iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 16th February 2014
Looks like Happy could overtake Clean Bandit this week, especially with the BRITS! Amazing longevity and I'm not complaining even though I prefer Rather Be. Not really feeling this Sam Smith song though, he's got a great voice and I loved Latch and La La La, but this I just get bored of before it's even finished :(

:D If this goes top 10 where Radioactive couldn't, there is justice in the world after all... Not that I dislike Radioactive, but Demons has been my favourite song from the album ever since it came out!

I'm imagining a situation in which Proper Moist got to number 1

Angels For No 1
Surprised it even did that much to be honest. It was hardly soaring on iTunes!

Ah, thanks. I don't watch TV so never know what's going on with adverts! And yeah, I can see it now, Happy goes back to number 1 on iTunes, cue 6000000 comments...

Why has Happy risen from 74% to 84% in the last 5ish hours?

Songs that could've been bigger hits than they actually were
Never knew this had a featured artist - the version on Now 68 is solo! :o

Yes for Demons! Get that fifth top 40 hit from the same album! :D

...Why is What Now back in the top 40? ^_^

Angels For No 1
Whilst I love Radio, I don't think anyone would choose it for a campaign to get to number 1, since it's already been there! Angels has sold loads but never made it, so it more of an obvious choice I think! :P

Angels For No 1
No way in a million years would this ever work, but it'd be great if it could!

Are you more likely now to wait for a re-released album?
I usually buy the extra tracks individually on iTunes if I already have the album, which I usually do if it's someone I like (and quite often buy albums the day they come out). The only exception I can think of is Bad Blood, which I bought originally on iTunes but wanted the CD version as well, seeing as I like to have all my favourite albums on CD. So when the re-release came out, I bought the CD. That way, whilst I was only getting a few extra tracks, I was also getting the ones I had before on CD for the first time, so it was worth it, plus I contributed two sales to the album. Win-win situation! (I wouldn't do it unless I loved the album though)

The Non No 1 thread
I'd say it's probably right because Wake Me Up came out on John Newman's third week. Songs on this tend to reach no.1 in their third week because that's when the most sales are counted. But Avicii had such massive first week sales that he sold more than John Newman's total from his first three weeks, so the latter never made number 1!

Agree with this mostly, however some people use music as a way of expressing parts of their personality that people don't usually see. Bieber has a horrible personality and horrible music though, so I'm not going to waste my life bothering my thoughts about him.

I don't think that's likely to happen. Unless Pharrell holds up remarkably well, he likely won't be selling enough to beat Gorgon City next week... Though Clean Bandit don't have such a large lead as I'd expected! :o

Buzzjack Reshuffle EOY Chart of 2013
It's funny, because Get Lucky and Pompeii are my favourites out of those six! I'm pretty sure Get Lucky will win, but didn't expect Pompeii to be this high!

Pharrell is STILL in green on kworb, and the number 100 is down to 0.0175 - He could well get yet another week over 100k!
