She’s back :cheeseblock: Loving the drama of it all! On first couple of listens, it feels like an amalgamation of all the eras so far, I can hear inspirations from each.

Extremely hyped, I’ve grown to really appreciate High as Hope and definitely agree that Hunger is amongst her best. Not the whole deluxe album coming a whole month after, another music trend that needs to die.

How is it possible to get more generic with each and every song. They’ve completely lost their sound, this just sounds like a filler song you stumble across on a new music playlist

I’ve already got the original on vinyl so I might wait to see the confirmed tracklist (not really interested in a bunch of remixes aside from Disclosure) and price but I’d love to have Imagine It Was Us and Strangest Feeling on vinyl :heart:

9 episodes! I’ve done the maths x The last season has 8 and had a running time of around 400 minutes in total so, if this is almost double the length, we’re potentially looking at up to 90 minute episodes (!)

omg I couldn’t have been more wrong. It’s a bumpersized season with almost double the usual length PLUS there will be a final Season 5! No wonder it’s taken so long to make :lol: I’m glad it’s coming in two parts so that I don’t have to rush the entire thing so quickly in order to avoid spoilers. Teaser posters are being posted by the social media accounts with the tagline ‘Every Ending has a Beginning’. Potentially suggesting it may be the final season? Their Twitter bio also says 004/004, which would also align with it ending with this season. @1494329557335216128 @1494333361606696965

That was my thoughts too, I don’t understand why everyone is covered in glossy CGI? Maybe it’s an early version and they’re still working on it but if is representative of what the whole show will look like, I think it’ll vastly underperform. They’re not really showing where the money is being spent.

Only the Song of the Year awards had 15 nominations, all the other categories had 5.

Genuinely so thrilled that she won, especially as it means so much to her and it was an award that recognised her in her own right! Her next single has been announced as ‘Run’ with Galantis. I do hope she gets to be in a chance very soon to start releasing solo solo singles properly but completely understand not rocking the boat too soon and especially having Galantis on board who have been on another good run recently.

Has Adele performed Oh My God live yet? It didn’t seem to be one she performed around the album release either.

Omg I’m absolutely THRILLED that Becky won :wub: Absolutely adore how much it means to her and how much she wanted it. She’s fought so so so hard to get where she is today and it felt like so many times she’d continuously get stuck as the faceless guest vocalist but she kept pushing and I’m thrilled she’s now officially a pop star in her own right!

tbf Adele and Ed Sheeran are amongst the two biggest names on the planet. It’s sad that ‘big names’ have to essentially mean anyone from North America. For me, I feel it can be nice to give that platform to celebrate homegrown talent where the performance will be the biggest of their career so far. I’m going on a complete tangent and it’s waaaay beyond this thread as I’m thinking of actors etc as well but it can sometimes be tiring that American names can dominate areas of the UK media so much and, despite much more limited success, sometimes get prioritised over UK names.

Just had a quick look and it appears Home and Away is still on one of Australia’s main channels, whereas Neighbours was moved to a multichannel a few years ago. It seems to be getting at least double the viewers and so it’s likely less reliant on Channel 5 funding. I think it’s less about the viewership in the UK and more about the costs, although they might be able to justify the costs if it was getting exceptional ratings for the timeslot. I’m sure they don’t want to see it go but they just can’t justify the high costs, especially for a show they don’t actually make.

I think it was on the rocks about 3-4 years ago due to negotiations regarding funding. Clearly there’s a point where it’s not sustainable for both broadcasters when no one is really watching in the country that makes it and the other country has to fork out the majority of the production costs for a show they don’t make.

I cannot promise anything but omg you need to watch series 3 as well Jade!! I’ve been watching Veep for the first time while I have a Now subscription but it’s expiring tomorrow before I’ll have finished it It’s been excellent though and some truly laugh out loud moments.

I think this has been planned for months as well, there was always a free weekend in February and as Jack says, it’s different to a full on show. As I’ve said elsewhere, there’s obviously more going on re the tour but we don’t know the full facts!

Contrary to what appears to be the general consensus, I’m enjoying this. Tense and an intriguing mystery that is emerging. I think perhaps the main problem is that it feels more like a second series? It’s as though there’s already been a first series establishing the world, characters, threat etc and, with that established, it’s returned with a big launch for it’s second series? I am definitely intrigued but it feels that there needs to be more about the actual threat etc because at the moment it feels very Davina ‘fancy another one’, ’hey, want another one’. I know we’ll get to it, and there are underlying comments re the ‘English flag’ but it feels there needs to be a bit more focus on the actual aim/plan of the threat.

Definitely underwhelming, even in comparison to the other two seasons! I can’t say I really know any but hopefully they will be entertaining?? I have no idea! I only really know Todrick but that was through all the BB23 cast refusing to go home after the season ended and they just stayed at his house, clearly it was a ploy to get on the show himself!

Good to see this hopefully coming soon! I think Mirror is one of her weaker songs, and certainly her weakest single, but Burning Bridges was really strong! I agree though, it’s odd not to include Head on Fire but maybe that will be streaming/digital only as a bonus track?

I’ve heard it’s pretty awful so I won’t be checking it out but I really hope this is them testing the waters to bring CBB back! On the flip side though, they’re becoming a channel that just shows Australian reality shows :lol: I wish it was the US one instead :(
