My Top 200 songs of 2000-2009
61. S Club 7 // Love Aint Gonna Wait For You // May 2003 Peak: #2 Weeks on Chart: 29 Points: 709 There are certain songs in our lives that we define as turning points and odd as it may seem Love Aint Gonna Wait For You is one of mine. I can see why it may be surprising as S Club 7 were hardly profound artists but as I spoke about with "Reach" they were my childhood and them splitting up was a big deal for us. I was 11 years old and nearly about to leave primary school and the band that defined my childhood were splitting, it just seemed as if it signified the end of something. Plus, the title Love Aint Gonna Wait For You actually turned into some kind of advice for me as the years went on Ad5JtomG-ts

62. Madonna // Hung Up // November 2005 Peak: #1 Weeks on Chart: 25 Points: 707 If I was to describe my musical relationship with old Madge it would be that of your relationship with distant relatives when you see them at some family event - you're not particular bothered with their life but you'll sit down and listen anyway because at the end of the day they're family which is kind of my reaction every time Madonna released a new track. The reason for this is because I was raised on Madonna by my mother and as a result a lot of her music has some childhood nostalgia feel to it which I enjoy but that doesn't mean I really like them. She's not terrible and I listen to Into The Groove, Like a Prayer, Frozen, Sorry and 4 Minutes out of personal choice and, of course, Hung Up which is my second favourite ever Madonna record after aforementioned Frozen. It was quiet weird at the time as everyone at school was so into Hung Up and it just seemed strange to me that the most popular song in the country, or my school playground at least, was by Madonna of all people. Then again, Hung Up is pretty undeniable and her only entry in this Top 200 EDwb9jOVRtU

63. Leanne Rimes // Can't Fight the Moonlight // November 2000 Peak: #1 Weeks on Chart: 22 Points: 706 Another childhood classic of mine from late 2000  One of the few songs on this chart I still listen to at least once a week, CFTM is a defining track of my childhood and from what I've gathered over the year when this has popped on the radio, TV, in a pub or on karaoke most people born between say 1990 and 1995 feel the same way about this track. Unlike the previous track which I eventually found annoying because of overplayed that fate has yet to happen to this track and I doubt it ever will F_RXq7T9p6s

64. Kylie Minogue // Can't Get You Out of My Head // September 2001 Peak: #1 Weeks on Chart: 26 Points: 700 Speaking of Kylie, here she is with my second favourite song of 2001. CGYOOMH is now a definite pop classic and Kylie's biggest ever song but it has grown slightly irritating over the years down to overplayed but it's still a monster of a song and does sound amazing in the right environments c18441Eh_WE

65. Christina Aguilera // Fighter // May 2003 Peak: #1 Weeks on Chart: 23 Points: 683 Christina's most fierce and bad ass moment came in 2003 with the fantastic "Fighter" from her best album Stripped. This was really the track that made me into the Aguilera loon I was between 2003 and 2008, it's her second highest song on this countdown and better than anything Britney, Madonna and Kylie did that year PstrAfoMKlc

Gezza's Review Of Every No 2 Hit 2005-09
Just had a sneaky look at the remaining number 2's of 2007 - I like them all!
-
Bridgit Mendler - Ready Or Not
Hoping this does as well as Selena's "Hit The Lights" should have done

'What About Us' (2nd Single Discussion Thread)
I've passed hoping for a number one single at this point, as long as it goes top ten I'll be satisfied

'What About Us' (2nd Single Discussion Thread)
My favourite video is Just Can't Get Enough albiet for VERY shallow reasons

Gezza's Review Of Every No 2 Hit 2005-09
Your Love Alone is brilliant, probably in the top 3 #2's of 2007

Bridgit Mendler - Ready Or Not
Disney star + Fugees sample = good song? Who'd have thought it I already love it!

Saturdays iTunes Watch
I had a suspicion Higher was going to do this, I recall there were a lot of new American fans complaining that Higher wasn't on Itunes a few weeks ago

Sorry no Sundown I'm afraid, it just missed out (#209 or something like that I recall) as did Don't Tell Me You're Sorry and Automatic High.

66. S Club 8 // Fool No More // July 2003 Peak: #1 Weeks on Chart: 21 Points: 675 Sorry but I bloody love this. I've already spoken about my rather embarrassing love for this lot but I'll say it again - pretty decent pop tunes and Fool No More is the best thing that this lot ever did in my opinion. You may question it being so here but I was all over this at the time - didn't do wonders for my street cred mind.... PQWHwKhqZPI

67. Justin Timberlake // Like I Love You // November 2002 Peak: #1 Weeks on Chart: 23 Points: 670 JT goes solo (and gets sexy) for the first time now, I'd been a big NSYNC fan and it was always obvious that Justin stood out from the others although I still argue that JC was just as talented. So naturally I was very interested in his solo album but didn't keep me hopes too high, Abs was my favourite from Five and his solo stuff sucked, so I was pleasantly surprised by Like I Love You and the whole Justified album which was my number one album of 2003 FQ3slUz7Jo8

68. Bowling For Soup // Girl All The Bad Guys Want // July 2002 Peak: #2 Weeks on Chart: 20 Points: 665 Stuck at #2 for 4 weeks behind Gareth Gates (#102), S Club Juniors (#88) and Kylie Minogue (still to come) BFS show that they won the war against two of those records, mainly because I still listen to this so often so it seems as if I like it more than those two. Girl All The Bad Guys Want is kind of a pioneering song in terms of my chart as it really was the song that began my love affair with punk pop oh and because we can all sorta relate to the subject matter of this song VGRxmYXi4Io

69. Basement Jaxx // Romeo // June 2001 Peak: #1 Weeks on Chart: 24 Points: 662 A song from my least favourite year of music in the decade, this is the third highest entry from 2001 and the other two are coming up soon, however make no mistake I do bloody adore Romeo and consider it to be the best thing Basement Jaxx ever did. Also, one of my favourite music videos appearing in the Top 100 as well LU4Y3A3oJRM

Woop! Go Olly, hopefully Troublemaker will do quite well- Aaron Espe
A great but little known American musician (Just 620 followers on Twitter) who really should be a lot more famous as his work is amazing. If you like Ben Howard, Mumford & Sons or Fleetfoxes you'll like this guy, here are some of my favourites Through Frozen Forest: bnrBsfX90TQ Faith & Doubt wzx3pt2s1Ac Hanging By a Thread AHTrch78sig - US Billboard Hot 100 - 02/02/2013
