I want a tell-all interview about how much the one side short, one side long hairstyle annoyed her.

Yeah, the only ones that she released herself. It seems that there’s others floating around from the era though!

I’ve got the previous vinyl that was releases which contains ‘Radioactive’ and ‘Sex Yeah’ but doesn’t have ‘Living Dead’, ‘Lonely Hearts Club’, ‘E.V.O.L.’ and ‘Electra Heart’. I won’t be getting this because it’s feels so expensive just for four tracks that aren’t huge faves of mine anyway. Great to see her celebrate the era’s anniversary though and properly release ‘E.V.O.L.’ and ‘Electra Heart’ even if ‘Just Desserts’ was my fave of the extra tracks! It’s onsale at HMV and Rough Trade from what I can see (although for £45!!) so it seems its getting a general release!

Big Finish have announced they’re producing audio drama series for the Fugitive Doctor and the Sacha’s Master!! They’ll be the first Big Finish series starring characters from the 13th Doctor era (they’ve produced like thousands of stuff from 1st-12th Doctor, including with Christopher Eccleston & David Tennant) which is exciting. They’re my two favourite characters from this era with SO much that can be explored (particular with Jo’s Doctor) so I’m really hyped for this!!! (even if my bank balance may not be x) I think it also kinda confirms RTD’s new era will be quite a fresh reboot from this era, if they’re allowing Big Finish to explore the continuity instead.

I can see them try and get some of the names from the past couple of years to give them the proper I’m a Celeb experience. Mixed feelings about this though, all-star series often ends up falling a bit flat for me as it can try and artificially recapture what made the person an ‘all-star’ in the first place but doesn’t work without the same dynamics. It does seem odd to film it so far in advance, although I understand it may be used as a contingency for the main series in the event they’re unable to go to Australia. I’ll bet everything I have that Joe Swash appears :lol: omg we’ll get Paul Burrell as well won’t we :cry: :cry:

The pre-chorus remains by far the best thing about Green Green Grass (Blue Blue Sky). I can’t get past it sounding designed for kids/wedding parties.

Free is INCREDIBLE! Adore it so much already, and the whole meaning behind the song :heart: This album is gonna be competing for the title of her best record which is no mean feat!!

Hunger ‘hung’ around the Top 100 for a few weeks as well, annoyingly peaking at #41 twice. It does show that she can still be a singles artist but most ‘indie’ artists don’t get enough mainstream support for that to happen. Hopefully My Love gets a chance at Top 40 upon album release.

Tegan is one of my favourite classic companions, and definitely my favourite of the 80s ones, with Ace probably a close second so I'm thrilled to see them both back. Certainly not something I'd have ever expected. Slight continuity error though is that Sophie Aldred wrote a book where modern day Ace meets Thirteen, Yaz, Graham and Ryan whereas the trailer states Ace hasn't seen the Doctor for over 30 years. I know the only real 'canon' is the main show but slightly awkward given that it's one of the few Thirteenth Doctor books out there. Vinder has also been confirmed to return in the publicity photos so that's The Doctor, Yaz, Dan, The Master, Tegan, Ace, Kate Stewart, Vinder, the Daleks, Ashad/the Cybermen already confirmed and there was that tease of the Fugitive Doctor returning in the Flux behind the scenes videos. We at least need to get some form of wrap up of the Timeless Child storyline (which I'm more positive we get since it's the Master's first episode since the exposition ep), say goodbye to the Doctor as well as exit storylines for Yaz and Dan. I'm hyped but I can only see it being as messy as Flux was :lol:

It was an underwhelming episode and, at the heart, a VERY bog standard plot i.e. monster turns up and the Doctor stops them. There really wasn’t much more added to it. For the most part though, it looked visually stunning and I particularly liked the TARDIS on the seabed! Costume and sea devil designs also were incredible. The dialogue was drowned out in some parts though by the music. Although I’m not really a Thasmin supporter, I think those scenes ended up being among the highlights of the episode as they were really well acted by both Jode and Mandip and just added something different to such a straightforward story. My only critique is that Yaz is the most special person to her, but I’m gonna take that as the most special person to Thirteen, rather than The Doctor as a whole because the writing of Yaz really doesn’t live up to that x Also not the Doctor criticising them for killing the Sea Devil and then minutes later Dan kills a load in one swoop oops! Also yet another person she lets sacrifice themselves instead of her :lol: Overall, always a nice bonus to have more Who but ultimately very average. Not awful, but nothing special.

If a deal is agreed, I just hope that they don’t go for the Love Island/MTV casting. The show thrives on a mixture of personalities, backgrounds etc. Surely that’s also the best way to protect both shows as well? Sounds positive though, and the only real available home other than it returning back to Channel 4. I had hoped for a Channel 4 return but I think that had shattered after the recent news.

Series 2 starts 10:40pm on 26 April on BBC One. I was surprised it was renewed for a second series as ratings for the first were quite bad and I guess that’s why it’s got an awful timeslot… but if they’re going to dump it there, surely it’s better to place it on BBC Three to draw crowds back there? At least it would show more purpose for bringing the channel back.

End of a daytime TV gameshow era as Richard Osman steps down from Pointless (aside from the Celebrity editions) to focus on writing. He’ll be replaced by a series of guest hosts. I’m not surprised at this given how massive his books have become and I was wondering how he managed to fit it all in alongside House of Games and other projects!

I’m excited to actually watch this as it goes out for the first time! My understanding is that the casting for this season features more non-US players too which could be interesting.

The first half of that preview sounds incredible but I was underwhelmed by the chorus which feels a bit kids/wedding party. Sounds like it could be a smash though.

The ironic thing is you can’t get TV that is anymore British than Channel 4, for better or worse! It’s the most representative of all areas of the country and the exact thing that the Gov should be promoting rather than allowing it to be watered down.

@1511038014037938178 This would be an awful outcome if so. Channel 4’s not for profit setup has allowed it to take the lead in diverse programming and to take risks that other mainstream broadcasters may not be able to. I mean it takes that in some interesting directions sometimes but, as a whole, the channel regularly punches above its weight.

I wasn’t too fussed about Tynesha leaving other than Summer & Betty losing an ally. I’m not fussed about Jess leaving either but out of the three left, I’d have much rather it was between Gino and Jacey-Lynne with JL leaving. She doesn’t bring anything to the table at all. Keen to see Marty leave as soon as possible, his targets all seem to share a common denominator ~~ Jury starting next week means an 8 person jury unless there’s another double? If not, I guess Canada gets to have a vote? They haven’t done it since they first announced it :lol: Surely there’s more to come with the doors, and it wasn’t just for a HOH comp and Kevin to win £500.
