  1. Really loved that episode! It was what

    Rellik

should have been! Need to watch it again I think to pick up on bits I probably missed.

I liked the second episode too, a really nice ending that I didn’t expect and a good look back at that 70/80s style comedians.

  2. I have a weird sense this is going to go the way of The Returned, with an excellent first series that feels it is building towards something bigger only for it to go the complete other way. I really hope not though.

I read they’ve only just finished the scripts so we’re probably getting this next year? If not, like Nov/Dec this year :nocheer:

  3. omg just watched the sixth episode of Season 5 aka the episode with

that scene from the film. It was so clever how they reimagined and changed it from the film and it sort of follows on from the whole theme of the series. It has all been a reimagining of the iconic film rather than trying to directly replicate it/be canon with the film. The whole episode was such a great character piece for Norman. Obviously Marion is a really crucial character to the Psycho world, but in the Bates Motel world, she's just sort of another female character Norman would have killed, just the one who he happens to get caught for. I loved how he was trying to break away from his illness and meant that Marion became a special character for another reason to the film.

I'm not going to lie though, I was quite gutted when Rihanna went away scot free because I was so excited to see the iconic scene but it was brilliant how we still got it, being played in the same way as the film but with a different person.

  4. India seems to be gravitating towards Shane J/Courtney a lot which is interesting!

Shane J comes across as very intelligent, I love his approach to discussions/explaining things. I wish everyone would discuss things in the same way he does, allowing the other ‘side’ to voice their opinions clearly and then offering his response in a really calm and positive manner, showing interest in actually listening to the other side. I feel he’s very good at psychology too, his suspicions over the women’s secret task clearly came from studying their behaviour.

Really going off Wayne, he seems to have a few tantrums, particularly last night with Rachel. Yes Rachel can obviously be quite ignorant if she’s continually doing that but his response was like a child! It showed again too when they were recylcing. His name drops are embarrassing too, he drops them WAITING for a response from someone.

  5. what I take from these winners/noms is not the dominance of pro-female dramas The Handmaid's Tale and Big Little Lies but the fact that it's dominated by MOVIE STARS!!! Poor regular TV actors and actresses who used to have their chance to shine amongst the big Hollywoo stars are now cast out to the dirt.

So happy that Aziz Ansari was recognised though! idk a The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

  7. I had always been intrigued by this but it looked too weird for me to make a start but after loving Rick and Morty earlier last year, I decided to take a dive into another odd but hyped animation and I LOVED it straight from the first episode.

I'm just nearing the end of Season 3 now and it's so odd but it actually deals with some really great issues as well as being hilarious. I love the satirical take on Hollywoo and washed up stars while the whole animal thing actually works really well and creates some really good humour. The under the sea episode was particularly mind-blowing and brilliantly done!

I love Princess Caroline, particularly moreso after knowing she's Mimi from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmiddt, as she often provides the best moments for me. I especially found Vincent absolutely hilarious and I would have been happy for him to be a full-timer despite the one-note joke  I like Sarah Lynn too, obviously a take on child actors, but the juxtaposition that they do of the young Sarah Lynn and the one she is now is actually quite tragic. Todd is also brilliant, moreso when he's off doing his own thing without the other characters.

I would really recommend the show as there's a lot of enjoyment to be had from it, the plot is really engaging and it keeps on moving whilst also providing some really funny moments but also some serious character elements. It's such an odd world but it makes it all the more unique.

In an alternate world where humans and tailless anthropomorphic animals live side by side, BoJack Horseman, the washed-up star of the 1990s Horsin' Around, plans his big return to celebrity relevance with a tell-all autobiography that he dictates to his ghostwriter Diane Nguyen. BoJack also has to contend with the demands of his agent and on-again-off-again girlfriend Princess Carolyn, the misguided antics of his freeloading roommate Todd Chavez, and his frenemy Mr. Peanutbutter, who is also Nguyen's boyfriend (and, later, her husband). The series satirizes Hollywood, celebrity culture, drug abuse, anxiety, depression and the effects of the entertainment industry in contemporary culture.

four seasons of the animation are on Netflix along with a Christmas special. The cast includes Will Arnett, Aaron Paul, Alison Brie, Amy Sedaris and Paul F. Tompkins! There have also been a number of big name guest stars!
