The album is such a disappointing listen for me, maybe even more so after the great album that was 'Salute' :( It's such a shame, whereas sometimes, on their previous albums, I felt like the lyrics, production or vocals were at fault and some of the potentially good songs were let down by these, well on this one we pretty much have a bunch of well written, produced and sung shitty songs. I don't know what's worse between that and the other option. :( THAT BEING SAID. 'Secret Love Song' is absolutely gorgeous and surely that MUST be the next single? :heart: They sound so good on it. I do think Jason Derulo is a bit of stretch in terms of collaboration, at least when it comes to the girls, that being said, he works just fine on the song and I'm sure they can make something out of his name if/when they release it. I'll probably just keep 'Black Magic', 'Love Me Like You', 'Get Weird', 'Lightning' and 'Secret Love Song'.

She's filmed a video for a song called "I Don't Wanna Be Your Lover". Apparently.

'Disco Love' was a minor hit because Radio 1 just happened to fall in total love with the song itself, which happens sometimes. Definitely a fluke. I remember how it got the odd play here and there every week. At some point during the Not Giving Up "era", they were actually playing 'Disco Love' instead of it, etc, etc.

I'm so conflicted when it comes to Una, seriously. Like we all know, she's a bit cheesy and awkward at times, and that was fine, it's part of her charm, but when it comes to music I really don't know if she will find the right balance. She actually has a tone that was oddly a fit for their very dancey numbers, so it would be a shame if she were to bury herself in a competely ballad-midtempo-country-driven album. I like to think she will find a right balance between all of this and that she will keep in mind a bit of commercial appeal.

I know people like to picture Frankie as this sort of basic popstar releasing dance tunes, but she is actually the one I can imagine experimenting the most between all of the girls. Like I could picture her with a more pop-rock sound (like a mainstream Paramore or something) or some indie-light tunes... But in the end, it would be...shit. Like it wouldn't fit her voice, you know? That's how I picture it. (Think that feature she did back then with that pop rock group as well. Undercover Lover, I think?) You see that's why I'm fully behind Mollie because I know she will work around her voice and limited range and she will make it work.
