  1. omg she’s really found her groove, so pleased she’s decided to continue with developing the What’s Your Pleasure sound/style
  2. But it doesn’t mean anything? It doesn’t help to generate either any notable sales, streams or money for the label and having the fake presence in the album charts doesn’t help anything for future releases, as seen with Mabel
  3. Omg I love this!!! So addictive

I’ve not watched last night’s episode yet but from following the hashtag, it seems Big Brother US is back to its normal, perhaps even worse, self and the Cookout was (1) very much needed and (2) very much a one-off.

  7. I didn’t really warm to the whole Freighter storyline, maybe I do need to rewatch to appreciate it more but it was one of the worst parts of the series for me and so I never really gelled with the characters either.
  8. Exposé was actually the first episode I ever saw of the show as I only caught it when my dad was watching it. I remember thinking it was a really dark way for the two characters to exit, and I thought they were two major characters. Then a few years later when I was actually watching the full series and I came to Exposé and I realised it was for the two duds, it really lessened the impact  #poorbraveNikki&Paulo
  9. Yes!! The characterisation is perfect, they all have such interesting arcs (aside from poor brave Nikki & Paulo) and the flashbacks are so essential in seeing how life on the island has changed them.
  10. Predicting poor brave Nikki & Paulo to be last

I found it quite dull overall :( I don’t find the US series as good, maybe it’s because it’s too short. Despite it’s length, the blockings feel really spread out as well. I was shocked when they said that Imani and Eversen were the last players, it felt like the series had barely begun. Although I guess at the same time, it felt like they were barely in there and they made zero impact. I think it lacked diversity in age range too this time. Give me an older mum/dad whose actually playing herself for once. Yu Ling, Rachel, ‘Nathan’ and Alyssa were my faves - although I did hate how they reacted when ‘Nathan’ revealed himself, felt so toxic and v high school.

I think part of that is Emma saving face because I don’t even see her as the frontrunner if it was confirmed to return. I can’t see past Rylan hosting but, even if it wasn’t him, they’d go for Davina or a new face. Emma oddly doesn’t feel like the face of the show. She didn’t seem to enjoy most of the series she presented
  19. I like it but I’m a big fan of the Funk Wav ~vibes~ I don’t think it reaches the same highs as the singles from Vol 1 but certainly a nice addition and I’m excited for the rest of the era

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2022/may/...-cruel-comments This is an interesting and honest interview, addressing how she half checked out of the last era, her concerns about this era underperforming and her overall relationship with the current state of the music industry and anxiety.
  21. I can definitely see TOTP re-runs move to BBC Two. I don’t know the ratings but it seems one of the most popular shows on the channel. Tbh I think most of what BBC Four does now will be what BBC Two does in the future. I think they’ll be less original commissions for BBC Two, a lot of their original content has already moved to BBC One and it seems an easier cost saving measure. CBBC is the least cost effective channel in terms of proportion of spending to viewership so it again seems an easy cut to make but I think it removes a vital service that the BBC provides, particularly in terms of education. This is what happens when certain decisions are taken, some of the more vital and important public services are taken away as they’re not as commercially sustainable in the context of having to make so many cuts. It does seem very awkward in the context of BBC Three returning a few months ago, especially with the dire viewing figures. I wonder if there might be some reversal of decisions along the way, with one of the proposed axed services being saved after public outcry in favour of the axing again of BBC Three. Remember that in the last wave of big cuts, it was 6Music and Asian Network that were going to be axed but both were ultimately saved with 6Music growing and growing and growing.
  22. I think this might be my favourite from them so far!
