Mollie King - TBA
Just in case the few facts on Popjustice weren't posted here ; She has a single deal for now that will quickly upgraded to full-on-360 deal if the single does not too bad. Apparently, it seems she has somewhat of a deal where all the songs she has recorded so far can be sold without she has much to say if the album plan doesn't work out. Which explains a lot, really. I'm hoping the meeting went just fine. I don't want to speculate for nothing, but she did post a "Don't worry, everything happen for a reason" image just after on Instagram...which is pretty much what you say to yourself after a failure to feel better. She seemed completely fine on Snapchat, though, so who knows. Also, technically the Max Martin rumors aren't confirmed, but I like to believe they are true. :kink:

Which Saturdays song are you listening to?
I don't even know how you can say that when DURING that chorus, you have Vanessa ad-libbing over her and sounding much stronger than her. Also screw you, you just made me listen to Missing You

Gentleman // Single Two
I didn't. The song wasn't penned as "Tinashe" back then, though. In fact, I wonder if it's actually really her? She sounds a bit different, no? If I remember correctly (the song got deleted sadly), it was penned as " Priscilla Renea", the singer-songwriter that wrote the song. I'm not 100% sure, though... Maybe a Tinasha stan can confirm it's her voice, lmao.

Gentleman // Single Two
LMAO, I just checked, it was literally posted on the previous page...by myself, lmao.

Gentleman // Single Two
Yes, it is. Pretty sure it leaked during Summer 2013? I quite like to listen to it everynow and then. The chorus is delivered with bit more 'sass/laid-back attitude' that was greatly needed in my opinion. On the other hand, I think our girls did better in the verses.

Get Weird: THE RATE - RESULTS
Great rate, guys! Still a shame about 'Lightning' missing the top 5, but whatever.

Which Saturdays song are you listening to?
What Are You Waiting For is so bleh now in 2016. I remember not really liking it when we first heard a snippet, then I went along when it was released, but I went completely off it after their poor-piss performances and the general generic-ness of the song. I mean, let's be honest. In terms of production, it's just an inferior Get Ready, Get Set from Xenomania...with a far less proper pop melody. It's supposed to be hooks after hooks, but it just isn't quite that, isn't it? I kinda wish Xenomania and the girls had resulted into something more...interesting. I'm not even talking about full-on experimental, but I don't know, just something a bit throwback, old-school, chill, I don't know. Think 'Girls Aloud' 'Control of the Knife' for example. --------------------- Currently listening to 'If This Is Love'. It's so underrated.

Mollie King
She had a shoot the other day for something exciting. Could be for the artwork of her single. But considering how shitty that look is, I hope it's just for a magazine photoshoot. https://www.instagram.com/p/BBkujsQOv_l/?taken-by=mollieking

Sats Split Inc - General Discussion Pt. 6
There seems to be even less energy and melody in that cover than it does on the original. Jesus Christ.

What About Us
The girls were in an obvious decline in 2012 (My Heart Takes Over, On Your Radar, 30 Days). Back in 2013, they gave everything they could to 'What About Us', from radio plugging to reality TV-show ; it succeeded. Then, we all know the story, they released 'Gentleman' and destroyed what they had just rebuilt. Now, they were technically back to the same place they were after '30 Days'. So the fact that 'Disco Love' managed that much radio support after 'Gentleman' is still rather impressive to me, instead of being "poor airplay". It's easy to say "It should have been supported more". You can say that for literally all of their singles but "Shitting You" ( ). That's a pretty normal thing to do because we're fans and all. But really, when it came down to radio producers and adding songs to their playlists, The Saturdays just weren't a priority anymore already after Gentleman, so the fact it was played with quite some longevity is, well, good luck.... Because that shouldn't have happened on paper. It's just ironic because people are saying "It should have been supported a lot more", but the way I see it , it's "It shouldn't have had that much support considering where they were at that time". At the end of the day, I guess it does speak volumes about how great of a song 'Disco Love' is.

What About Us
'Disco Love' could have had better support, that's for sure, but ya'll seem to forget it was basically the only recent single (that isn't What About Us) that was actually supported by Radio 1 effectively. (It was played by Radio 1 a lot more than My Heart Takes Over, 30 Days, Gentleman, Not Giving Up and What Are You Waiting For? were.) Pretty sure there were rumors going around about how they ditched their radio plugger sometime after 'Gentleman' because the budget was tight.

Vanessa White - Chapter One
Her material is just all rather ... bleh.

What About Us
I know what you mean, but it was slightly different, 'Ego' being a post-album single, meaning before impact week it couldn't really do anything but stand around the top 40. 'What About Us' being a lead single in the UK was obviously incredibly frontloaded.

Vote for Single 4!
If their previous campaigns (and recent general pop campaigns) are anything to go by, I honestly don't believe there will be more than 4 singles, and I'm already a bit sceptical about the fourth one. Because it's represents the idea of the album and because I think they could easily make it work as a cheap ass tour video, 'Weird People' would definitely make a good 4th single. It will gather to the same radio producers and executives that liked their previous singles from this era, so it's a smart choice. It's also a decent song. 'Lightning' is the superior song, and the production truly lends itself to a rapper if they ever feel like they need a feature, but I'm just not sure if radios would be interested in playing it, especially as a 4th single anyway. It doesn't have a crossover appeal either, although as I said, I still think it's the superior song of all the albumtracks left in terms of pop quality. 'Hair', 'Grown', 'A.D.I.D.A.S' are ridiculously shit, it would be a big mistake to release these. The ballads would actually make decent singles, but I just don't know if it's worth it after 'Secret Love Song'?

It's just soooo sooooo goooooooooooooood. I can't decide which part of the song is the least catchy. They are all hooks!
