only had one sucessfull albums and about three decently sucessfull singles (This Love, She Will Be Loved and Makes Me Wonder) that hadn't sold all too well as they were released in the dire music sales period of 2003-2007. Now look at them; a million selling single, two sucessfull follow ups, got their first number one single and they've released their second best selling album. I just don't get it

These big name artists flopping is quite strange On one hand massive "00's acts" like Britney, Christina, Madonna, Avril, Nelly Furtardo, Mariah Carey and Girls Aloud haven't done too well in the 2010's, then on the other hand acts like Eminem, Pink, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson and Usher have had some of the biggest hits of their careers. Seems weird to me that half the acts who dominated the 00s have flopped whereas the other half have maintained success or become bigger than ever

Gezza's Review Of Every No 2 Hit 2005-09
I do like Unfaithul a lot now, wasn't too keen on it back in summer 06 whereas strangely it's kind of the opposite with Aint No Other Man which I liked at the time but quite dislike now

Gangnam Style most viewed video ever...
IMO Baby is a much better song than Gangam Style

Gezza's Review Of Every No 2 Hit 2005-09
Summer of 2006  Infernal, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Lily Allen, The Killers, Nelly Furtardo, The Kooks, Shakira, The Feeling, Cascada, Snow Patrol, Cassie, Pussycat Dolls all released songs/albums that have amazing memories attatched to them . I always say 2004 is my favourite music year of the 00s but thinking about it now 2006 really wins it

My Top 200 songs of 2000-2009
145. Sugababes // Stronger // November 2002 The Sugababes were so awesome once upon a time! Second best girlband of the 00's for sure ( ^_^ ) after Girls Aloud. This was also the first track of theirs which I really enjoyed and made me sit up and take notice SQ7iZ-cxyA0

146. Plain White T's // So Damn Clever // November 2007 I liked "Hey There Delilah" but I didn't love it however it did spur me on to by their album which became one of my favourites of this year, this being the standout track from it and it pretty much soundtracked my life for the next year 8d7yZQkuMt8

147. La Roux // Bulletproof // July 2009 Unpopular opinion maybe but I absolutely despised "In for the Kill" which, IMO, is very painful to listen with Jackson's shrill high vocals throughout. Bulletproof is a much better offering and granted them their first, and let's be honest, only UK #1 (#3 on my chart) Kk8eJh4i8Lo

Odd that out of those reviews U2, Mary J Blige and Red Hot Chilli Peppers are the more critically accepted acts yet Rihanna & Shayne's songs Pi** all over theirs

Nice to see that beautiful cover of Power of Love so high thanks to Hollyoaks/I'm a Celeb. It's use in that Hollyoaks scene was great; haven't watched that show for a few years but tuned into it again this week and WOW. I wasn't connected at all emotionally to the lad that died in the end but even I felt a little teary and Power of Love made that scene

My Top 200 songs of 2000-2009
148. Keane // Everybody's Changing // June 2004 Not quite sure why everyone seemed to like Keane so much but Everybody's Changing is definitely their standout record in my eyes. Zx4Hjq6KwO0

My Top 200 songs of 2000-2009
149. Lady Gaga // Bad Romance // November 2009 First of two entries for Gaga now, this song is also the most 'recent' to appear in the Top 200 giving you an indication of how into it I was at the time. Though she has another entry a lot higher that's down to that particular song being out a lot earlier, Bad Romance is Gaga's finest record by far a shame really it came on so early in her career because as far as I am concerned she will NEVER top this. It's epic and currently sits in my Top 20 of this decade so far as well qrO4YZeyl0I

Artists you can't believe never had a number one
Together Again peaked no higher than #4 but had an insane Top 20 run and sold about 750k

That's when I went off them. I liked Jumping but it wasn't all that great and that dreary ballad was terrible
