Great decision to bring back the genre awards as well as having an overall artist of the year. Should hopefully mean a greater variety of winners.

    It’s back
  3. That was peak Weeping Angel action, it did not disappoint *. and that cliffhanger :cheeseblock: best one yet! I was not expecting it to link in with the Division, seems we might hopefully get more answers next week if she’s being ‘called up’ and also it’ll mean even more Angel action :cheeseblock: and rising out of the ashes next week :cheeseblock:

The voice memos in My Little Love make it so raw to the point it feels intrusive. Really heartbreaking to hear.
  6. omg :cheeseblock: this is justice for Spit of You peaking at #41
  7. Yeh, Kadeena’s my favourite going into the show. She’s got such a strong friendly personality from what I’ve seen. Naughty Boy’s inclusion seems quite random, maybe even more so that they were eager to have him back after dropping out last year. Richard Madeley is going to be… interesting and surely will be where the tension lies. I feel it’s a middle of the road lineup for me, I’m not really wowed. I wonder how many they approach are holding out for Australia and who are more keen to do it for it being in Wales.

    Poor Becky :(
  9. tbh it does slightly annoy me when the show gets criticised for being too confusing when everyone seemingly happily follows along with shows like Line of Duty which reference minor events that happened 10 years ago that become a big part of the plot. I know this is more of a family show but it makes it difficult to try something new and it can then get criticised for playing it safe with ‘filler’ episodes. To me, once you were aware of what was going on (as in it didn’t immediately say what was happening) it was relatively straightforward. To save Yaz & Vinder, the Doctor and Dan stood on the podium which I guess lessened the impact. Whilst the Doctor was trying to get them out, she worked with the guardians (look I forget names x) to place them in their own timelines to help disguise them. For the Doctor and Vinder, this meant we could explore their backstories. For Yaz and Dan, there’s were seemingly events they hadn’t yet experienced (with the addition of the Liverpool tunnels). Due to fluxy stuff, they each appeared in each other’s visions taking the role of the people who were actually there. Then you had Vinder’s girlfriend trying to reach Vinder. I was absolutely THRILLED to see Fugitive Doctor again and so hyped we got to see the Doctor on a Division mission. I had suspected there might have been a reveal of who Yaz and Vinder actually were but maybe that’s to come (or they’re just randomers). Just so glad Fugitive Doctor hasn’t been abandoned and it gives me hope she’ll be back properly! My main criticism is that it maybe fell into the trap of a flashback episode so, whilst it was amazing to see Division era Doctor and her encounter with the Ravagers and also to get that expansion of Vinder’s character, it didn’t really progress the actual story as it just explained what had happened to get the characters to where they are now. Loved the use of the Weeping Angels again, a fun touch with the video game and I loved the final scene. Really thrilling to see them actually succeed in what they tried to do all the way back in Blink. So so hyped for next week, it should be amazing.
  10. :cheeseblock: :cheeseblock: :cheeseblock: Next week’s episode is going to be the best of the era so far, I just KNOW
  11. It seems as though we’re getting more to Vinder’s backstory as well as some focus on Yaz. Also, we’ll likely get to explore what the Flux actually is or, at least it’s affect on time? It feels like there’s a lot of unknowns about this episode so could we be getting some big surprises :o

omg even MORE Marvel shows have been announced as part of Disney+ Day :drama: Some of these have already been announced but this is the list of all upcoming shows: • Hawkeye • Ms Marvel • Moon Knight • She-Hulk • What If…?: Season 2 • Loki: Season 2 • Ironheart • Secret Invasion • Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special • I Am Groot (Animated…. i think?) • Agatha: House of Harkness • Echo • Armor Wars • Spiderman: Freshman Year (Animated) • Marvel Zombies (Animated) • X-Men ‘97 (Animated) • Untitled Wakanda series The Zombies is the most random for me, it made for one of the better What If…? episodes but just how can you make a full series of it… There are still lots I’m hyped for though, Ms Marvel, Agatha (!!) and Secret Invasion in particular. The Guardians special should be a lot of fun as well! I can definitely leave Armor Wars though and interesting that it doesn’t seem to have been part of Disney+ Day.
  13. Yeh I’m interested in viewing figures but nowhere near as bothered this time around as we know it’s got a secure future. Obviously it would be worrying if they were abysmally low but if they’re solid enough, I’m just gonna enjoy watching! In terms of this point, the whole character of the Sontarans is that they crave battle and so just going back to kill human #1 isn’t a proper battle for them, it’s essentially a cheat code. They want a proper victory and getting that through endless battles throughout time is perfect for them and what they ultimately exist for. It’s why the Series 4 Sontaran story is a bit weaker imo as their plan doesn’t involve any form of actual battle and is a bit of a cheat for them.
  14. Let’s not forget this is a show where, amongst many things, its logic includes the TARDIS dragging the Earth halfway across the universe and the result on Earth was only a few minor shakes <3
  15. Remember this is an episode specific thread so spoilers for the episode are allowed without tags after the episode has aired :D Something the Third Doctor did all the time :kink: and the Sontarans ability to invade time is due to taking advantage of the Flux!
  16. The show has never looked so good as well, some of those CGI shots were superb!!!
  17. Bit of a deviation from the overall storyline but nice to play with the effects of the Flux and how some familiar faces would seek to take advantage of that. It means we still get that classic Doctor Who episode but it still fits within the overall scope of this series. I’ve never been a huge fan of the Sontarans as they can be a bit one note but this was definitely a strong story for them, using them for their actual purpose and they were involved in a proper battle for the first time! I loved the setting and Mary Seacole was a great addition, a historical figure I admit I had no awareness of beforehand! It was also one of Thirteenth/Jodie’s best episodes. It makes a huge difference when she’s allowed to be the Doctor and not just a vehicle for technobabble exposition. It was a good episode for Dan too, getting to play a stronger companion role than Ryan or Graham ever did oops. His parents were great too, although a shame they just got dropped halfway through! Swarm and Azure are incredible, such a threatening force and they could be up there with the show’s very best if this continues! It was during their scenes where I was most hooked! Really strong start overall and I’m just hyped as to where this series will go. I’m so intrigued by Time and what is happening to the TARDIS….
  18. So good :cheeseblock:

Godele coming to put a stop to the 2 minute song trend :cheeseblock:
  20. I’m actually stanning this TARDIS team already, really shows how overcrowded three companions are. Yaz is able to come into her own by having Ryan & Graham’s lines and Dan is able to provide that fresh outlook. LOTS going on, as I expected (and slightly fear may have been offputting to casual viewers but if they can keep up with the likes of Line of Duty/Vigil, it shouldn’t be an issue…) but it’s nice to have lots of threads dangling that will hopefully all tie together as we progress through the series! It all felt so so fresh, almost like a different show but still keeping the same DNA. I think it’s definitely what the show needs at this point in time and I’m so excited to see how it all develops and delve into all the theories! It would be interesting to see how my outlook on this era would have been had this been the approach throughout, at times during that episode I actually felt some grief at the fact it was coming to an end! Thought the Weeping Angels would have been featured more as they felt quite hyped up for this episode but it seems they’ll be returning in other episodes. I think I was most shook at the Doctor mentioning the Division :cheeseblock: seemingly confirming that the Timeless Child storyline will be developed further! It seems the history with the big bad guy may have been during the Division? I think the soldiers who were supposed to be his guards had the same guns as the Fugitive Doctor had?
  21. (i love that image aside from that awful photoshop for Jodie) I wasn’t that hyped but it’s just suddenly hit me! I think knowing the surprises we got in Series 12 makes me all the more excited because I have no idea what may be in store this time around. I do hope Jo Martin returns but the cast list is already bursting at the seams, nevermind all the monsters that are going to be featured. Let’s just hope the different story format allows for everything to breathe!
  22. It’s time for the Thirteenth Doctor to return in the thirteenth series. The series will see Dan the Plasterer join Yaz & the Doctor in a six part epic that sees a bunch of returning and new monsters and new character Vinder. Who are the Ravagers? What is the Flux? Who knows…
  23. Tracklist: 1. Distorted Light Beam 2. Thelma + Louise 3. No Bad Days 4. Brave New World (interlude) 5. Back To The Future 6. Plug In... 7. Promises (by Riz Ahmed) 8. Shut Off The Lights 9. Stay Awake? 10. Give Me The Future 11. Club 57 12. Total Dissociation (interlude) 13. Future Holds (feat BIM.) I wish they hadn’t realised so many tracks in such quick succession as, given the interludes and framing of ‘by Riz Ahmed’, it doesn’t feel like they’ll be many new tracks come next February! Excited anyway, they literally never miss for me and I get addicted to every song.
