ROUND 6: Free Choice QUEEN OF PEACE The damage is already done. Come on, is this what you want? Cause you're driving me away I'm so pleased that Queen of Peace is the entry for this round. It faces some stiff competition but it is an absolute monster of a song and resembles everything that is so perfect about How Big How Blue How Beautiful. The string instrumental intro lulls you into a false sense of security before the drums kick in and by the time the brass kicks in, we are taken on a true odyssey. This is one best played LOUD. I’m incredibly nervous but Queen of Peace is such a monster of a song, don’t let it down! :(

It’s definitely a fun bop, I’d much rather be sending songs of this nature (whether they’re successful or not) rather than the middle of the road Radio 2 friendly songs that leave no impact.

My favourite is Live and Let Die but that may be because as I said reality shows have ruined Let it Be for me!

It’s still on the basic side of things but at least we’re finally sending something with some energy (that isn’t novelty!) and that wouldn’t sound too out of place on Radio 1. It’s an improvement on My Last Breath and I’m always here for some brass! A nice party atmosphere to it as well. My favourite since Molly.

Loving this at the moment! I’ve liked her previous stuff but this is definitely a breakthrough moment. It reminds me of Gabrielle Aplin’s Dear Happy era.

I feel the endless reality show covers of Let It Be have really dampened it for me although it might be nice to reappraise it.

The latter two are probably safer but I'd love to see I Wanna Be entered, just to get it more appreciation! I don't mean to sabotage though :lol:

ROUND 5 RESULTS: 02 26 Florence + The Machine - Make Up Your Mind We've prevented out downward trajectory by getting our second best result of the game so far! I constantly doubt myself, and I was listening to songs on repeat and flitting between them, so genuinely thrilled when my instinct pays off :lol: Delighted to be so high with a bonus track. The next round is another Free Choice. It's a relief to me that I've virtually made up my mind () on these final three rounds and for this I was thinking Queen of Peace as the final choice from the How Big How Blue How Beautiful era. For those wanting a certain other song, I'll just say watch this space...

ROUND 5: Uptempo Album Track MAKE UP YOUR MIND Is it best to sip it slowly or drink it down in one I really couldn't make up my mind for this round so it's kind of poetic I chose this song. It was VERY close with Heartlines but sending one of the HBHBHB bonus tracks had been one of my hopes at the start of this and so this was my only chance. The second verse is a particular highlight of mine but I love how punchy it is throughout. I feel it's more of a 'poppier' Florence song so I hope that resonates with voters. H7bHGKWGzP0
