  8. You will notice that I added "where the wild roses....." I wanted to do that as the 1994 and 1997 Albums where a major shift in previous styles and also during that period she really began to have faith in her ability to write. On a personal level Kylie presented herself to the world as much more confident woman and had a much more grittier Fashion sense. I felt that "Roses" really was part and parcel of those two era's. But I can remove it if people feel it changes the concept of what we are doing.

I am sure you will be able to find playlists on spotify to help refresh your mind on some of the older songs or not so well known ones. This Thread by Paddington may also be of help. http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=268872 I will post the next four Albums tomorrow. How you compile your list is entirely up to you, You can do these 4 now or you can wait the three days when all tracks will be listed. You will have plenty of time to compile your lists, as you will be picking alot of songs, so don't feel rushed :)
  12. I thought we might produce the ultimate Kylie era album with a twist First up, this will require copying and pasting because of poll limitations and I do apologise I will post every song from every Studio Album and I ask you to pick 5 From those results I will ask your to pick 3 from each Album From that we will produce The deluxe version of the final Album (i did say with a twist) and remembering there must be 1 song from every Studio Album From there we will decide the final album, but it must include a song from each studio album, the rest can be your pet loves that have obviously got this far by voting.... Hope this will be a bit of fun
  13. So my friend and I have been going forward with this and we will be starting it all with you in January 2025 We needed to revamp how we were doing it because of some interesting details, especially in the 1988 to 1994 period. We found a lot of early Kylie songs that were major hits inside the official charts, also spent a lot of time outside the official charts but inside the top 100. Quite a few have reached a certain level of certifacation, but this extra detail has given has a closer idea to where they are now concerning gold and plat status etc. So we decided to incorparate all chart rules as they stand now, including the top 100 from 1988. There is a lot of data. We neede the PCM and we also needed the % of that week to put it forward under the new rules (which data shows some were done via stealth) So in the first week of the new year we will post the top sales of her career in 1988..around 10 days later 1989 will be added..10 days later it will of reached a top 10 sales of 1990 and the top 10 sales overall. This will continue, including updating the sales of older songs as the year progresses At the end of the year we will show all Sales as we believed they would of happened if 36 years of Kylie was streamimg/ Purely for charts/stats nerds. I have another side project that isn't quite so indepth and much more in reality, will share that soon.
  14. I am quite happy with the vote really. I honestly thought that only 3 of us would take tension over PP (Pandamic, Jesse and Myself) So 6 is great.... And now it's time to prove the old saying :Damn lies and statistics: The Headline shall read: Tension stuns Padam by a stunning 200% increase above the expected results Yes, thats much better lmao
  15. Thank you for your reply, I think we both understand a little better on what each other was trying to say in our posts. Face to Face we most likely would of understood what each other was saying straight away, it's always a bit harder with words from a distance. Take care.
  16. I agree wholeheartedly. I have 6 from both the albums on my kylie playlist The top 3 from the Survival thread and LGA, SFM and SLY T2 I first heard my Mum playing BTDYK in the early 2000's as a kid. That whole song and that part where she jumps into "I'll take you back, I'll take you back again" is incredible. But now I am digressing, sorry
  17. I don't think it has broadly affected her career either and I certainly didn't imply it had. Kylie is a business woman though and a very clever one at that, not quite in the realm of "Dolly", but very clever just the same. Her outlier endevours generate alot of money, especially her real estate holdings that the whole family is involved in. I would say the whole era has been financially successful, especially when you throw in Vegas on top of it all, but this part has got to be bleeding and Kylie/Darenote/BMG would be aware of that I would imagine (imho) that would come into consideration when talking about how much money to throw behind the new era. I never used the word embarrassment or hinted at it, so not sure why you are implying that in your post. I also never said or hinted at the marketing being wrong of the album. I think my "history says" and your "at the end of the day" pretty much allign to be fair. As in my original post, I also wont be giving a critque of the Album here either. I beg to differ on the "generally well recieved", but then again sensible people would ignore "Reviewers" anyhow. What they say is just opinion, nothing more, nothing less. Just like my and your post.
  18. The real cold reality is T2 had 5 songs out in the domain when it was released. Kylie's Fan base took it to number 1. The General public really had no interest in any of the songs or the Album. History will rightly say it was a "Number 1 Album." I know this may seem harsh, but the truth is T2 has been a total disaster for Kylie and I think for many of us as well. The otherside of the coin though is much brighter, the first part of this era was a huge success on many levels and of course the final part, the tour, already has success written all over it. So overall the Era has been successful and has probably achieved more than expected. I think most people will see the Era as great overall and won't dwell of this part of it. I imagine we will probably get a Kylie live Album from the tour. I also feel she has the next era well into it's planning stages and I am betting on a Sept 2025 start for the new era (fingers crossed)
  19. I voted PP...The final 3 are my favorite 3 on the album, but I put HOTN and Tension 1st and 2nd
  20. It was a very tough top 3. I personally think they are the best 3 songs on T1. The 3 songs remind me of the video of "Did it again" You have the pure Dance Kylie with Padam v The "outthere" dance kylie of Tension v the Introspective Kylie in HOTN. Just no Indie Kylie lol. The Final should be fun. Still very happy to see HOTN doing so well also :)
  21. If only it was Spotify. 5 sales is better than nothing I guess lol
  22. oh. definitely HOTN/LCA....Finally releasing that bloody video for HOTN, we know you have it Kylie tucked away somewhere
  23. I have been thinking about this for sometime... Picture it, it's 2025 and a young girl sicilian peasant girl..um...a young girl from Melbourne Australia, Kylie Ann Minogue releases a remake of "Locomotion"... We know what happened bewteen 1988 and 2008 But what if I could step back in time and rebuild her career based on the data of the UK streaming Market in 2024? It would take time and an awful lot of data, it isn't just her data, but everyone elses data during her chart runs. it would mean breaking done the sales of each week of those charts and extropalating them to the current Streaming Market. It would not be perfect, too many variables to make it so. (I'm beginning to sound like a cliche of tv shows :P ) It would take a lot of time and I would have to release the data bit by bit as I gather and process it. My end goal is to develop Kylie's career as if she was a Streaming artist. I have the foundations laid already...but only want to go ahead if people are interested..it's fun and has no historical value of course. By the way, as of Week 6 "Locomtion 2025" has outsold the full known UK sales of "Locomotion 1988"
  24. TWDFL...As my partner says, "it's rather twee to almost needing insulin after"
