  1. Oh that’s good. Has she been promoting it a bit more this week?
  2. So what separated them in the end? Was it just alphabetically?
  3. I don’t know if anyone can realistically say Adele, but I’m going to anyway. Here’s my reasoning: I purchased 19 the day it was released in Australia, I don’t even recall it charting at all until after 21 blew up. I also purchased Chasing Pavements and Cold Shoulder on cd when they were released here and bought 21 the night before it was released as there was that little buzz here the record store actually had it on their shelves early. Saying all that though I know she was a household name in the UK. So mine basically applies to here in Australia.
  4. Very valid point and I wonder that too. They had stability to a degree, so I think they’d have been ok compared to the debut high and then plummet songs/artists.
  5. A song fully deserving of the #1 title.
  6. Nice idea! I’ll have to have a play around with it and post mine soon.
  7. Biffy Clyro - Mountains
  8. Kanye West - Diamonds From Sierra Leone
  9. Element Four - Big Brother UK TV Theme Mariah not far behind though.
  10. A little surprised with the result, though I love both songs.
  11. Is anyone seeing Faye in 101 Dalmatians or even Sleeping Beauty when December comes around?
  12. Just realised I hadn’t voted. Ultimate Collection & Platinum Collection for me.
  13. I followed the 2009 one too! Would check the internet every Sunday and Monday morning for the performances and results. That was the first year I started watching it really, I was a big fan of Alexandra Burke after she won in 2008.
  14. Do What U Want (feat. Christina Aguilera)
  15. I still remember the time I heard All I Want For Christmas Is You in my old works cafe in September.
  16. Even though I don’t live in England I was still following the charts then and I can still remember that weekend. It feels like a lifetime ago.
  17. That’s a very good pick. Not just in the UK and Ireland either. C'est la Vie & Rollercoaster got to #6 & #1 in Australia and To You I Belong #25 and Blame It On The Weatherman #48 all made the top 50. Their debut album also got to #5 and was certified 2x Platinum. Awake and Breathe got to #70 with neither of its two singles cracking the top 50. Jump Down limped in at #88 and I Shall Be There didn’t even get released.
  18. Ah ok thanks, so still a while to go.
  19. Hopefully it can climb from its #39 debut in Australia.
  20. What great news this is! Hopefully we’re not waiting too long for the other singles.
  21. Kanye West - Diamonds From Sierra Leone
  22. Biffy Clyro - Mountains
  23. Starstruck has survived longer than I thought it would.
  24. A little surprised that Just Dance tops the list.
