  1. +5 Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith - La La La +4 John Newman - Love Me Again +3 Passenger - Let Her Go +2 Avicii - Wake Me Up (the lack of credit for Aloe Blacc on this is annoying me slightly) +1 Icona Pop feat. Charli XCX - I Love It -1 Selena Gomez - Come & Get It -2 Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash & John Martin - Reload -3 Robin Thicke feat. TI & Pharrell - Blurred Lines -4 Breach - Jack -5 will.i.am - Bang Bang I don't understand the hate Lawson get on here, there are far worse out there :(
  2. Passenger's gone back up to 6? What's brought this on? Anyway, Let Her Go should get a 13th(?) week in the top 10 which is pretty impressive for a song which didn't reach number 1. Also, I believe so far this decade, no song has had 13 or more weeks top 10 and not gone on to sell a million. Discounting Diamonds, which had 14 weeks, but is likely to reach a million in a few months! :P
  3. Elton John's two million sellers are from different years as well (unless I'm missing one somewhere but I don't see more than two) - in fact they're about 20 years apart! :o
  4. Maybe someone should just ask him? Has this been tried yet? Michael, could you possibly stop posting about P!nk and Justin Timberlake now? We understand that you don't like them, but your posts are getting very repetitive and they don't really add anything to the conversation. Also, there is a hate topic where you can post about them to your heart's content! No hard feelings :)
  5. I don't really like it when remixes take away from the popularity of the original of a song, and in the case of Spectrum I find it sad that barely anyone bought the original (I was one of the few who did because as well as not liking remixes, I thought it was better all around). However, it was nice that it got Florence + the Machine a number 1 single even if it did need the help of Calvin Harris. I'd say I feel the same about this, although it won't do as well as Spectrum, but again, if it sells well for Lana Del Rey I'll be pleased anyway, especially seeing as I liked this song about a year ago and it would be great to see it doing well. I'll predict top 10 but it could be lower.
  6. The thing is, Daft Punk actually confirmed that they had made a video a couple of months ago, so what is going on? I'd post the link but I don't think it will let me.

  8. 10 Chase & Status 0.3657 19 Daft Punk 0.2308 26 Daft Punk 0.1697 Total: 0.4005 Daft Punk could still be top 10 this week - interesting seeing how close they were to dropping out last week :o
  9. Is it too early to be thinking Ho Hey could be a million seller? That'd be a bit of upset, especially when Chasing Cars has been waiting 7 years to become the million seller with the lowest peak, and then right after it gets there Ho Hey could take that away  (I do love Snow Patrol for the record)
  10. +5 Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith - La La La +4 John Newman - Love Me Again +3 Daft Punk feat. Pharrell Williams - Get Lucky +2 Passenger - Let Her Go +1 Icona Pop feat. 11. Considering it was a single pre-order and their sales will be mostly fanbase I'd say if Lawson were going to number 1 they'd already be there by now. Still, looks like they could well be the highest new entry seeing as their EP is higher than Ingrosso's.

  13. Seeing as sales at the top are finally going to be going back to being pretty average next week, maybe one of the new releases can do better than expected and get there? I'd love for Lawson to do it (despite the annoying B.o.B feature) but can't really see that happening. What was their best first-week sale to date? Probably about 40k? I think they'll do more this time but doubt it will be enough to beat Robin Thicke. On the other hand, if Blurred Lines returns to number 1 it will be one of the very few singles to have separate spells at the top with more than one other song in between!
  14. I hadn't heard of this until today, when the tracklist for Now 85 was revealed and this is on it. Have to say it was a bit of a shock, usually when a song gets put on a Now album when the tracklist is announced before its release, it's a single which has a lot of hype around it, but I haven't noticed any for this. It looks like it will do well though, if they've put it on the tracklist!
  15. Laura Palmer is going to be one of the unluckiest songs not to make the top 40 - it's been hovering around it for ages and has got so close, but I just get the impression its chance is up. You never know though...
  16. Daft Punk may actually be out of the top 10 this week, but on sales high enough to normally be top 5. To be honest, I'm not that worried about the song getting loads of weeks in the top 10 as long as it sells loads (which it has).
  17. I really hope it's not to do with combining streaming - not even sure how that would work anyway. I like the whole "if this song sold 200 more copies it would've been top 10" and so on, having a sales based chart is more interesting in my opinion, even if sales end up small in the future! In any case, I don't think they're going to reach that point just yet - especially after the last few weeks when sales have been so high! I agree that it's probably announcing Get Lucky to have passed a million. :) Edit: Or maybe it could be something to do with banning fake versions of songs from the chart (ie cover versions released before the original?)... That could be wishful thinking.
  18. Frank Turner in the top 40! :o It's interesting that this is doing better than Recovery for him as a post-album single, but then again it is 59p. Really hope it can become his second top 40 hit (and peak at higher than number 40 to become his highest peaking single too!)

Bleep test for number 1! :D
  20. I still think there's a good chance that the Wanted could be number 3 on Sunday, with pre-orders and EP sales, which will.i.am doesn't have. It all depends how quickly they fall. They certainly won't be lower than #4! ;)
  21. Icona Pop 2 This seems to be gaining faster and faster, pretty sure it'll be number 1 by late morning.

It would appear that way, but it's slightly worrying how at about 11am Kodaline were 1 and 5 and J Cole was number 6, and he's risen incredibly quickly. You just never know, still, I agree that Kodaline should be much bigger physical sellers.

Dammit, when Kodaline got to number 1 I was really happy, and now it's been taken away only an hour or two later! :(
