  1. I was really hoping Laura Palmer could enter this week, I bet it's at 41 and probably missed its chance now :(

If it's me you lot are referring to for my post about Kanye West in whatever thread it was, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come across as snobbish, just express my intense dislike of that man. And I did say it was only my opinion, I wasn't intending to insult people who like him as you're perfectly allowed to like whoever you choose and I have nothing against anybody for their music tastes. Maybe I did put it a bit too heatedly, if only for the fact that he's up against a band I love and I feel in terms of character (if the actual music is to be ignored), they're much more deserving of getting a number 1 album than he is - whatever you think about him, you must admit that his ego really doesn't need inflating any more and as far as I'm concerned, nobody has the right to believe they're better than anyone else. That's all I was saying, so, I apologise if I insulted anybody. :)
  3. Pretty sure it will, they were out of the top 40 on iTunes at the beginning of the week and were still low top 40 (around 38?) in the Wednesday midweek because of the EP sales. Since then, the song has actually risen around 20 places and is only now beginning to fall again, so I think they should be safely top 40 :)

I believe Robin Thicke has sold more than last Friday. I know he's not got the Graham Norton performance to boost sales this week, but it is the weekend, it's possible he could do over 200k! :o
  5. Well I for one will be buying Kodaline's album and not Kanye's because they have actual talent and don't make complete trash which can barely be called music... But that's just my opinion. To be honest I'd prefer pretty much any album in existence being number 1 ahead of Kanye West because he really doesn't deserve it and his ego doesn't need to be boosted any higher. I mean, I'd even be happy with Emeli Sande getting another boost and blocking him from number 1, that's how strongly I feel
  6. Haha, thanks!
  7. What happened to Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men? I'm pretty sure it should have appeared by now but can't remember seeing it  Edit: Sorry, found it, I was expecting it to be higher but realised sales only go up to 2012, ignore me
  8. I hate the fact that fake versions even exist in that they take sales away from the original, and the people who make the fake versions are making money from a song that isn't even theirs. Some kind of law should be written making it illegal to put a cover of a song on iTunes before the real version is out. However, in this case, I'd actually like it if loads of people bought a fake version and it did well in the charts, just to teach Icona Pop's label a lesson to show them how stupid they're being! Also, Leah McFall won't be top 5 this week. She's already down to number 6 combined, behind Robin Thicke, Naughty Boy, Daft Punk, Passenger and Taylor Swift :)
  9. Some songs get too much hate :( +15 Union J - Carry You +12 2 Chainz feat. Wiz Khalifa - We Own It +10 David Guetta feat. Ne-Yo & Akon - Play Hard +08 Jessie J feat. Big Sean & Dizzee Rascal - Wild +06 One Direction - One Way Or Another +05 Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull - Live It Up +04 Pitbull feat. Christina Aguilera - Feel This Moment +03 will.i.am feat. Britney Spears - Scream & Shout +02 Nelly - Hey Porsche +01 Emeli Sande - Read All About It Pt. III -05 Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith - La La La -02 The Lumineers - Ho Hey (Not my favourite two songs but they don't deserve as many points as they're getting here)
  10. Taylor Swift could well be top 5 this week - probably behind the again-static current top 4
  11. +5 Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith - La La La +4 Daft Punk feat. Pharrell Williams +3 Olly Murs - Dear Darlin' +2 Passenger - Let Her Go +1 Rudimental feat. Ella Eyre - Waiting All Night -1 Robin Thicke feat. TI & Pharrell - Blurred Lines -2 Fuse ODG - Antenna -3 Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Ray Dalton - Can't Hold Us -4 Jessie J feat. Big Sean & Dizzee Rascal - Wild -5 Union J - Carry You Frankly one of the best top 10s in ages. Like last week there are only two songs I dislike - shame the terrible "We Own It" has been replaced by the awfully generic "Carry You" :P

I can actually see Ho Hey reaching second place on this list. It's going to be in the top 40 this week and next week after the performance, and probably the week after as well, which takes it to at least 35!

Pleased for Kodaline being top 20, though I highly doubt that'll last the week! :( On another note, Disclosure's album is apparently number 6 in the US iTunes chart, what's brought that on? I didn't think anyone knew about them there!
  14. Well thanks! I won't try to convert you because I appreciate when people have different tastes, but I just love how I can really tell that their music is from the heart, and it's such a catchy song - and Steve Garrigan's voice is far nicer to listen to than Roy Stride's! ;)
  15. And I thought you and I could get along... :( Love Like This is probably my favourite song of the year so far :P
  16. It appears that Robin Thicke is going to have another absolutely massive week of sales - according to kworb the number 100 is on 0.0129 which is about the lowest it was when Daft Punk were at their peak - so he could be on for 160k this week :o
  17. I don't actually think Let Her Go will make it, at least not any time soon. Its sales are starting to fall already and it might stick around for a while but has sold less than 400k so far so it seems a bit unlikely. Get Lucky will obviously do it and I think Blurred Lines might as well after this amazing start, as it doesn't even seem to be dropping much on iTunes yet. Same with La La La, that too has a (small) chance. I don't think anything else this year will do it, though Just Give Me A Reason might sometime next year. As for releases later in the year, it doesn't happen that often that a release in the second half of the year sells a million before the year end, but I have a feeling something could do it. I voted 3.
  18. +5 Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith - La La La +4 Daft Punk feat. Pharrell Williams - Get Lucky +3 Olly Murs - Dear Darlin' +2 Robin Thicke feat. TI & Pharrell Williams - Blurred Lines +1 Passenger - Let Her Go -1 Rudimental feat. Ella Eyre - Waiting All Night -2 Demi Lovato - Heart Attack -3 Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Ray Dalton - Can't Hold Us -4 Jessie J feat. Big Sean & Dizzee Rascal - Wild -5 2 Chainz feat Wiz Khalifa - We Own It Pretty good top 10 actually!
  19. Hmm... I wonder who could be number 7... Not as if Jameela just mentioned it is it?
  20. Heart Attack has re-entered the top 10 :o
  21. Eurgh, this abomination prevented Little Talks returning to its peak... :puke:
  22. NOT PLAYING POMPEII. NOT ACCEPTABLE. :(
  23. I think she probably got told just before Duke Dumont that they were running out of time - that's why she'd skip that instead of Ho Hey. But still, I like Ho Hey more (don't shoot me) :D
  24. 97. Kodaline - Love Like This Noticed it's 59p so I think it could do as well as High Hopes! Might stick around for a bit as well since I'd guess it's got more widespread appeal - but maybe that's just wishful thinking. I think I'll be watching the iTunes chart all day now
