It does sound better in full, it is absolutely better than the majority of songs we’ve sent this century and I’m glad we’re sending a big upbeat pop song (with an actual performer…!). I just can’t get around it sounding like other recent pop entries that have tried and failed over the past few years. If Brooke couldn’t qualify, I don’t have high hopes for this!

I listened to Redcar once and even that was a struggle, although Rien Dire is a highlight. Was such a disappointment, particularly coming after the perfection of an EP that was La Vita Nuova. I’m sure he said around the time of Redcar that this was more commercial, so I am still intrigued. Definitely wouldn’t have expected one Madonna collab, let alone three! to be honest is an immediate step-up, I’m back in!

@1633515901030133761 Definitely Mae - the fact they’re easily able to sing along to it on first listen, and Greg’s starts singing ‘du’. Based on the clip, it does feel like something everyone thinks is a ‘Eurovision song’! It is very basic though, I can’t see it doing well at all. I think I’d have taken all of the other rumours over this. (also kinda think they’re doing with Mae what they did with Raye, all personality washed away in favour of dancepop songs.

I really love Birdy, she’s got so many beautiful songs and some bops (Keeping Your Head Up remains forever underrated!). Raincatchers feels really atmospheric, I can see it working well as a performance!

OK I did cave in and watch this and I’m very glad I did because I agree that it’s possibly the best of the US seasons. It’s funny that they labelled it Singles because it’s probably the one with the least forced relationships/flirting, I love that the romance essentially caused the downfall of . I think it really helped that they were a lot more genuine, likeable people this season, and less mean girls like Season 4. I think Brett & Xanthi were perfect to play Jennifer, who became an unexpected highlight. I don’t think the series would have worked as well if they were playing individually as themselves. I find it fascinating that Shubby was so trying to rally the newbies against the originals, when that was something he was so AGAINST in the first season. I remember that season was so much about all the originals against anything else.

Thanks ushting for all your hard work, amazing effort and I particularly loved the recap video which was very helpful!! (although we still don’t forgive and forget for that penultimate reveal x)
