Looking forward to hearing the next Florinese/Florinan (?!) entry as 'New Americana' sounds great on first listen. Would have received big points from Desbuanda had the political establishment been formed a few weeks earlier (inconvenience of war and all that, you know yourself)!
Eek not thought of that before, let's go with Florinan! Glad you like it, our next entry is along similar lines so hopefully that bodes well. Florina are very excited about Desbuanda choosing to enter the contest and wish them luck with their first entry that we can't wait to hear!

Florina are overwhelmed to announce their first real success story in the form of Halsey's New Americana. For once, our success in the odds was followed through in the results and we secured our first Top 10 entry! We'd like to offer our huge thanks to everyone who supported the track. Will this just be a one-off or is it our breakthrough hit? Halsey personally led the Entry Committee to help choose our next entry and is confident that it will show Florina as the one to watch ~ Here's a little tease (a completely original idea :)) before the big unveiling on Sunday:

'Lights On' is actually going into 2011, so if you want, you can drop one of your (now 4) 2011 ones to accommodate Tightrope in as the replacement.
While I'm here, 'This Is The Life' is already in the top 35 for 2008 (I'm finding that a very tough year incidently, it's the one of mine with the shortest shortlist right now).
Can you remove The Black Keys then in 2011? I'll leave 2008 with two nominations.

My favourite has to be Little Mix - Don't Let Go (Love). I'd been supporting them beforehand anyway but this performance showed that they were in the show to win it for me. It was the first time I'd voted on any TV show for many years and, in fact, I've never done a paid vote since supporting them in the final! (The only time I've voted since was a free online vote for The Voice to make sure the right winner would be chosen for once; i voted for Christina-Marie so we all know how that ended up)

Seems so strange that this is back on Thursday :o I'm excited for it to dominate my summer once more!
Just had a thought, I wonder if the theme of game-players is due to the popularity of Dexter and, to a lesser extent, Aaron from BB12? I'm interested to see the characters that are put in and whether the theme will work. The premise sounds good but, with Channel 5, they always do and it never seems to be executed to the full potential!
