Mollie King - Strictly Come Dancing Discussion
I mean, 'Subeme La Radio' is a bop in itself, but I get it. Funnily enough, they gave Susan a Little Mix song this week. Strategy-wise, I don't think Mollie needs those. Being in a pop band and being partnered with the youngest pro in the competition, she's already appealing to the much younger audience of the show. So it's nice that she's getting classic (and older) songs that can appeal to a older generation that might not be looking at her otherwise.

Mollie King - Strictly Come Dancing Discussion
My biggest complaint is that it's hard to properly make your mark on the competition (or at least, the public!) with a Ballroom number - which I think is a shame (I usually prefer those as I find them beautiful). Also, this week was the perfect moment for her to set herself apart, and Week 5 or 6 is a bit too late to do so... Gemma has been extremely lucky and I think that's why she will get a place in the top 4 and Mollie won't. Gemma had a Charleston during Movie Week and hid the fact she couldn't do swivel with a high-performance value, and a gimmick (Baloo and all) and it really gave her traction that week, and she followed that with a good and intense Paso Doble. It was the perfect one-two punch. Mollie followed a weird Cersei-in-a-country-outfit tribute with a mild Salsa. :( Look, I'm hoping the Viennese Waltz is beautiful and she gets a good score, but I'm not getting my hopes too high and I have definitely adjusted my expectations now.

Not 100% sure, but I think she is signed to a modelling agency...which is enough to be considered a model, I suppose. Mollie gets a lot of traction on YouTube, she's usually in the top half of the most watched performances, even with Ballroom which is surprising (Latin are always MUCH popular). But, somehow, when BBC Strictly posts her performances on Twitter or Facebook, she's usually in the second half - in fact, quite near the bottom most of the times. So it's quite hard to gauge her popularity properly. ( I can only suggest that everyone takes the time to like and reblog/share her performances if you guys have a Twitter and Facebook account :cheer: ). Youtube Views Week 1: 3rd (Latin) Week 2: 6th (Ballroom) Week 3: 6th (Ballroom) Week 4: 4th (Latin) (but could go 3rd as she's up against Jonnie's Ballroom number) I do want to point out that Charlotte has managed to be higher than her on Week 2 and 3 based purely on the total wreck her performances were. Now she's out of the competition, so that shouldn't happen anymore. Next week Mollie has a Viennese Waltz. It could go both ways. Either it's a tad sterile, so it gets something like 27 to 31 and doesn't get much traction on YouTube because it's too 'simple', or she does a truly beautiful and classy number that gets her a good score (32-36) and might give her a lot of views despite the fact that it's Ballroom.

Mollie King - Strictly Come Dancing Discussion
I still think this was the week to really make a mark on the show and she missed her chance. -_- It's a bit scary because some of the dances she will have to do in the upcoming weeks are quite a bit tricky.... Charleston could be a challenge for her (unless she gets it for Halloween - so maybe just like Gemma during Movie Week, her lack of technique will be hidden by the performance value), hips action was lacking in her Salsa, so I think she will struggle with the Cha Cha as well. The Samba is a dance everyone fears for some reason. (As far as Latin go, I think she might have a decent Rumba in her. Argentine Tango too. ) The good thing is that her remaining Ballroom could be good : Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot...and Possibly Quickstep, I'm not sure yet how she will perform in that one.

Hmm Davood is a goner, let's be real. Jonnie and Gemma are the ones that are stealing the "journey" angle from her. She really needs to set herself apart from the middlers. It's hard to know whether or not she's getting another Latin or Ballroom next week. It could go either way. I think she will be much better at Ballroom, so hopefully this is it.

Strictly Come Dancing 2017
The spoiler is out, by the way. All those late-night pimp slots and overscoring makes sense now...Someone wasn't doing as well on the voting, it seems... And so, the bottom two.... is.... Who is out from this bottom 2, you say? Click on this, but only if you can't wait until tomorrow...

Mollie King - Strictly Come Dancing Discussion
Mollie found herself at the second half of the leaderboard today (well she could have been on the first half, but she had the same score as Debbie, and Debbie got the last place on the first half of the leaderboard). This is quite worrying. There are a lot of ties on the leaderboard this week as well.

SWaNTenB9xA It sounds different, and I like that (I find it more interesting than the Xenomania remix), but I'm not quite sure it works.

Mollie King - Strictly Come Dancing Discussion
We saw a lil' bit of her Salsa on ITT today. :cheer: The armography looks great. Mollie right at home with that  Get that Sats experience on the dancefloor  Hips looked great, but she totally forgot to place her feet, so footwork was not even decent. It was only Tuesday's training so it's fine, but hopefully that doesn't happen on Saturday, as she could have a little moment there with a Salsa, especially if it's towards the end of the show. :)

ANYWHERE WITH YOU
It DOES sound like a Katy Perry demo, though... Doesn't mean it's bad. I rather like it. It definitely was one of the best offerings from LFTW, albumtracks-wise.

Mollie King - Strictly Come Dancing Discussion
Hmm, you just can't compare Frankie to Mollie... Frankie started at the top of the leaderboard right away, she never had (literally) less than a 8 from Len and Bruno. And Darcey scored higher than 8 from week 3 onwards as well. The lowest Craig could give to her for "her worst dance ever" was a 7... She was the first to get a "fake" 10 and a first official 10. Frankie was just doing consistently well, bar like one or two weeks near the middle-end. And she remained one of the favorites from the bookies to win this, especially at the beginning (as she started at the top of the leaderboard). You could argue Frankie was what Aston is at the moment (which is why I'm not sure he will win, lmao  ) Mollie is in a totally different situation. She's also a bit unlucky as, from what I can read, people rather hate AJ as they find him full of himself and apparently it's been tainting their appreciation of Mollie. Frankie was luckier as Kevin has a huge fanbase somehow. I'm not saying Mollie is necessary gonna be eliminated in the early weeks, but she definitely has it harder than Frankie to begin with, and even harder now since the competition is rather tough. The good thing she has going for her is that Shirley, head judge, and thus the one deciding who stays in case of a tie, seems to be a biiiig fan of Mollie, so if Mollie finds herself in a bottom 2 against someone who isn't a clear contender, I think she could get out of it pretty safely.

Sadly no, I would say this is actually one of the strongest line-up, potential-wise. Debbie, Alexandra, Aston are all extremely good, and very early on. People like Joe, Davood and Gemma can all give Mollie a run for her money, even if I believe that on a pure technical point, she's above all of those (and WAS better than those on Saturday night, but she was undermarked). Jonnie is a paraolympic athlete that is truly learning to dance so he can snatch a beautiful "journey" story. That's just a whole lot of contenders. Hopefully people vote for Mollie and keep her through long enough so a few of those get eliminated and she snatches their votes.

DM her and ask her to promote her performances on Strictly a bit more, xoxo

Mollie's PR team. They do get along extremely well, so I'm not surprised Lee would see something like this between them. Not convinced just yet, personally.

Mollie King - Strictly Come Dancing Discussion
Totaly forgot to mention it, but there are also no ties in the leaderboard this week, meaning Mollie's pretty much safe as I can't see the people on the bottom of the leaderboard managing enough votes to put themselves above her. :cheer:

Mollie King - Strictly Come Dancing Discussion
Mollie did amazingly well today. Sadly she was like 3rd to go, and the scores got a lot more "gentle" by the end of the show as they usually always do for the decent-to-good dancers (as long as you don't make too many mistakes), so found herself on the 5th place, but that's very good. She's slowly raising up. K0Tiuftytik

Mollie King - Hair Down
Yeah, she really can't do both, not anymore at least as they usually only have 4 days to rehearse routines now and Mollie (who admitted herself that she was extremely slow to pick things up) look like she really needs all the time she can get. I remember Frankie struggling a lot during the weeks the group had activities. :/

Mollie King - Strictly Come Dancing Discussion
Yes Jonnie could 100% steal the "journey" agenda from Mollie...and quite frankly, it would probably be much better for him, considering his background. That being said, I could still see him being in a bottom 2 with a contender, and thus getting eliminated. If he does and Mollie's still in, she can work the journey angle as Aston, Alexandra and Debbie have all peaked a bit too soon to go for that angle. Shirley (head judge, and thus final vote) seems to think Mollie has got PLENTY of potential she can tap into, so if Mollie ever finds herself in the bottom 2 against the likes of Davood, Gemma and Joe, I can definitely picture Shirley saving Mollie over them. Now, obviously, against a contender (especially someone like Alexandra), there's no competition...

Mollie King - Strictly Come Dancing Discussion
I'm not sure if stiff is the right word, as her legs action is genuinely fluid/good (0:09 to 0:16 - if her legs were stiff, she wouldn't be able to do that), but she's rather tense in her upper body. Arms, shoulders, even hands lmao. The neck looks good, surprisingly. She's most likely going back to Latin this week, so I'm a bit scared for her as her Jive didn't go down too well with the judges. I think she would do the Paso Doble, Argentine Tango and the Rumba rather well, so I'm hoping they come much much later in the competition, as I think they could be dealbreakers for her at the right time. With that in mind, it might be a good idea to get the Salsa and Samba out as fast as possible?

Strictly Come Dancing 2017
- Alexandra was absolutely outstanding. Just give her the glitterball already! She has this in the bag. (I didn't actually love the routine in itself that much (a bit over packed, for a Paso), but GOD, did she deliver?! Amazing. I can't wait for next week. - Davood keeps on getting overscored. Funny how that illegal lift didn't quite as matter, huh... - Same for Susan. I know she's fun and adorable, and all, but it had no Swivel! COME ON. In a Charleston?! - Gemma was cute, but the fact that she scored two marks higher than Alexandra's Waltz just shows how much Alexandra was undermarked last week I suppose. It was alright, but I find her quite forgetable. She's lucky she has Alijaz, he will take her far as he possibly can. - I felt so bad for Charlotte throughout her whole dance. It literally lost its energy from the fifth second, so it was just painful to watch. - Jonnie's Jive was great, wasn't it? - Joe's Tango was poor. In fact, maybe slightly overscored (like...from one mark, so not a big deal lmao). - Aston's Salsa was...surprisingly...not as good as I expected? Still amazing, and I don't think it was overscored or anything, but I would have given this a 32 even if it had happened in Week 5 or 6. Janette was great, sure, but Aston was very much only a 32. - I've done a total 180 on Debbie, it's so weird... But her personality puts me off so much. She needs to tone it down, she's so cringe. - A 4 for Mollie's Tango is ridiculous, even with an illegal lift in mind. Does that mean he would have originally scored this a 5 only? Or did he literally removed 2 to 3 points for a single illegal lift? I know they have rules, which the dancers have to respect, but it was hardly like AJ throwed her around his head for a spin or six, he just lifted her off the ground to swipe her a bit further down the dancefloor. It's a shame as it was probably one of my favorite moments of the routine. I'm not trying to find her excuses, nor to blame AJ for everything, but I do feel like someone a bit more mature and experienced would have understood Mollie's weaknesses a bit better during Week 1 and would have done a routine that is suited to her, and obviously, this week, wouldn't have put a lift in a Tango. They can only get better and up from here on now, which is good as well, but it's really frustrating.
