There seems to be so little hype for this, considering what it is. I didn't even realise it was out this month until last week!!
I don't know if it's because people have already seen Batman, Superman & Wonder Woman together in a film (and the focus has only been on them so far), or if Avengers has already soaked up that omg all these heroes in one film excitement or if the whole DC universe thing still feels like a panic cash-in on the MCU.
I've yet to be drawn into the DCEU myself. Man of Steel was too long and moody, I've yet to watch Batman v Superman because it sounds too much of a mess, Ben Affleck should not be Batman and, as I said, it all seems to be panic put together without a proper plan/vision. I did see Suicide Squad and, whilst messy, it was different. Not watched Wonder Woman but I do want to after the great reviews!

A new trilogy is being worked on by Rian Johnson, and it will move away from ‘the Skywalkers’! :o
It was to be expected but I didn’t expect them to announce it this soon, it would have been nice to have a bit of a break again between the trilogys but then this is modern day Disney. I wonder if Rey/Finn/Poe will still be involved?

It definitely feels as though Sarah-Jayne was fired to balance up the genders but I also agree that he seems to be more on a mission to fire all those who aren't pulling their weight.
I don't know how Charles is still there and Andrew is so cringy and he should of gone for basically promoting a booze tour when you only got three tasters!
I was honestly hoping he'd fire all three of them. We're so overdue a multiple firing that he HAS to get rid of more of them very soon. There's 3 extra firings still to be made in four weeks unless he wants more at the interview stage!
Elizabeth actually having a PM win under her belt though omg

Major news but I can’t help but GROAN at yet another Marvel TV show!! It’s not the same as a film where you only have to watch two hours and so you can produce multiple at a time. Marvel already have Agents of SHIELD, Inhumans, Dardevil, Luke cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, The Defenders, The Punisher all going with Cloak and Dagger, Runaways and New Warriors in development and then Agenr Carter is finished.
They want to add ANOTHER to the list??
This just seems to capitalise on something where they’res already waay too much TV. Although, it does stand to have more chance of being a hit than say Amazon Prime due to all the well known brands.
Interesting that they’re developing a live-action Star Wars series. Obviously it’s the most obvious decision to help lauch this streaming service but I’m fearing that they’re very much draining/diluting the Star Wars brand with all these spin-off films and the latest annoucement of a new trilogy. I mean they’ve only released two films so far in this latest revivial and we’ve got an announced 6 more to come at the very least!!
I am very intrigued about the Monsters Inc series though!! So long as this is actually a sequel this time. Watch it focus on conpletely random characters...

After being part of one of the pilots of last year's Sitcom Season, Motherland airs it's full series tonight!
It focuses on all the everyday traumas of mothers and stars Anna Maxwell-Martin, Diane Morgan and Lucy Punch. It is also written by Graham Lineham, Sharon Horgan, Holly Walsh and Helen Lineham!
Motherland is a show all about navigating the trials and traumas of middle-class motherhood, looking at the competitive and unromantic sides of parenting - not the cute and acceptable public face of motherhood. We meet the 'Alpha Mums' headed by Amanda (Lucy Punch - The Wedding Video) who is very much the Queen Bee: everything in her life is organised, clean and sparkly - even the kіtchen cork board is a statement of success.
At the other end of the spectrum we meet Liz (Diane Morgan - Cunk On Shakespeare) who's totally chaotic and feels the kids should enjoy free expression. Somewhere in the middle is Julia (Anna Maxwell-Martin - Reg), who, when she forgets it’s the school holidays, realises her organisational skills are nowhere near the level of the ‘Alpha Mums’. Also in the mix is Kevin (Paul Ready Utopia), he's the stay-at-home dad, who rather than fighting against that, is embracing it with gusto - much to the irritation of the other mothers.
Motherland is written by Graham Linehan (Count Arthur Strong, Father Ted), Sharon Horgan (Catastrophe, Pulling), Helen Linehan and Holly Walsh (Dead Boss).

I was expecting to enjoy this more than I did. It was a good entertaining film but the plot was a bit threadbare.
It felt Like it was two different films merged into one: the Hela film and the Planet Hulk film. It might have worked a bit better if there was more interction with Hela and Thor and she purposely put him on the Grandmaster planet/was working with the Grnadmaster but the fact that the two plots had no correlation whatsoever really damaged the film for me.
.
It looked visually stunning though and I did enjoy Hela as a villain, a big improvement on the majority of Marvel villains so far if a little camp! I liked the ending too, it didn’t feel too magical solution like these types of films normally do (even if I guess it probably was in practice :kink:). Thor was able to stand out more than he has done previously, so glad Jane wasn’t there because she would have just felt inserted in for the sake of it. Glad we got to see lots more of the actual Hulk rather than just using him in fighting scenes too.
Loki was a bit all over the place,
I felt his inclusion was a bit forced. It didn’t really develop the whole good/bad guy from the Dark World. He was just good when the plot needed him to be and bad when the plot needed him to be. He just appeared when the plot needed hik too. I don’t think they really nailed his character at all in the film.
Also
the Doctor Strange bit was quite sudden and forced, like the Falcon scene in Ant Man. I liked the ideas of using characters from the universe but I would like them to be more natural rather than doing it for the sake of it. Doctor Strange just randomly poped up and then was never discussed/seen again!
It was a fun watch though, maybe one too many jokes for me.

in Pop and Country
Even if she doesn’t go this week, she’s a goner next week. She’s just not improving at all.
She might be putting in all that work during the week but it’s just not showing. She looks like she’s giving the actual performances as mich effort as a Saturdays release.
