  1. I think it's such a Blurred Lines rip-off, and I'm not even fussed on Blurred Lines so this is just...
  2. ALBUM RATE & REVIEW: 01. Not Giving Up By far the best song on the album and currently neck and neck with All Fired Up for the best Sats song ever, we'll have to see how well it holds up in the future (because All Fired Up still sounds amazing)! Every line is a hook and the melancholic synths/tones really inflate the aura of the song. Also one thing I can't help but love is those vocals from Frankie and Mollie, they sound so strong! A VERY VERY VERY small criticism...this song needs to be longer, way longer. 02. What About Us (feat. Sean Paul) What can I say, the song that generated so much buzz for a our beloved five some and boosted their profile SOOO much (only to be killed later :L). A very well deserved number one, the hook infused song and its Sean Paul feature to this day remain one of the catchiest, coolest and loveable songs of all time. 03. Anywhere With You Upon first hearing this, I though "wow The Jam really aren't good at producing vocals at all are they?" and therefore the so g became 'meh' from the instant I heard it. However as I've continued to listen to the previews Anywhere With You has just got better and better to finally slot in my Top Three. It's very Katy Perry reminiscent sounding and Frankie's (short but amazing) Pre-choruses are delectable. 04. Gentleman A guilty pleasure I'm not ashamed to admit I LOVE. This COMPLETELY underrated song still has a place in my personal Top Five due to its shear ballsiness and hilarity. The "so hard for a girl to find" hook is constantly in my head and the song is just so cool and funky and also proves how diverse the girls can be. 05. Lease My Love Rounding off the Top Five is the brilliant Lease My Love. After being obsessed with the demo for weeks on end, the finished version of this track underwhelmed me a lot, but I thought "I'm NOT GIVING UP on this track just yet" and it soon managed to spark. Unusually I'm quite fond of Frankie's robo "YUUH CAN'T LEEZ MAH LUFF" at the start and as ever Rochelle shows us how it's done with her powerhouse belting during the empowering chorus. 06. Disco Love "Oh is it love that's in the air?" Vanessa asks whilst singing over a Hey Porsche reminiscent beat. It's funky old school pure pop vibe is really what keeps me coming back to Disco Love. Mollie of course is the tracks shine, with her cute and impressive vocal this some belongs to her. Although I have to criticise the lack of Frankie, I was not a very happy stan upon the first play. 07. Leave A Light On "A real lighters-in-the-air moment" said Una, clearly exaggerating. Although the verses are a tad boring and Vanessa does seem to be whaling on the track, the chorus is utter perfection and what really warmed me to this song is Rochelle's undeniable "Cus I'm coming hoooooome". Una seems to steal most of the limelight on this but I do hope Frankie can sneak a line or two during the middle-8. 08. Somebody Else's Life Quite an unpopular opinion having this song in my Top Ten but that chorus though... The verses are bazar production wise and why does Frankie sound like a duck? These girls can sing I wish producers would leave there voices alone! Anyway over time I've grown to embrace the sound of the track and now appreciate its randomness and fully accept that it's a brilliant pop track. 09. You Don't Have The Right Am I the only one who LOVES Una's voice on this and thinks that Frankie sounds like she recorded each one of her words individually? Obviously i LOVE Frankie but her voice doesn't impress me on this song, Una's however melts me. I don't care how much tuning was on her voice, they way she delivered her lines was just PERF-EC-TION. Even though its beautiful and Rochelle and Mollie sound fantastic the one thing this song is lacking is...a proper melody unfortunately. 10. Don't Let Me Dance Alone A very sassy track with a catchy chorus which I adore but the thing that really gets me with this track is Frankie's "these bloody heels are killing me". Amazing! Although there's not much wrong with the song itself its the FAR TOO over-produced vocals that drag it down and the unnecessary need to violate Una and yet again Frankie's voices with auto-tune. Aside from that I quite like it. 11. 30 Days Quite odd seeing this on the album although I suppose It needed to go somewhere! It's still a good song and does get trash talked a lot but at the end of the day it's still as a good a pop song as many out there and I still love the famous potato-in-a-bin sound! 12. Problem With Love Finally the R&B banger! The verses on this song are great and i love Rochelle's voice but the chorus is such a non-event up until Vanessa's amazing "gone, gone, gone...". Probably one I listen to the least but considering its the worst on the album, I'd say the girls have done a stellar job. 8. Anybody know where this is on iTunes (EP and Single)? My LivePopBars is down.
  9. Alan Carr averages between 1.5-2.5 million so if we could get a 3m rating that would be great! An ideal promo schedule would be: Sat 21st Sep - Stepping Out Fri 4th Oct - Alan Carr: Chatty Man Sun 6th Oct - Strictly Come Dancing: The Results Mon 7th Oct - This Morning Tue/Wed 8/9th Oct - Radio Visits (Kiss Fm, Radio 1, Capital etc) Fri 11th Oct - Daybreak Sat 12th Oct - Surprise Surprise Sun 13th Oct - BBC Radio 1 Interview (During Top 40 show).
  10. +05 Lady Gaga - Applause +04 Katy Perry - Roar +03 Drake Ft. Majid Jordan - Hold On (We're Going Home) +02 Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop +01 Lana Del Rey & Cedric Gervais - Summertime Sadness -01 Ellie Goulding - Burn -02 OneRepublic - Counting Stars -03 Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Ft. 11. We also have to take into consideration that album sales are MUCH lower this time of year than they were when On Your Radar was released. Right now you'd only need to sell around 3k-4k to make Top 40, mid November yous need at least 10k if not 15k!

  15. You Me At Six are back with a long awaited single sure to please their fans, but will it please the general public as well? Personally I think Lived A Lie is one of their very best, very radio friendly, fun and quite commercial. After being on sale 14 hours it has already managed to go to #2 on iTunes, but as you may already know You Me At Six have a very large fan base and are extremely front loaded. Will it do a Do I Wanna Know and fall too fast to debut high during week or will it hold up securing big sales and the bands first Top 10 hit let alone Top 20! They have previously come very close to debuting Top 20 beforehand, Rescue Me (feat. Chiddy Bang) peaked at #21 and The Swarm debuted at #22 but stuck around for a while. How will this fair? They're biggest hit yet? VxldtR106Sg My prediction is that it'll hold up in the Top 10 until Thursday before falling low Top 20 and it'll officially peak at #14/#15 withsales of around 15,000-20,000 on Sunday, I hope I'm wrong because I'd love this to be a big hit for them.

  25. It features Priscilla Renea who wrote 'Gentleman' for The Saturdays. I really hope this album can do well as she has her own sound and isn't another generic trend chasing Selena, so deserves credibility and success. I predict - #14 I want it to be - #3
