Radio 1 weren't there for 'Not Giving Up', but were there for 'Disco Love' so I would have never released ANYTHING instead of 'Disco Love'. 'Gentleman', now that's another debate.

Their airplay was quite low as well for a song of that caliber and relative success. You would think that after a #3 peak on the official charts, they would have raised from their #14 radio peak, but instead, they plummeted down to #22!

I never considered it as a disappointment. In fact, I've always said how well it did to manage to sell 200k with a #29 airplay peak. The only reason OA/OS doesn't work in the UK is because you only have a few artists doing it. Contrary, in the US, that's pretty much how everyone does it. Thing is, radios cannot just f*** up their playlists system (A-list, B-list, etc) to give you more airplay because you've got a song that is being released this week while other acts on the A-list are waiting to get their plays (I forgot how much it is for each list, but they have to be played a certain amount of time each day or each week). It will forever be a tough thing to manage as long as not everyone is doing it.
  4. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU  Love ya'll

I've never said the opposite. Mollie's entire appeal is within her tone. It's always been the case. But how is "not getting powerhouse vocals" equals "struggle to sing a line" ?

Mollie's intro is definitely really interesting, especially live. I really can't picture any of the other girls doing it? Ina did say that Notorious was meant for Nicole, indeed. Although, at first, it had a "werewolf" theme. The demo is apparently out there (an insider heard it). I can't wait til it leaks!

Struggle to sing one line is a bit of a stretch... They were times when they were all a mess but her. The nice thing about going solo and Mollie writing a lot of her stuff is that she can actually make songs that are fit for her voice. Most of The Saturdays songs weren't even made for their strongest vocalists (Vanessa and Rochelle), so let alone Mollie which would get the short end of the stick most of the time. Anyhow! That's an amazing producer to work with. Surprised she snatched them, but then she does have a major label backing.

  9. Hopefully 'Missing A Melody' doesn't do too well. And thank you again James for doing all of this. :cheer:  December is when I'll be having a lot of my finals so I don't think I'll be up for hosting it, though :(

The Chuckie Edit is f***ING BALLS tho. I love it so much. It gives the song even more strenght, it's amazing.
  11. I don't venture out of the forum that much so I don't know you're doing, but I hope everything is fine Sean. ------ And amazing #1 Jimmy! Turn Myself In needs more love.
  12. Yes, I remember QuenRochSlays! Welcome back!

Literally their top 3 best single and that is like their best performance ever! 'Notorious' was MY jam, seriously. I was literally obsessed with it in 2011. I would be singing Mollie's intro every-f***ing-where and my friends were beyond pissed. Like some were probably closed to commit murder, that's how annoying I was with the constant singing.
  14. First, BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABEEEEEEEEEEE.  Second, like Zach said, where do you work and where can I apply?
  15. The video is great, though. Well, I mean, maybe not if you compare it to the big pop girls, but putting it aside the videos from The Saturdays, it isn't looking too cheap, is it? And she looks GORGEOUS. Wow. I'm still not thinking most of the song itself...BUT, I do think the video helps elevating the song a bit, so there's that.

  17. It must be hard for her, though, to get good writers without a proper label. I know her manager is basically the A&R of The Saturdays, so he probably knows how to get nice tracks for cheap, but still, she would need a budget, and I don't think she has one. I'm pretty sure she's only just releasing these things in the hope of having a label noticing her. Hopefully someones does and sign her!
  18. I started a new thread! :cheer: I thought it would be a good idea, especially since we had a bit of interview and announcement of a video coming this friday! So it's right here : http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=183923 http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=183923 http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=183923 http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=183923 http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=183923 http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=183923
  19. uLJlGHj8D7Y Vanessa's new solo song called 'Don't Wanne Be Your Lover' premiered today! The video is set to be released this Friday, so watch this space for that bad boy! http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/473706dontwannabeyourlover.png
  20. I would have said the same. It's really a feat that Little Mix managed to already sell that much. It shows they have a decent fanbase and they can connect with the British public to a certain extent!
  21. Maybe their budget is limited? I mean isn't Ellie pretty much a worldclass act by now? Little Mix managed to have a few success here and there overseas, but surely it isn't comparable. I'm guessing Ellie just has more money thrown at her and quite frankly, it's understandable.

I seriously love this album so much, this is pretty much all I've played the last few days with a bit of Little Mix here and there.
  23. 'Secret Love Song', obviously. A.D.I.D.A.S is just 'Love Me Like You' part 2 and it seems like that already didn't go down too well that much. I can see 'Lightning' being that minor generic hit as well.

What a ridiculously good album. Such a shame it seems to be underperforming, apparently? It's an amazing listen. I have the Target edition, so yes, it's a bit of a drag sometimes when you have about 25 songs, but there are still so many great songs that I couldn't really care. I think for what seems to be a "sell-out" album, she is still holding up a bit - which might be the problem of some songs. She's trying to get away from her original sound, but clearly doesn't want to alienate her fans so she keeps coming back to it, sometimes even within a same song. I don't mind, personally, but I can see why it would bother some people. Anyway, I hope it managed to sell in the long-term. It's a great album.
