I think it's mainly because despite her attitude, she at least released decent singles that sounded like hits before. Now she either doesn't care about success any more or she's just being lazy - FourFiveSeconds has done well on name alone, it hardly sounds massive, and the others are just average. It doesn't really bother me whether she does well as she hasn't released anything I've liked from the last two albums and this one doesn't look to be any different, but it is annoying how much potential is being wasted, she could easily still be at the peak of her career if she actually bothered with it.

I think it's too early to call, but would marginally prefer See You Again at #1 as it's quite a nice song, ignoring the autotune and Wiz's parts... At this stage I think Cheerleader will make it with its massive pre-orders though. It will be strange to see Jess Glynne get three weeks at #1 (probably) on quite low sales followed by one of these massive hits missing #1 entirely! OMI should have released two weeks ago, giving him, Wiz Khalifa and Carly Rae Jepsen two weeks each!

Listening to the chart on Sundays is a tradition for me, and it's going to be sad with the chart moving to a Friday especially as it's unlikely I'll be able to listen very often any more... Also not happy about the chart being condensed as I hate it when they skip songs even when they're old and have been in the chart for ages. On the other hand, Greg James is great! Sorry to see Clara go already, but at least she's not leaving Radio 1. :)

I don't mind having the chart tracking week changing, but the fact that there will be a week with only five days' sales is annoying - sales will look strangely low that week! However, if they do this I'd prefer it if the chart continues to be announced on Sundays - it means we have to wait two days after the sales week ends, but that's not really a big issue, and it means Radio 1 can keep their Sunday show without ratings being harmed. I for one don't have time on a Friday afternoon/evening to listen to the chart as I'm busy, and I would miss listening every week! :(

This is amazing - I could spend hours just looking through the archives! The only negative point I have is that the midweek chart appears to show changes from last week's midweek position rather than Sunday's chart - for example Hozier is shown as being up 4-2 rather than a non-mover! Very odd!

That article says George Ezra is #3 and then lists him as 13 in the list at the bottom, odd... I was against adding streaming to the singles chart, but I accept that it is a reasonable thing to do because it's easy to measure the popularity of singles this way, even if I don't like how hard it's made it for new songs to enter. This, on the other hand, is an utterly pointless thing to do and I'll never support it. Album sales are beyond saving and artificially increasing them in this way makes no sense, but I suppose there's no point complaining as the OCC are just going to do it anyway...

Really annoyed about Kodaline, I'm sure there was a single pre-order when I looked a few weeks ago! Almost everyone who wants the single will be getting it as part of the album now, probably won't even make top 75! :(

I don't think any of those songs did anything on pre-orders or indeed were even up for them. They were available to buy on iTunes already and only entered the charts when their videos took off. I don't see I'm an Albatraoz doing anywhere near as well anyway, I for one don't even find it funny. The others were at least interesting, though #SELFIE is absolutely awful.

I'd think the Blink 182 track will be due to the news regarding them earlier... :lol:

Shake It Off's success would be absolutely ridiculous if it hadn't been removed from Spotify. I would have loved to have seen its chart run :o

Ah, I see. Never watch TV so that explains me not knowing it was on, but yes, I've always thought that 74 peak was far too low. Same with Brand New Day at 75 but that was post-album so not too bad.
