  2. This is only a four part series, on Netflix now, so a fairly quick watch and I would really recommend if you're into True Crime stuff! Not really watched many stuff from the genre since Making a Murderer but I know there's a few on Netflix that have caught my attention and I thought I'd give this a go considering the short length.

Found it really engrossing and, the first episode in particular, was very chilling - don't watch if you're quite sensitive!! It's really stayed with me, I think largely because you do get to see

    Brian Wells last moments

. I feel it maybe could have gone into a bit more detail but its still a good exploration of the 'evil genius'.

I recommend going into this COLD (unless you'd already heard about the events of the Pizza Man Bank Robbery ofc!!) but here's the description from Wiki:

Trey Borzillieri, the co-director of Evil Genius, first got the idea to make a series about a high-profile crime after watching Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills. He became captivated with the murder of Brian Wells when evidence emerged that Wells may have been forced to commit the robbery with a bomb strapped to his chest. He subsequently began interviewing people around Erie, Pennsylvania, where the incident had occurred. In 2005, two years after Wells's death, Borzillieri struck up a correspondence with Marjorie Diehl-Armstrong, originally because she was one of the only people who might have information about the (then) cold case.[4]He spent years investigating the case, including interacting extensively with Diehl-Armstrong while she was in prison

  4. Launch will definitely be the biggest yet but the World Cup will hurt it this year. It’ll probably be between Series 2 & 3 overall. Unless they’re’s some big surprises, this will be peak year in terms of hype.
  5. The full cast is returning for a series of audio adventures from Big Finish (who produce looooooooads of audio stories for classic and now new Who, recently uniting the DoctorDonna and the Doctor and Rose as well as producing new Torchwood dramas). They'll be six stories in total, with Ace (companion of the Seventh Doctor) appearing in one of them!
  6. Returning for another celebrity run next Friday with Dame Kelly Homes, Greg Rutherford, Alfie Deyes, Jorgie Porter and Big Narstie (!) all in the first episode.

    Very hyped for Big Narstie!!

Kind of hope that they introduce some new games.

  7. It was always going to be difficult to follow up with a second season due to the format of the first season and I've already expressed my concerns here before. I think they did well but it certainly wasn't as captivating as the first season.

I do think the whole basis of the trial was ridiculous, as with many US programmes, but at least it allowed people to tell their sides of the story. It did perhaps emphasise the point

revenge suicide point for me though, most of the people named in the tapes made foolish mistakes/errors of judgement but they're now left feeling horrendous

    .

Jessica's storyline was definitely the highlight and handled really well, although

absolutely ridiculous that Justin got a higher sentence than Bryce :drama:

    .

I kind of feel that many other character's storylines

just were non-existent and the characters were left with nothing to do. You could have easily removed Sheri, Courtney and Ryan and there would have basically been no bearing on the events, aside from Sheri's venture into the clubhouse ofc

    .

I liked Tyler's storyline as you could see it all happening again in a different way, although that mop scene was waaaaaaaaaaaaay too extreme and unnecessary and I agree that the gun finale wasn't brilliantly done.

I pray there's not a third season though as that'll be completely overdoing it.

  9. BIG news as the revival had been scoring massive ratings, with the first episode getting higher than the original finale. It has had a lot of attention towards it for being pro-Trump and the President himself even congratulated the show’s ratings (because TV ratings are definitely what he needs to focus on). No doubt Trump will make some remark

ABC announced on Tuesday that it would cancel the sitcom "Roseanne" following "abhorrent" comments from the star, Roseanne Barr, who had compared former Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett to an ape.

“Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show," Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment, said in a statement Tuesday. "There was only one thing to do here, and that was the right thing," Disney CEO Bob Iger said in a tweet following the announcement. Disney is the parent company of ABC.

Roseanne had apologized for her comments, in which she compared Jarrett to an ape, earlier in the day. Barr said of Jarrett in the since-deleted tweet: "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj."

“I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans," Barr wrote on Twitter. "I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste." The actress had earlier defended the statement against other critics on the social media platform.

“Roseanne" returned to television this year after an initial run in the 1980s and '90s. The show was an immediate hit, with more than 18 million viewers watching the premiere.

Barr, whose provocative Twitter presence rankled ABC executives, has been an outspoken proponent of President Donald Trump. Trump congratulated Barr for the ratings success. The revival, which commanded a huge audience during its first season, had been renewed for a second season in March.

Dungey is reportedly the first black female head of a major TV network.

  11. I watched the first episode and was extremely disappointed not going to lie. I mean yes there were some good jokes there but I’m really hoping that the rest of the season doesn’t follow the same approach.

It wasn’t a case of picking up where Season 4 left off, it was just basically a recap episode and then filling in blanks I didn’t particularly need filling in! It particualrly felt like an epilogue to Season 4 rather than a big bold new start to a season. Not sure why they went to the extent of re-releasing Season 4 if they were doing that first episode anyway. The trailers seemed to suggest different so I am hoping, now that is out the way, the rest of the ‘half’ season can move on.
