  1. well at least Doctor Who got something (and what a true MOMENT *.*) - although it didn't really deserve anything else, although recognition for Jodie would have been fab

Inside No 9 finally getting some sort of recognition though wooo! Glad Kiri got something to, a really great drama from Channel 4.

Keeley Haws slaying with two actress noms! Also Killing Eve slaying! Good to see that double lead actor recognition!

Billie Piper getting a nod too  completely forgot about Collateral and it wasn't as spectacular as I hoped but Billie needs to be put back at the forefront of our TV screens.

Can't believe Would I Lie to You is still getting noms, nothing against it but it feels it's on every single week!!

Also shoutouts to the hilarious Derry Girls and to Black Mirror toooo! Interested to see how that will go down. One of the weaker Black Mirrors in terms of story but the effort, creativity and seamless storytelling was epic.

Piers Morgan's head will explode with those two noms....

  3. Sir :puke: Christopher Chope is the one who blocks the upskirting/FGM bills passing without debate as he opposes the process but suddenly he holds no opposition when its his friends doing it

I hate to tell you this, but only a very small proportion of voters actually took any notice of the campaign, other than the bits we were beaten over the head with ; the £350m NHS, Farage's infamous poster, and the Jo Cox murder.

    Ohhh now whose generalising

  4. How low does the proportion have to go before opponents can be 'ignored'.

Seriously though, there must be a line drawn somewhere to ensure the losing side do not get *more* consideration than the winning side.

so you think Remain voters should be ignored?

Look at the Wales devolution referendum - that was a similar situation where it was a near 50/50 split, in favour of devolution. However, whilst they were given a government with devolution powers - these were very limited when compared to Scotland (where the referendum was heavily in favour of devolution). This shows the Govenrment acted on the referendum result but, given the close result, responded to those who did not want a devolved government by providing limited powers.

Considering Brexit has even larger implications, the Government should not have reacted in a way that only listens to 52%. A soft Brexit means acting upon the referendums result but in a way that respects how close the result was, in a very similar way to the Wales devolution referendum.

  5. The petition’s purpose is to highlight that the will of the people does not mean everyone wants i) to leave ii) a hard Brexit as has been continuously pushed by this Government. The Government are acting on a mandate of 52% and not considering the opinions of the 48%, a strongly significant proportion - it was not a landslide as has been pushed by the Government/Leave voters. A balance should have been better striked to work towards a softer Brexit (along the lines of Norway+) or a people’s vote
  6. A power shift *.*..... just not the right one :(

I hate how you always get an all-male alliance who always feel disgusted the second even the idea of an all-girls alliance is even mentioned. Every single time.

I'm also not liking how more houseguests seem to be doing the talking to the camera after Paris' annoying camera campaigns last year. I am enjoying it a lot more than last year though, there are a few still stuck in the background but it can maybe make it interesting for the later weeks, you need characters to slowly come out over the course of the season.

  7. Gaga doesn’t need him in my opinion.

It’s funny how he’s praising her now all of a sudden just after shes had her biggest single and album since 2011.

“Calvin Harris, who told BBC Breakfast that he received album cuts, rather than any of Gaga’s most famous songs, replied: “Jeez you turn down one remix in 2008 and next thing the whole world’s on your back.” He clarified: “no your label emailed me. I always make sure I say I'm a fan when asked about it, I apologise if I offended u, wasn't the intention.”” - 2012

  8. I don't *have* to, but I choose to. I thought this was a discussion forum?

Don't I have the right to say that tackling knife crime is more important than issues of political correctness?

Maliciously misgendering someone (not saying the case here as I know nothing about it) and having nothing in place to stop this, can lead to the normalisation of society against transgnder people and put them at more risk of violent hate crime - which of course includes knife crime. Therefore, one can lead into the other? It’s about prevention and cutting it off from the start.

I don’t think that because one can trump another in terms of importance means that the other shouldn’t at least be looked at - it doesn’t mean charges have to be brought and I don’t think anyone will be getting a prison sentence for misgendering someone? You have to look at the wider issues and what can stem from it though.

What do you think about using police resources to ‘arrest’ a 104 woman because it was on her bucket list?

  9. can’t comment on Orange Trees yet but maybe it’s because all Marina’s previous songs haven’t really been about being in love? We love dark/emo Marina (which sounds bad considering her interviews for this era) so let’s see what Fear bring s us...
  10. This was a fun watch! I've seen people see a lot of depths and hidden meanings to the show which seem cool to read about but, watching, most of them went over my head.

It really is Natasha Lyonne's show, she steals every scene, as in OITNB, and I love it. I'm glad though that they introduced the other guy at the time the whole repetitive day element started to sag - it really did boost it and certainly created a further interesting dynamic.

I did love the final episode in particular as we have the split scenes - it works so well.
