Where next for the pop group?
I think the problem is that pop groups are more disproportionately buoyed by fans which can easily be translated to sales but it is a lot harder to push through in the streaming era because it limits fans impact. BTS are the biggest and possibly only pop group now getting hit singles and a large part is down to their massive fan base. And yes, you can say there’s nothing stopping fans from still buying in the same amounts as before which should have a big impact but the new generation haven’t been brought up on sales. I’ve seen so many stans on Twitter acting like they’re saving someone’s career because they bought a CD or purchased the single

Doctor Who: Flux • The Vanquishers
It isn’t as though it was a bad episode, it’s just underwhelming in the context of the series and proved there was no need to introduce so many characters. It’s a running theme of this era to just chuck in a hundred characters and take them nowhere. It could have been an incredibly strong series if it had just had more focus and cut out the unnecessary elements. What was the point in the Grand Serpent? There were already enough villains so why introduce another one who isn’t integral to the plot and has no history. Why bring back Kate Stewart and do nothing with her? Obviously she must be returning in one of the specials (given her line about hoping to meet her again) but just have her return then, you don’t need to introduce another element to an already crowded series. What was the point in Vinder and Bel - so much time was spent on their backstories and yet the overall story could have easily been told without their involvement. If you introduce so many elements, they all need to be integral to the story. You shouldn’t feel like you can take one away and still be able to tell the story by maybe rewriting a couple of lines. It was my problem with Captain Jack returning as well - there was no purpose for him to be in either episode other than as a deus ex machina to break the Doctor out of a jail that she was in for 5 minutes and for no reason. I’d have had Swarm & Azure being the main threats for the full series. Keep the Sontarans, Angels, Division etc but tie up Swarm/Azure more with the division and have a clearer aim for their purpose. It felt like wrapping up a normal episode, not the biggest story the show has told. It just all fell a bit flat which is what I’m most disappointed by. I’d really enjoyed the journey but it didn’t lead us anywhere. :(

why introduce all those characters for not one to be anything of importance

Doctor Who: Flux • The Vanquishers
Hyped! Although so many elements to tie up and getting the landing right is certainly not a Chibnall strength. Whilst we will get more Division answers, I’m certainly expecting that thread to carry on over the specials. I had been wanting a Master return but that can certainly wait for the specials, it’s way too overloaded for him to also turn up  I’m intrigued as to how the actual Flux will be resolved given it’s destroyed so much of the universe already, part of me wonders if it will be a case of moving universes :o

- I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! • Series 21
I’ve always thought that this was the one reality show where the contestants/cast etc didn’t matter but this year is seemingly proving me wrong  It’s never felt like so much of an effort before!- The BRIT Awards 2022
I mean it was guaranteed anyway but Adele is essentially a confirmed performer as she’s doing a Las Vegas residency in Jan-Apr but conveniently has a weekend off in the middle of February :o- MARINA - Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land
Deluxe album is incoming!!! :cheeseblock: Happy Loner out this Friday!!! :cheeseblock: And still three months to wait for the vinyl- Doctor Who: Flux • Survivors of the Flux
all i keep thinking is that if Graham was still there, he’d have made them wait in the village for the Doctor to come and pick them up- Doctor Who: Flux • Survivors of the Flux
shook :cheeseblock: I was not expecting those Division revelations and so hyped as to what will be explained next week, not sure I’m prepared. LOVED the explanation for the Flux, really cool concept. I started to feel it undermined Swarm and Azure as I’d thought they’d caused it but glad they seem to be taking centre stage again after a quieter couple of weeks. The whole episode just looked stunning. So impressed with how they pulled off Yaz & Dan’s world trip all from Cardiff!! Yes it’s manic, yes it’s Doctor Who on a quadruple espresso shot, yes it will put of causal viewers but I don’t care! The show’s future is in safe hands and it’s so thrilling as a fan for the show to tell the biggest story it has ever told and go places the show has never been in it’s 58 year history. It’s so nice to have something so different and showcase what can be possible with the show. I may still have my doubts about the Timeless Child storyline but I cannot deny how amazing it is for the show to have actual secrets and proper reveals rather than the usual omg its actually the Daleks or omg it’s the Master. It’s helping tell stories that I never thought were possible. also lol at the random Class plug - the most promo the BBC have ever given the show- Doctor Who: Flux • Survivors of the Flux
f*** knows where this is heading next, especially after last week’s cliffhanger. There’s still about a thousand elements up in the air with more being introduced this week ( ) so let’s continue the craziest and most manic ride the show has ever been on…- Brit Awards 2022 Predictions
Oh I didn’t realise the genre ones were fan-voted, a lot less keen on that part :(- Brit Awards 2022 Predictions
Great decision to bring back the genre awards as well as having an overall artist of the year. Should hopefully mean a greater variety of winners.- Forum Lag Time
- Doctor Who: Flux • Village of the Angels
That was peak Weeping Angel action, it did not disappoint *. and that cliffhanger :cheeseblock: best one yet! I was not expecting it to link in with the Division, seems we might hopefully get more answers next week if she’s being ‘called up’ and also it’ll mean even more Angel action :cheeseblock: and rising out of the ashes next week :cheeseblock:- Doctor Who: Flux • Village of the Angels
:cheeseblock:- Adele - 30
The voice memos in My Little Love make it so raw to the point it feels intrusive. Really heartbreaking to hear.- I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! • Series 21
Yeh, Kadeena’s my favourite going into the show. She’s got such a strong friendly personality from what I’ve seen. Naughty Boy’s inclusion seems quite random, maybe even more so that they were eager to have him back after dropping out last year. Richard Madeley is going to be… interesting and surely will be where the tension lies. I feel it’s a middle of the road lineup for me, I’m not really wowed. I wonder how many they approach are holding out for Australia and who are more keen to do it for it being in Wales.- Doctor Who: Flux • Once, Upon Time
tbh it does slightly annoy me when the show gets criticised for being too confusing when everyone seemingly happily follows along with shows like Line of Duty which reference minor events that happened 10 years ago that become a big part of the plot. I know this is more of a family show but it makes it difficult to try something new and it can then get criticised for playing it safe with ‘filler’ episodes. To me, once you were aware of what was going on (as in it didn’t immediately say what was happening) it was relatively straightforward. To save Yaz & Vinder, the Doctor and Dan stood on the podium which I guess lessened the impact. Whilst the Doctor was trying to get them out, she worked with the guardians (look I forget names x) to place them in their own timelines to help disguise them. For the Doctor and Vinder, this meant we could explore their backstories. For Yaz and Dan, there’s were seemingly events they hadn’t yet experienced (with the addition of the Liverpool tunnels). Due to fluxy stuff, they each appeared in each other’s visions taking the role of the people who were actually there. Then you had Vinder’s girlfriend trying to reach Vinder. I was absolutely THRILLED to see Fugitive Doctor again and so hyped we got to see the Doctor on a Division mission. I had suspected there might have been a reveal of who Yaz and Vinder actually were but maybe that’s to come (or they’re just randomers). Just so glad Fugitive Doctor hasn’t been abandoned and it gives me hope she’ll be back properly! My main criticism is that it maybe fell into the trap of a flashback episode so, whilst it was amazing to see Division era Doctor and her encounter with the Ravagers and also to get that expansion of Vinder’s character, it didn’t really progress the actual story as it just explained what had happened to get the characters to where they are now. Loved the use of the Weeping Angels again, a fun touch with the video game and I loved the final scene. Really thrilling to see them actually succeed in what they tried to do all the way back in Blink. So so hyped for next week, it should be amazing.- Doctor Who: Flux • Once, Upon Time
:cheeseblock: :cheeseblock: :cheeseblock: Next week’s episode is going to be the best of the era so far, I just KNOW- Doctor Who: Flux • Once, Upon Time
It seems as though we’re getting more to Vinder’s backstory as well as some focus on Yaz. Also, we’ll likely get to explore what the Flux actually is or, at least it’s affect on time? It feels like there’s a lot of unknowns about this episode so could we be getting some big surprises :o- Disney+ Marvel TV shows
omg even MORE Marvel shows have been announced as part of Disney+ Day :drama: Some of these have already been announced but this is the list of all upcoming shows: • Hawkeye • Ms Marvel • Moon Knight • She-Hulk • What If…?: Season 2 • Loki: Season 2 • Ironheart • Secret Invasion • Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special • I Am Groot (Animated…. i think?) • Agatha: House of Harkness • Echo • Armor Wars • Spiderman: Freshman Year (Animated) • Marvel Zombies (Animated) • X-Men ‘97 (Animated) • Untitled Wakanda series The Zombies is the most random for me, it made for one of the better What If…? episodes but just how can you make a full series of it… There are still lots I’m hyped for though, Ms Marvel, Agatha (!!) and Secret Invasion in particular. The Guardians special should be a lot of fun as well! I can definitely leave Armor Wars though and interesting that it doesn’t seem to have been part of Disney+ Day.- Doctor Who: Flux • War of the Sontarans
- Doctor Who: Flux • War of the Sontarans
Yeh I’m interested in viewing figures but nowhere near as bothered this time around as we know it’s got a secure future. Obviously it would be worrying if they were abysmally low but if they’re solid enough, I’m just gonna enjoy watching! In terms of this point, the whole character of the Sontarans is that they crave battle and so just going back to kill human #1 isn’t a proper battle for them, it’s essentially a cheat code. They want a proper victory and getting that through endless battles throughout time is perfect for them and what they ultimately exist for. It’s why the Series 4 Sontaran story is a bit weaker imo as their plan doesn’t involve any form of actual battle and is a bit of a cheat for them. - I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! • Series 21
