  1. I was thrilled Jade managed to enter some of my favourite Beatles songs
  2. Demi is not really my kind of thing aside from a few exceptions (Cool for the Summer ). Body Say was excellent though, it must have passed me by on release.
  3. Gabrielle sent some fab entries too, adore her voice. Fallen Angel was a great discovery.
  4. Both were fighting an upwards battle but I loved nearly all of the entries sent by each! Cry Dancing was particularly one of my biggest discoveries from the contest. Desire should have been entered tho -_-

I agree with this, I don’t really have any standout faves which kind of makes it more enjoyable (definitely less stressful!) as I can just sit back and watch the two sides go after each other. Three big characters have definitely left first but there still seem to be a lot left in so hopefully there’s not a drop in gameplay. I’m most sad at Latoya leaving as I feel she had the most left in her from a game perspective but her error was trying to flip the vote so last minute without a solid basis for doing so. I’d be most happy to see Beth go. I’m glad there’s a power shift this week but I can certainly do without the ‘Let’s Go’ and ‘your boy’ from Kiefer, he also seems to have a defeatist attitude. Hoping the season can keep it up, certainly showing why Canada is better than the US version. I’m surprised there’s only 14 houseguests but at least it should avoid a triple eviction.
  6. I genuinely don’t feel they’ll have done much better! I’m sure it was Sweet Nothing that knocked Calvin out of one of the AF Idols. I don’t think a few that voted Cosmic Love would have voted You’ve Got the Love either - it’s not exactly seen as her best amongst fans. I think maybe Spectrum could have done better but probably by one place at most. Rabbit Heart or Shake It Out might have but then Florence wouldn’t have the medal positions for those rounds they were already entered in!
  7. omg one of only 5 voters to not vote Gwen  Feel like this round has shook things up a bit for the overall results! :o

Honestly more hyped for this than the Marvel shows  Been so looking forward to this since it was originally announced as part of the Disney+ launch! Monsters Inc is potentially my favourite Pixar film so really looking forward to being back in that world. I just hope it at least touches on Boo, one of the cruellest cliffhangers ever!! I’m still waiting in hope...

The first 10 minutes were absolutely stunning! I really liked the Bucky storyline too as I feel a show he’s the star off absolutely needs to continue exploring his past. The terrorist plot looks intriguing too, I just wish that Falcon’s storyline had continued to be a lot more focused on that. I think the mistake they’ve made is that these types of stories always have that family life to help ‘earth’ the story a bit more and create more peril for the hero but they’ve never really explored that with Falcon before and so are forced to introduce it now. I’m sure the sister and/or her family will be held hostage or something by the terrorists. I guess Wandavision’s couple of episodes were very introductory as well and ultimately very removed from everything that came after. It feels the same will happen here, although it feels odder with there being less episodes, especially as we’ve not seen Sharon Carter or Zemo yet.
  11. Katy B - Crying For No Reason Florence + the Machine - Cosmic Love Jessie Ware - Wildest Moments Gabrielle - Dreams Miley Cyrus - Midnight Sky Demi Lovato - Cool for the Summer The Beatles - Hey Jude Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For? Everything Everything - Distant Past Donna Summer - I Feel Love Ava Max - Sweet But Psycho Nina Nesbitt - Loyal to Me Kesha - TiK ToK Ciara - Like a Boy Think I swapped this around like 500 times, Gwen could easily have gone back in on the next reorder but I’ll just be here all day if I don’t submit now. A lot of them are on the same level for me so it’s more a case of what songs I personally go back to! It feels so wrong leaving I Feel Love out as I know how much of a gamechanger it is but... it is quite repetitive.

This twist is incredible, I particularly love Yolanda calling Tally Blue Tally and getting annoyed at her as if she’s the catfish  I need them both to stay in!

I’m sure that already happened in the second era
  14. National Anthem - Lana Del Rey!

  16. ROUND 8: For the Win COSMIC LOVE the stars, the moon, they have all been blown out, you left me in the dark With our final bow as the contest comes to an end, we conclude with the absolutely beautiful Cosmic Love. It feels the perfect song to end the contest with as it is regarded as one of her very best and, as the lyrics state, the stars and the moon are going out. In the closing moment, there's also the second best use of fireworks in a song as we celebrate the contest as a whole! The song closed off the Lungs era and heavily uses the harp and drums, both instruments used heavily across Florence's discography. It may not have smashed but I hope the beauty of the song shines out. 2EIeUlvHAiM

Yeh I agree that the first couple of episodes of The Circle are the worst as it’s all a bit awkward, it’s reliant on the bonds between the players and the alliances that start to develop! The first blocking is always just a roll of the dice. Saying that, the cast aren’t wowing me like previous series but we’ll see how it develops. Really interesting twist, which shows a lot of mileage in the format!, not show how well it will work but they’ll be a lot of fun that comes with it. I think they’re being quite dramatic as it’s been doing slightly better than the first couple of series. The first series performed quite badly but the second and celebrity one have performed quite average for the timeslot, nothing amazing though. Last night’s episode was higher than the Celebrity final but it’ll have been boosted by Bake Off. I imagine it does well on All4 and it’ll bring in a lot of younger viewers which helps with advertising. Plus they’ve sold the format to Netflix who have produced a few international versions which, pre-Covid, filmed at the same apartments so if that’s still going to happen, they’ll be saving/earning money from it which should in theory make series cheaper to make.

omg Florence would still do well tho!! and Younger Now is so good! and Honey! and Gabrielle’s cover! and 110% :cheeseblock: keep it!!!!!
  19. So deserved! Ready for Crying for No Reason to slay!
  20. Take it Off!
  21. Desire :cheeseblock:
  22. I think in this type of round, it'll be one of those songs that just misses out on people's votes! It's her biggest hit but not her most loved. Plus it'll be nice to send 8 songs that fully represent Florence, rather than sending a collaboration with Calvin.
  23. ROUND 7 RESULTS: 05 22 Florence + The Machine - Howl Definitely happy with that result, especially with everything being so close! It was an incredible Top 4 that would have been hard to beat! The final round is... the final round. Send a choice to win. I think this is harder for poor Florence as her biggest selling singles are a cover and a Calvin Harris remix which aren't really her most loved. I've already sent her most well known outside of those (Dog Days) and one of her most beloved songs (Queen of Peace) which definitely performed solidly but were faltering against the tougher competition. Soooo I'm going to play the joker! I'm thinking Cosmic Love always had this pencilled in for the final round as it is deeply loved amongst many fans (so there should be some guaranteed votes!) and the atmosphere of the song feels the perfect closer to the whole game with the lyrics and the fireworks going off towards the end. It always seems to do well in the Record of the Decade rounds against other big hitters so hopefully that can translate into this game! it's coming :cheeseblock:
  24. finally! so pleased that Jessie has won a round and with such an incredible song. also SO HAPPY that I Wanna Be got that deserved recognition! now can people actually vote for it when I keep nominating it for Record of the Decade
