Premier League / Football League Thread 12/13
I don't like how Blackburn treated Appleton (another Salford lad!), so wouldn't mind them never getting back to the Premiership again. I hope Cardiff get up, would be strange seeing an all-Welsh Prem game though! And then I expect Hull to win promotion.

I'd laugh if both Wolves and Blackburn got relegated after being in the Prem last season.

RvP is showing his Arsenal end of season form since about February.. but last season he finished on 37, I'd be hard pushed to predict he'll score over about 26 (3 more this season).

#4 Paul Banks - Opinions?
http://i48.tinypic.com/2yybna1.jpg http://global.ralphlauren.com/Holiday2012/Magazine/PaulBanks/Paul-Banks_02.jpg Without doubt one of my all-time musical heroes. Paul hasn't let the pressure of being the front-man of Interpol get the better of him when it comes to his solo stuff (Julian Plenti & simply Paul Banks). Though unappreciated by most hardcore 'Pol fans, Paul has stayed true to his musical style & in my opinion produced two excellent albums, which could arguably rival much of the latter Interpol album releases. In January I caught one of his live solo shows in Manchester, in the very intimate Sound Control venue - With a very strong setlist, Paul looked to be really enjoying himself, which didn't seem to be the case in some of the latter Interpol appearances with the bands' makeshift bass players (& their many blunders). If you get the chance to see one of his solo shows live, I'd highly recommend it. If anyone else has seen him live (or Interpol for that matter), please, share your stories? va2fqBjwBGg x-JNg-eCe7c

Amelia Lily - Be A Fighter
When Amelia was about 6, I was at the same hotel as her (with my parents) in Mallorca and she was with her brother Lewis (one off that Joseph show). And during the Karaoke night, those two turned it into a Chicago cabaret night basically.. I recall their mother being really pushy and she used to pack costumes for them to do this sort of stuff on their holidays. That being said, can't stand her music/voice.

#3 Windmills - Opinions?
http://i48.tinypic.com/2yybna1.jpg kSheEQR7NoY Incredible Canadian loop-artist who I've had the pleasure of exchanging emails with. Thoroughly deserves all the success he gets in the future. Some of his live performances channel Jeff Buckley, in my opinion. I really hope someone on here enjoys his stuff! mnF74CXwOXM

Hurts 'Exile' · 11 March 2013
Terrible album. Such a fall from grace for the lads of HURTS. Remember seeing them in 2010 at one of their first ever live shows, never thought they'd have released such a bland album.

Did you ever hear Grow? I think it could be a hit if they ever released it, perhaps they're waiting nearer the album release. kUyw3DTf2Mg

#2 Swiss Lips - Opinions?
http://i48.tinypic.com/2yybna1.jpg http://amazingradio.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/swiss-lips.php_.jpg Swiss Lips Manchester 5-piece-band, been a fan of theirs for a few years now and could only find a thread about 'Danz' on here so thought I'd make a new thread as they're on the cusp of releasing their debut album (I hope). New single 'U Got The Power', although it's been 'out' online for over a year now. f_Zk02FOvMU 6mwkk2A4vhI Not been this excited for an album since Years of Refusal, probably. I'd place them above Everything Everything & The 1975 in terms of emerging new Manchester bands, if you can describe them as new. All fans of SL welcome!

Saw them in Bristol on Wednesday night. Still think The Weight of Living is their best song, by some distance.
