I’m sure the US version also had cliffhangers every single episode as well? It’s become an integral part of the format :lol: It’ll be hard to beat Series 2 for me but perhaps more because it was my first experience of the show (I think? I can’t remember if I watched the first series straight beforehand or straight after!). I adored Tim and Georgina though. I did really enjoy this series overall though, some fantastic characters in there and lots of catfish which is what I perhaps cruelly enjoy. Despite all the talk at the beginning too of catfish catching, I’m glad they dropped that and focused on the actual connections because that should be what the show is about. There’s no point getting rid of someone purely for being a catfish when they would mark you first! As we’ve seen, being a real person doesn’t prevent them from lying as part of the game. Hashu/Syed was such a breath of fresh air, I adored Natalya and it was so refreshing to see a true and open gameplayer like Manrika on British TV. It was very commendable for Scott to be the first one in the franchise (that I’ve seen) to pull of the elderly catfish after what appeared to be many failed attempts! Also, good to see a geeky reality TV stan have a chance of playing with Vithun :lol: The clones twist was absolutely GENIUS and hilarious. I find it interesting that both Yolanda and Pippa/Joey did better as their forced catfishes :lol:

A reality TV show legend. She was never anything but herself each time she went into the Big Brother house. Many that came after tried to copy what made her so loved but she’s always be one of the ultimate reality show contestants. There’s a reason she was walked into the house on at least 6 occasions that I can think of! This will probably make more sense to those familiar with the US/Canada format but there’s something special about how she became such a fan favourite over in Canada as well despite not even really playing the game!

I’d be over the moon with any of Manrika, Hashu or Natalya! I’ve adored all three of them and they’ve each made the series. Three of my favourite reality show contestants of all time!

Manrika is playing the game exactly as it should be played. I’m not saying that she’s playing the perfect game but what she’s doing is the whole nature of the game. I think people don’t recognise that this is an actual game and not just another reality show. Not everyone can be an Andy as otherwise there’s no point in the whole concept of the show. The central part of the show is being fake, catfish or not, and getting as many players on your side! Aside from the clone twist, she’s made the series for me alongside Syed.

Find a way to measure when people are actually streaming an album. I remember Spotify used to do an album chart and I’m sure it never seemed as messy as the state of the current official chart.

I love that Natalya has driven such a wedge through the relationships. It’s often been hard to split up the OGs in this game so it’s good to see it mixed up this time round. I’m in two minds about Manrika, I’m largely rooting for her but I don’t get where her head was at with the Tally thing. She was saying she felt awful and it was a mistake yet didn’t do anything to rectify that and was actually the cause of Tally going, even taking away that she ranked her last. Tally was an easy vote/person on her side so I think it will go against her, especially as it makes her lose Gemma as well (where the non-reciprocal relationship was great for her game). I felt bad for Tally but I don’t think she ever fully got what the game was, she never focused on building those allies up. She had Manrika and Gemma but it didn’t appear that she pushed for anything further. It seemed she waited for people to come to her rather than going to them. Maybe the clone thing wore her down. Also, I didn’t appreciate the way she said ‘I have no interest in seeing Vithun’, I think the way she chose her pictures etc feels reminiscent of a ‘popular girl’ at school.

Hashu is easily my favourite in there at the moment, really fun and entertaining! Also liking Vithun, Billy and Manrika. I’m finding Natalya intriguing but I want her to get Felix to do something other than flirting! I feel it could be her downfall although she’ll probably benefit from Dot being an easy block when they’re both eligible.

Season 2 of the US Circle is seemingly coming on 14 April and UK Netflix is actually getting it on time this time! I didn’t realise they’d managed to film it. Enjoyed the first one, it was essentially the same as the original which was perfect as I hate the dramatic over the top editing that US reality shows have. The editing for The Circle is one of its greatest strengths. Think Sammie was my favourite overall. The only downside was how it was essentially .

Definitely can’t trust anyone! I feel coming out of that first episode that Davidson is being stitched up by her partner but maybe that’s what we’re meant to think :drama: Bit more of a low-key first episode than what we’re used to but I’m also glad it was largely centred around the new storyline rather than focusing on ‘H’.

Absolutely! I’ve listened to soooo much Florence over the past couple of weeks and fallen even deeper in love with her music! I feel I have SO many artists in my head that I’d love to see be given a chance :lol:

A great couple of album track discoveries (although Cannibal was a bunch of noises x), I was surprised at how the singles didn’t really hold up for me (never liked Blow though, especially with the Red Drips memories -_-), although Take It Off would have likely got a vote from me.

Yasss Katy! Definitely a perfect selection of choices from Kath. Was so happy to finally see I Wanna Be get some proper recognition! I think Miley could have easily won with some better album track picks! Some great single choices though, I was surprised at how often I voted for her.

Definitely happy with that, and that she won the first round! Happy to also turn round some let’s say ~not so big fans~ with some of the choices :wub:

Jessie :wub: :wub: Glad she could manage the top half, I feel I adore his discography more and more. SO many strong songs entered but so many more that could have also been entered. Was particularly great to see Midnight Caller get lots of love!

Ciara’s not really my type of thing but I’m sad I couldn’t get round to voting for her in one round as she was definitely close in a couple! Some strong album track rounds and 1 2 Step is a big highlight.
