  1. 31. Here Standing 4er-SeC68Gg Score: 7.558 Highest Score: 10 x 1 (JSG) Lowest Score: 1 x 1 (Sean) The next to be eliminated is the track #2 of ‘Wordshaker’. This sweeping ballad was rumoured to be in line for a single release from Wordshaker after officially commissioned remixes found their way online. It was later added to the Headlines repressing, and performed on the accompanying tour. Usually branded as a ‘No Air’ rip-off, can we just all appreciate that amazing middle-8 with those out-of-this-world vocals from all of them, especially Mollie who sounds like f***ing God or something. gWqeotU7rGA
  2. 32. Not That Kinda Girl 8IWa1oKynD4 Score: 7.548 Highest Score: 10 x 3 (AdamAloud, Liam, Hurricane) Lowest Score: 2 x 1 (Tim) Our last b-side to leave us was ‘Flashback’ at #40, so it’s been a bit of a while, no? Sadly, our loss now is the AMAZING ‘Not That Kinda Girl’. It was released with “Notorious” in 2011 and was co-written by The Saturdays and fan favourite production team The Alias. This is actually a really amazing little pop track with a soothing chorus that each girl (bar Una it seams) really carries well. Check out this little acoustic performance they did once. The mix of their individual tones is just so lush. DBpbVoJu3Z4
  3. 33. Walking Through the Desert _sAMiVPYOa8 Score: 7.538 Highest Score: 10 x 3 (MikeSugafan, Sean, NickF1) Lowest Score: 1 x 1 (Joe) The first of the three new Finest Selection songs to leave is poor ‘Walking Through the Desert’. It was performed live on the Greatest Hits tour. I know a lot of you thought this should have been the single instead of “What Are You Waiting For?”, others thought ‘808’ was more suited and there are still some people who think that the A-side was actually rightfully chosen. In any case, what do people think of this one? Py5JY3h7CUQ
  4. 34. Lies nxadjRiUCu0 Score: 7.519 Highest Score: 10 x 4 (JohnKm, MikeSugafan, Martyn, Totto) Lowest Score: 4 x 1 (Tim) A Chasing Lights track, this was performed on The Work Tour. How great does Frankie sound on it? I should have given it a 10 for that verse alone. I regret now. What do you guys think of this brilliant little ambiant midtempo? JHxWTu02zCc
  5. 35. Just Can’t Get Enough pfGzWntCbxY Score: 7.519 Highest Score: 10 x 3 (AdamAloud, Ultraviolence, Totto) Lowest Score: -1 x 1 (NickF1) For the official 2009 Comic Relief single, The Saturdays were chosen to record their own version of this 1981 Depeche Mode song (fun fact : Vince Clarke from the band actually remixed “Issues” prior to this track even happening). It reached number two in the charts after an intense battle for the Number One spot in the midweeks - which was, in the end, lost to Flo Rida and his first hit “Right Round”. The single is certified Silver, and has sold over 285,000 copies in the UK, placing it tenth on the list of the best selling Comic Relief singles. There are two versions of the track, the video mix, which sounds more like the original ‘80s song, and the radio mix, which is more of a banger. pIBkKz_iPvo
  6. 36 (666). Missing You y_-UiAwEgbQ Score: 7.481 Highest Score: 11 x 1 (Martyn) Lowest Score: -1 x 1 (Cameron) (YASS CAMERON DRAG IT BABE!!!) So let’s talk about this next elimination. http://popcrush.com/files/2015/05/mariah-carey-i-dont-know-her.gif That’s enough. jICExt08qmU
  7. 37. Karma MavjtccS7RE Score: 7.442 Highest Score: 10 x 3 (Acidburn, Liam, JosephStyles) Lowest Score: 2 x 1 (Totto) The second Headlines track to get cut and sadly…it isn’t’Missing You’! Booooo. This little loud and agressive bop was written by Sats dream team Ina Wroldsen and Steve Mac, and was performed on the Headlines tour. The girls were shown rehearsing the rather violent choreography in one of their Behind the Headlines video diaries and Mollie, in particular, was clearly giving her all. uOX568rrpKI
  8. 38. Wish I Didn’t Know 7lEUHD1vOn4 Score: 7.404 Highest Score: 10 x 5 (Johnkm, AdamAloud, Tim, Cameron, Martyn) Lowest Score: 2 x 1 (Mackenzie) ‘On Your Radar’ seems to be taking some sort of a cull here, poor it! Here is The sixth On Your Radar track to go ; it was co-written by the girls, predominantly (or so it seems) Una and Mollie since they are the only ones you can hear on the demo that leaked a few years back. What do you guys think of this hearfelt ballad? It has managed a spectular amount of five 10s which means some of you sure do appreciate it! s6PdX9uWCig
  9. This one will hurt Lee a lot. ... Tho it does hurt me a bit as well :'( And I'm surprised Sean doesn't like this one! 39. Do What You Want With Me 0xeGxQN75gk Score: 7,365 Highest Score: 10 x 2 (Jonjo, Lee) Lowest Score: 3 x 1 (Sean) This track, taken from the girls fourth (third?) studio-album ‘On Your Radar’, is a thumping dance song which incorporates elements of dubstep, and has a spectacular uptempo drum ‘n bass finale. Producer Jaz Rogers behind the track said of it: “we really tried to push the boat with it, sonically, style-wise, edge-wise, and come up with something to extend who The Saturdays are”. It was performed on the All Fired Up! tour in 2011, although a rather pregnant Una had to sit this one out due to the particularly """racy""" routine which saw each girl straddling and grinding upon their male dancers. Also, you might remember the effect of the live auto-tune on their voices throughout the whole song……………… Yec_yoYb1AE
  10. 40. Flashback nej4sU4BSQM Score: 7,310 Highest Score: 10 x 2 (JSG, Totto) Lowest Score: 3 x 1 (Tim) Breaking into the top 40 is ‘Flashback’. The b-side to “Ego” was also the title track for the b-sides collection that came with the Finest Selection box set. It was co-written by the girls along with Hannah Robinson, who also wrote for the girls in the past with“I Can’t Wait” and “Why Me, Why Now”. I think it’s a bit overrated, to be honest. But how great do Frankie and Una sound?

YASSSSSSSSSS. Gimme that flop hit single QUEEN.
  12. Either that, or I could see her creating a group and managing them somehow?????
  13. Forever Is Over got three 10s. (JosephStyles, Hurricane, Totto)
  14. 51. Not Good Enough uMrKr8XP7CI Score: 6,654 Highest Score: 10 x 1 (Totto) Lowest Score: 3,5 x 1 (JSG) Our fourth track leaving from 'Wordshaker' is 'Not Good Enough'. Penned by Ina Wroldsen, it's essentially famous for having a few grammar mistakes here and there. The song does seem to divide the fans quite a lot. Either people think it's, well erm, not good enough, or they love it a lot. I actually think it's very decent and how could anyone resist that lovely middle-8? It's amazing! That was the last one for today guys! THANK YOU!
  15. Last one before I bow out. I can say that it's from their 2nd album! Any predictions, guesses?
  16. 52. The Way You Watch Me iLcVWLS5NBg Score: 6,635 Highest Score: 10 x 2 (Totto, Hurricane) Lowest Score: 0 x 1 (Mackenzie) On Your Radar’s third track to leave, the album version of this features Gym Class Hero Travie McCoy, but the obviously superior ‘Sats-only’ edit was released as a pre-order exclusive bonus track to the “30 Days” single on iTunes, and contains a whole different verse from Vanessa in place of Travie’s. In The Making of On Your Radar the girls described the song as fun, young, flirty and playful, and one to play on a road trip with the windows down. They performed it on the All Fired Up! tour, and it was at one point going to be the fourth single from the album. WEy86cqSmjc KBuiNfk2xI0
  17. 53. So Stupid _Urdfb0BBPg Score: 6,548 Highest Score: 10 x 2 (JosephStyles, Tim) Lowest Score: 0 x 1 (Lee) Following the 'Work' b-side is the first b-side from On Your Radar to go, and this one came with the “My Heart Takes Over” single released in November 2011. I have a strange relationship with it. The mixing is amongst their absolute very worst. It's wrong in every single way and it doesn't help that the the production is quite frankly shit, but the lyrics aren't bad and the song itself is catchy. What a shame. I know it's only a b-side, but considering how well produced the two other b-sides from that era were, 'So Stupid' just comes across as very disappointing.
  18. 54. Unofficial 5bO95Waaqfo Score: 6,524 Highest Score: 10 x 4 (Mackenzie, JSG, MikeSugafan, Totto) Lowest Score: 3 x 1 (April) Written and recorded by Vanessa before she became a Saturday, this was originally titled “Artificial Love”. The track was then later picked off the cutting room floor and reworked from a dusky acoustic number into a nice little piano-driven ditty and released as the b-side to “Work” in 2009. I actually very much like this new version of it and thinks it's amongst their best b-sides. What do you guys think? j979_bDwby4
  19. Headlines! loses its first track here and now... ... Lalalalalalalalalalalala.... If you wanted a diamond, what did you settle for a rock? ... Oh I miss missing you.... 55. Died In Your Eyes NljuL_ivKjE Score: 6,519 Highest Score: 11 x 2 (Johnkm, MikeSugafan) Lowest Score: -1 x 1 (Martyn) The first song from the Headlines mini-album to leave us, this is a cover of a song by someone called Kristinia DeBarge.... which no one here has probably heard about. This tender ballad was performed on the Headlines tour, and at their AOL Music acoustic session and is, in my opinion, definitely not as bad as this average would make you assume. What a shame. It's a actually a very decent and heartfelt ballad with really convincing vocals from at least four of them. Td2NvOFygC8 hFVIulzygVs
  20. I was so surprised ....... and shocked.... ... and I wondered too... Did you get the results on the radio? 56. On The Radio Fkd_3fHVllI Score: 6,500 Highest Score: 10 x 1 (Totto) Lowest Score: 0 x 1 (Zach) The last b-side from 'Disco Love' leaves us at #56 spot. That's almost 20 places better than 'On The Radio' sister did when it landed at #75... 'On The Radio' is, as we all know it, a proper classic from diva Donna Summer released in 1979. This can actually be heard on the radio ( :teresa: ), in the Volkswagen at the beginning of the “Disco Love” video. The Sats also performed it live at the G-A-Y nightclub in London to celebrate the single release. 6ocqqyyKoAM
  21. In comparison, you gave 'I Say Ok' a 6,5!
  22. This one is a bit ridiculous. .... It's from ON YOUR RADAR! ... THE WAY IT WATCHES ME..... ... I've had enough of it, BABY I SAY OK . 57. I Say Ok m6Pnlucvzf0 Score: 6,500 Highest Score: 9,5 x 2 (Jonjo, JSG) Lowest Score: 3 x 1 (Sean) You can't really make of a middle-of-the-road sort of song than 'I Say Ok', can't you? Listed as a bonustrack from the girls' fourth (third) studio album "On Your Radar" at first, it seems to be part of the Standard edition now. Anyway, 'I Say Ok' remains what it is, a forgetable bop that people can't really like that much (not even a single 10!), but that people can't really hate either (The lowest score was a 3 from Sean and had in general quite a few 5-7 scores). Are you guys pissed this one managed to beat one of your faves? The next one also has a 6,5 average! Can you guess which one it is?

I think you're reading too much into it. She said, clear and firm, that they will get back in the studio together....Which is about the same tune since the break. The only thing that doesn't seem so certain is a tour...which makes sense considering most of their venues last time didn't even sold out.
  24. Hmmmmmmm True. http://i55.tinypic.com/23r4q6p.gif
  25. Okay so this one really HURTS me... ... Can you guess which one it is? ... It's a b-side. It's also a cover.... It's from the first era! And I'm BEGGIN for this to be a nightmare.... 58. Beggin PdxKbNmJIEQ Score: 6,476 Highest Score: 10 x 1 (Hurricane) Lowest Score: 3 x 1 (Martyn) Here comes another b-side of the girls. This time, it's from their first era 'Chasing Lights'. Released along 'Issues' in January 2009, the girls actually performed this earlier as part of their Radio Live Lounge performance of 'Up' in October 2008. Frankie was absent during the performance, but the group managed to perform both their hit single 'Up' and this classic with a lot of class and style. Little fun fact, "Beggin'" was popularized by The Four Seasons in 1967, but it's only in 2007 that the song received new popularity when it was remixed by the French DJ Pilooski and then covered by the Norwegian hip-hop band Madcon. I think the girls' version has nothing to be ashamed about. Vanessa kills it! oyC1TNuBGr4
