Not me watching three of those series, why do I always stick with the flops! tbf I did actually enjoy The Living and the Dead and, to a lesser extent Requiem. Sometimes horror just doesn’t stick sadly. Requiem also just needed to be 2 episodes shorter and have a better defined plot. Rellik was just...not good.
Wanderlust is only a suprising flop because of it’s cast. I’m suprised the premise is getting primetime treatment but stars like Toni Collette and Sophie Okendo should be helping to keep the show afloat.

I find it interesting that Cian and Sian are probably the ones with the least screen time so far. Cian I felt was a favourite on the first night and of course Sian WAS picked as the favourite on first impressions.
Of course though, being under the radar at this point is often beneficial for the long term game!

Haleigh wasn't a terrible player but she wasn't particularly good either. FOUTTE failed because they always looked inwards at themselves and never at the other side of the house, they never actually discussed things between them properly. Any good player would get their alliance to actually realise the problems didn't lie with themselves. She also completely messed up the hacker comp which was the major start of the complete FOUTTE mess and she then failed to convince Fessy NOT to put up their only remaining person that was with them. Fessy might have been stubborn but to be the best, you have to convince people no matter what!
Tyler deserves the win hands down, he's possibly the best liar the show has ever seen, calling Bebe one of the biggest artists in the world I SCREAMEDomg!!
Sam loving the US' favourite female country artist x

All caught up! SUCH a great vibe from the series - 2 years later and it's finally holding up to its promise of 'the game is changing'. The coins feel like they'll bring in a really interesting dynamic and it's already making it feel like an actual game. The tasks so far have all been really good and interesting as to the mind sets of the housemates.
LOVEEE the house too (aside from the rat, a nod to Ben Frow x), the numbers on the bed (and in the pool room) are actually my favourite addition! Does make it feel more Orwellian.
I also love love love that they're actually feel like proper Big Brother housemates again rather than rejects from other shows. The launch night felt particuarly special as they walked through the crowd and didn't have those awkward chats with Emma. AND we actually got to see their *proper* auditions.
It's an interesting mix. I know there is a lot of praise for them so far but I'm not 100% sure YET. It would have been nice to have a bit more age range and colour diversity. Sian, Brooke and Kay (?) keep blending into one for me so that's three housemates currently taken up so far - I'm sure their personalities will come through more with time.
Quick thoughts:
- Can't believe Anamelia stole Jessie J's personality as well as her look
- Lewis G is just a huge NO so far. I literally cannot face another Bear arrogant, attention-seeker wind up-merchant and it cannot ruin the current final series
- Thank goodness Ellis was removed, it was the FIRST NIGHT and she was trying to get into the pants of any man who would have her. She'd even already taken hers off in preparation. Literally no remorse shown for her tweets either. BYE.
- I thought Lewis F was going to be waayyyyyyyy more cocky/arrogant than he is currently coming across. One of my least favourites on launch but he's currently one of my favourites! He's handled himself really well so far imo
- I thought Isaac was going to be dull based on his VT but wow he's bascially becoming what I thought Lewis F would be. (so it's not as though we've even avoided something because another housemate morphed into it). I think Lewis G's influence will bring out the worst in him.
- Cameron (along with Tomasz) is of course going to be the outsider/underdog and I feel I will really be able to root for him, in a Joel (BB Timebomb) way. Showed signs of holding his own too at the last minutes of last night's episode! Can't believe he was six months old when the show started - although I'm obviously not saying that in a way as if I saw the first series as a 5 year old :kink:
- Zoe was a fave from her VT and she is someone I'm currently rooting for. There's a small part of me though that is feeling slightly unsure about what is to come? I dunno I feel like she's going to turn to the 'wrong' side (whatever that may be) if that makes sense
- Kenny definitely looks like she has potential. She seems fun but also could be the much needed calming presence in there!
- Akeem is so far maybe a bit TOO normal (the producers can never win x) but if he'll shine, it'll be in a few weeks so maybe it's too early to judge.
- Tomasz is obviously going to be a big character. I'm not getting ALL the love but I did love his moves before he entered the house

Because it expired on 30th September so they’d have to have knocked it down in two weeks if not!
I think the change this year was more from Endemol’s perspective so hopefully it was to make it look more attractive/sell it to another broadcaster! If they’d axed it with series like Bear’s, I don’t think anyone would be interested. At least they can sell it as a social experiment again.
-
Endemol’s statement appears hopeful for it to move elsewhere though! I can’t see where it would fit but let’s see what the future holds and hopefully somewhere does pick it up and hopefully that somewhere actually treats the show with respect.
I’d have loved to have seen them give it another year though to actually allow the show to grow back its audience now they’ve made the right changes. But it also gives it a good reason for somewhere else to pick it up.

Aww Brett has been my fave to win for a long time now - he’s been so refreshing to the usual alpha males this show attracts :(
Rutting for Kaycee now! Tyler can win but it’s more enjoyable when someone has actually faced danger/the potential of being evicted and pulls it around.
Also lol at the whole Nicole thing on Wednesday - I sighed heavily when she screeched from the diary room and just started laughing when the big celebration involved like 5 ex-houseguests despite there being 19 previous seasons. I guess Paul had to sjow up properly at some point too 🙄

Bauer Stations to drop ‘The Big Top 40 Show’
in UK Charts
More like they keep acting as if its the Official Chart and even have the cheek of saying the Official Vodafone Big Top 40 as if that even means anything!
The whole chart is entirely ridiculous and is just made up by Global, it is totally embarrassing. It’s also completely rude to call it The Big Top 40 with Marvin Humes as if Kat is on work experience!!
