Let’s not forget this is a show where, amongst many things, its logic includes the TARDIS dragging the Earth halfway across the universe and the result on Earth was only a few minor shakes <3

The show has never looked so good as well, some of those CGI shots were superb!!!

Bit of a deviation from the overall storyline but nice to play with the effects of the Flux and how some familiar faces would seek to take advantage of that. It means we still get that classic Doctor Who episode but it still fits within the overall scope of this series. I’ve never been a huge fan of the Sontarans as they can be a bit one note but this was definitely a strong story for them, using them for their actual purpose and they were involved in a proper battle for the first time! I loved the setting and Mary Seacole was a great addition, a historical figure I admit I had no awareness of beforehand! It was also one of Thirteenth/Jodie’s best episodes. It makes a huge difference when she’s allowed to be the Doctor and not just a vehicle for technobabble exposition. It was a good episode for Dan too, getting to play a stronger companion role than Ryan or Graham ever did oops. His parents were great too, although a shame they just got dropped halfway through! Swarm and Azure are incredible, such a threatening force and they could be up there with the show’s very best if this continues! It was during their scenes where I was most hooked! Really strong start overall and I’m just hyped as to where this series will go. I’m so intrigued by Time and what is happening to the TARDIS….

I’m actually stanning this TARDIS team already, really shows how overcrowded three companions are. Yaz is able to come into her own by having Ryan & Graham’s lines and Dan is able to provide that fresh outlook. LOTS going on, as I expected (and slightly fear may have been offputting to casual viewers but if they can keep up with the likes of Line of Duty/Vigil, it shouldn’t be an issue…) but it’s nice to have lots of threads dangling that will hopefully all tie together as we progress through the series! It all felt so so fresh, almost like a different show but still keeping the same DNA. I think it’s definitely what the show needs at this point in time and I’m so excited to see how it all develops and delve into all the theories! It would be interesting to see how my outlook on this era would have been had this been the approach throughout, at times during that episode I actually felt some grief at the fact it was coming to an end! Thought the Weeping Angels would have been featured more as they felt quite hyped up for this episode but it seems they’ll be returning in other episodes. I think I was most shook at the Doctor mentioning the Division :cheeseblock: seemingly confirming that the Timeless Child storyline will be developed further! It seems the history with the big bad guy may have been during the Division? I think the soldiers who were supposed to be his guards had the same guns as the Fugitive Doctor had?

(i love that image aside from that awful photoshop for Jodie) I wasn’t that hyped but it’s just suddenly hit me! I think knowing the surprises we got in Series 12 makes me all the more excited because I have no idea what may be in store this time around. I do hope Jo Martin returns but the cast list is already bursting at the seams, nevermind all the monsters that are going to be featured. Let’s just hope the different story format allows for everything to breathe!

It’s time for the Thirteenth Doctor to return in the thirteenth series. The series will see Dan the Plasterer join Yaz & the Doctor in a six part epic that sees a bunch of returning and new monsters and new character Vinder. Who are the Ravagers? What is the Flux? Who knows…

I think the biggest problem is that there’s still so much talk about who the HOH’s target is and no one is really prepared to deviate from that. Like the HOH is the one person who will usually be casting a vote so the power is in everyone elses hand, not there’s. If they have an issue, you can get them out next week as they’re not eligible for HOH!

favourite moment of the night was Julie going f*** social distancing after weeks of airhugs! i’m loving this let loose version of her, rip the chenbot What a fantastic season, truly amazing to finally have the story reversed. Loved the majority of the cast and it’s the best jury I’ve seen. Hoping it can carry over to next season and it paves the way for a more balanced game. Would love to see Derek X, Tiffany, Hannah and Claire all return!

I still can’t believe it either! I would have put more money on Kris Marshall being the Doctor :kink: Even aside from the writing, RTD really FIGHTS for the show including across all formats e.g. there wouldn’t have been the Big Finish audios after 2005 without him. I don’t know what has happened behind the scenes over the last few years but none of that has really appeared to have come through. I know that RTD gives it 150% (although hopefully not to his personal detriment this time round!!) and I’m just so excited for there to be a lot of NOISE again. It’s the fact I’m extremely more hyped and excited for Series 14 than the one that is coming who even knows when… I do hope that he keeps Sacha Dhawan as the Master though :wub:

Fantastic news to get confirmation of a 60th special (wasn’t sure it would happen in light of the 100th BBC anniversary episode, Chibnall & Jodie leaving) but the fact it’s ‘60th and beyond’ suggests we’re looking at two years without a full series :( It sounds ungrateful but we’ve been STARVED over the past few years :kink: I do wonder if we’ll be seeing the return of spin-offs again? There’s a lot of talk about competing with Netflix/Disney+ and RTD stated the show should be looking at it’s own MCU type franchise. Extremely exciting times ahead!!
