I got The XX vinyl - bit pricy, especially when the sound quality is meant to be poorer for glow in the dark vinyls but I was too intrigued and wanted one in my collection :lol: (especially for such a good/classic album!)

The problems with Martha aren’t to do with her character but the fact she came after Rose. The Doctor’s infatuation with Rose means she doesn’t get her proper chance to shine - despite having to put up with a lot more (e.g. the Doctor turning human and walking the Earth in apocalyptic time again without the Doctor!). The only episode where she’s allowed to be a proper full time companion is 42! For episodes 1-6, it’s a just one trip thing then afterwards you have the Doctor being human, a Doctor-lite episode and then a three part finale where she leaves. Even in 42, she’s separated from the Doctor from the majority of the episode and gets cast off into a blazing sun!!

You do really hate the woman don't you. What's she ever done to you? Baffles me. I mean I disliked Ryan, Graham and have no time for Adam but wouldn't say I hate them like you do Martha. Saddens me in a way when she's doing what she sees as her best. Am sure she wouldn't KNOWINGLY make bad or wrong decisions about the Doctor as it could be relationship suicide.

Khalid has announced his third album ‘Everything is Changing’, which has been inspired by the impacts of the pandemic. The first single ‘New Normal’ is out now. KnULIl5GvkQ Adore almost everything he puts out, really love his voice in particular :wub: Admittedly this is more just ‘nice’ for me though, think it might take a few more listens to hit me.

It’s too hard but went with Captain Jack on the basis that he’s probably better in the leader role (Torchwood) than companion. I dunno, I’m trying to find any reason to vote for someone. On the other hand, STILL no one saying they’re voting Bill????

Got the Bastille picture disc and it was a lot easier than I experienced before - maybe because of the nice weather, or more likely the fact its a picture disc!! I think it came out as a proper vinyl in a Record Store Day a few years ago but didn’t want to miss the chance on getting it on vinyl in some form as it has some of my favourite songs on there.

Shook at this actually happening! Interesting but not surprised at them seemingly sticking with the dance direction - I didn’t know if they would be looking at more pop material for the album itself. I find it more odd that the album is titled after it, yet is left off the album!

The video for Psycho is so much fun! Not as immediately drawn to the song as much as John Hughes Movie - I don’t know how I feel about her voice on it. Still a lot of fun and she’s very likeable.

I adored Green Garden and enjoyed Overcome but I never really got into anything else or, at least, never gave it a chance. I saw a lot of buzz around Church Girl though, and she came across so well on the Table Manners podcast (I hadn’t realised she’d been dropped from her previous label), that I was eager to check it out and I’m so glad I did - the production is heavenly. Got Me is a massive highlight - a big pop moment that should really have a big push behind it. The whole album is so good, the sound really suits her and it feels like she really found her groove.

Wilf, more on the basis of screentime and the ‘companion’ role (which probably means I’m coming after Jackie next!!) I always forget Nardole is a companion but at least he had more of a character than the fam. I’d give anything though to get a an extra series of that TARDIS team which would have allowed Nardole to be a more ‘proper’ companion.

Yaz for me as well, same issues as Ryan & Graham but I feel there’s a bit more independence with her.

Shook at the diversity but I’ve still no doubt that Brent/Christian/Travis will align, they’ll be a Travis/Whitney showmance and all will make it to jury. I dare say I may actually watch from the start now, depending on how much I hate myself <3

Adam’s an easy one, given he was written to be the failed companion! The second choice is more difficult but unfortunately it has to be Ryan, just really lifeless as a character. It’s the issue with all of the ‘fam’ but I guess he represents it the best in that he never takes control of the situation like a companion should, he’s just ‘part’ of the story and essentially waits for the Doctor, or another de facto leader, to tell him what to do. tbh I always forget about Nardole as a companion so he’ll be coming up sooner than later on my votes
